Reborn In A Perverse Monster World! My System Adapts To Everything!-Chapter 23: Find Me At The Center.
Jason followed behind the two elves cautiously, keeping a measured distance. He knew not to overstep his boundaries. One wrong move, one careless word, and he could set off their alarm. So he kept his mouth shut, eyes forward, and tried to look as dignified as a guy who had just been mistaken for a high-born elf could manage.
The streets of Eldrath were busy in the morning light, but the stares were impossible to ignore. Creatures of all kinds paused to watch him pass — fox-like merchants, scaled lizardfolk, and tall bird-headed beings. Their eyes lingered a little too long. Jason noticed the stares, but deep down, he loved the attention. It reminded him of the fleeting moments on Earth when a bad comedy clip went viral for the wrong reasons. At least this time people weren’t throwing glasses at him. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
They walked toward the center of the city, and the closer they got, the bigger the palace looked. From afar it had seemed like a small estate on the hill. Up close, Jason realized this place was gigantic — big enough to house a small village, with towering spires, wide courtyards, and walls that seemed to stretch forever. He couldn’t see through the outer gate at all; it looked like solid white stone from the outside.
One of the elves in front raised her hand. The gate responded to her mana, glowing with a soft blue light before sliding open smoothly. Jason didn’t say a word as they stepped through.
The moment he crossed the gate line, everything came into view. The illusion shattered. Dozens and dozens of beautiful elves filled the inner courtyard and walkways. These were the closest things to humans he had seen since arriving in this world — slender, graceful, with flawless skin and elegant features. He was amazed by how beautiful they all were. But there was something he noticed immediately: they were all women. Not a single male elf in sight.
"Fucking hell... look at these beauties!" Jason thought to himself, his eyes widening.
The gate shut silently behind him. Jason was confused for a second. He could swear that before he entered, he couldn’t see a single thing inside, but now he could see everything outside clearly, as if the gate had become transparent from this side.
"Magic?" Jason muttered very quietly to himself.
The elves guiding him didn’t seem to hear. They led him through a wide corridor lined with flowering vines and floating lanterns. "This way, Great One," one of them said softly. "We have prepared everything for your comfort."
They stopped in front of a large, ornate door and opened it. The room inside was luxurious — a massive bed with silk sheets, a polished wooden table already set with plates of food and bowls of strange, colorful fruits he had never seen before in his life. The air smelled sweet and fresh.
"Please make yourself comfortable," the second elf said with a respectful bow. "If you need anything, simply ring the crystal bell by the bed. Someone will attend to you shortly."
Jason nodded, trying to keep his cool. "Thank you."
The elves left, closing the door gently behind them. The moment they were gone, Jason let out a long breath.
He was confused. Who wanted to meet him? There was no way this was a female-only civilization, right? He shrugged it off for now and walked over to the table. His stomach was growling loudly. He picked up one of the unfamiliar fruits — deep purple with a soft, glowing skin — and bit into it. The juice exploded in his mouth, incredibly sweet and refreshing, like nothing he had ever tasted.
"Holy shit, this is good," he mumbled, taking another big bite. He wanted to devour everything on the table, but he forced himself to slow down. He had to maintain his composure. He was supposed to be some important "Great One," after all.
Jason wandered over to the window and looked out at the inner courtyard. More beautiful female elves moved gracefully between the gardens and pathways.
"Ylva is going to freak out when she finds out I’m surrounded by all these pretty elves," he thought with a smirk. "Hope she doesn’t tear the place apart looking for me."
Suddenly, a powerful migraine rocked his brain. Sharp pain stabbed behind his eyes, so intense he nearly screamed. Jason clutched his head, staggering back until he dropped to one knee.
"Fuck... what the..." he hissed through gritted teeth.
The pain lasted only a few seconds. He quickly pulled himself together and stood up just as the door opened again. Luckily, the newcomer hadn’t seen him on the floor.
It was none other than Tauriel.
And boy, did she look like the cream of the crop at the top of the food chain. Her robes were thin and elegant, barely containing her massive chest. Her nipples poked noticeably through the sheer fabric as she moved. She carried herself with absolute confidence, every step radiating authority.
"Welcome, Great One," Tauriel said smoothly, bowing slightly. The motion made the top of her cleavage threaten to spill out. "I am Tauriel, the temporary ruler of this sanctuary. We are deeply honored by your presence."
Jason swallowed hard, trying not to stare too obviously at her chest. "Uh... thank you. Nice place you’ve got here."
Tauriel smiled, her eyes looking at him with clear interest. "We apologize for the humble tavern you were forced to stay in last night. Had we known a pure-blood of your caliber was visiting, we would have prepared far better accommodations. May I ask what brings you to our humble city?"
Jason scratched the back of his head, trying to think fast. "Just... passing through. Exploring the region. You know how it is."
Tauriel stepped closer, her scent — rich and intoxicating — washing over him. "Then please allow us to make your stay memorable. Is there anything you desire? Food? Wine? Company?" Her voice dropped slightly on the last word.
Jason’s cock twitched again at the pheromones rolling off her skin. He forced a calm smile. "Wine sounds... interesting. But I’m still a bit tired from the journey."
"He is a young one?" Tauriel thought to herself, the way he reacted to her it was clear he was yet to be corrupted.
Tauriel’s smile widened, clearly pleased. "Of course, Great One. Rest as long as you need. I will personally ensure no one disturbs you... unless you wish otherwise." She gave another small bow, her breasts straining against the fabric, before turning toward the door. "If you need me, simply call my name. I will come at once."
As soon as the door closed behind her, Jason let out a long breath and dropped onto the edge of the bed.
"Holy shit," he whispered. "This place is dangerous."
He glanced at the table full of food, then at the luxurious room, and finally at the closed door. Somewhere out there, Ylva was probably losing her mind looking for him. And somewhere in this palace, that strange voice from his dream was still calling to him.
"Find me... At the center..."
Jason rubbed his temples. He had a feeling things were about to get a lot more complicated.
