Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 204: Take Action
Cyrus rushed to the hospital to gather clues on who could’ve taken Amelia and where.
His wolf was restless and edgy. Even a little provocation was enough to make him lose control. First, it was Dominic’s daring move, then it was his mother’s demise, and now someone kidnapped Amelia, all on their watch.
It bothered him that, despite being one of the legendary wolves, he couldn’t protect his mate, and this was the second time.
Although he didn’t blame Cyrus, given the situation’s demands on his presence, he still felt disappointed.
It was the third time they lost sight of their mate in the same week, and she got hurt—the thought alone made him loathe himself.
When Cyrus reached there, the guards who were appointed to guard the room and ensure nothing happened to Amelia stood in a line in the corridor.
Everyone kept their gaze low, not daring to look into the eyes of their seething King, knowing they failed at their job.
"Who was the one who gave Amelia that food?" Cyrus asked.
He knew one thing for sure. His woman wasn’t someone who wouldn’t put up a fight before going down and letting someone take her just like that.
The way the team described the food as being spilled on the floor, it was clear that something was definitely in it.
The guard who had given the food to Amelia walked forward and looked at his king with remorse.
"It was me, sir," he said.
Cyrus looked at the man who looked like he was already drowning in grief and clenched his fists.
He wanted to be tough on them, but remembering Amelia’s advice to be easy on people who genuinely care, he sighed.
"And who gave it to you? Did you go and bring it? Because I didn’t send anyone," he asked.
The guard informed him that a nurse at the hospital had reported that someone from the palace had delivered the item at the entrance, and she had brought it there. She gave it to him because he wouldn’t let her go inside.
They even inquired about that nurse and found out she left immediately after that.
It was likely that she had taken money from someone to do that and was now running.
Two people were already investigating her whereabouts to uncover the truth about who had asked her to do everything.
Cyrus nodded at them and walked inside the room.
The first thing he noticed was the spilled drink, and his brows scrunched, not because of the mess but because of the smell.
This smell was too familiar for him not to recognize it.
He had clearly asked everyone not to enter the room so he could trace some lingering smell if it were anyone he knew, and his intuition was correct.
"Killian, that b*stard!" Cyrus growled.
He turned to Fabian and immediately asked him to contact Killian’s beta, Joseph, and ask him where that man was.
He asked one team to trace Killian’s number and get his location. If he took Amelia, the chances were that she wasn’t in that significant danger.
However, he didn’t want to take any chances. He would be damned if that man touched his woman inappropriately even once.
After that, he called Kyle.
"Did you find anything with that pendant that you use to track Amelia? We need all the information. Also, you mentioned that you were in contact with mages; could you please reach out to them? They should know." Cyrus said.
Kyle told him he was already onto it and was trying to track the location through the pendant. However, it was getting hard for some reason. It wasn’t working as efficiently as it used to be.
Also, he never contacted the mages; it was always them who contacted him first.
Cyrus’s hope dimmed at his words, and he sighed.
"Okay. I’ll let you know if I find anything." Cyrus ended the call, knowing Kyle was already on his way to him.
He then contacted his grandfather again.
"Cyrus, you left so quickly without telling us anything properly. What’s going on? Has Amelia been found?" Grayson asked hurriedly.
Cyrus took a deep breath before telling him everything about what happened, about Killian being the one who probably took her away.
He asked her if he had any way to contact Mages, and Grayson was about to reply when Trevor walked up to him.
"Sir, a lady is here. She says she is close to Miss Amelia and wants to meet her," he said.
Cyrus told Grayson he would call again and walked towards the end of the corridor.
"Yes?" Cyrus asked, his gaze hard and observant. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The lady turned and smiled at the man politely.
"I am Eve. I am close to Miss Amelia and was wondering if I could meet her. She is my... I work for her," Eve said, not knowing how much Cyrus knew about Amelia’s adventure.
Cyrus hummed.
"Amelia recently told me about a group of people working for her who had helped her save my mother. I am grateful to you guys, but I am afraid Amelia is not available at the moment," Cyrus said.
As soon as the lady heard his words, she thought he was deliberately dismissing her and stepped forward to stop him, but was blocked by the guards.
"Sir, please let me meet her. I know she is being treated here. I wasn’t the one who participated in this mission because they never asked me for help. I am actually... I lied to her. I am not a werewolf. Rather, I am a witch who had been living there in pretense to care for her. It was my duty to protect her, and I failed. This is the only way I can make up for it," the lady said.
As soon as Cyrus heard her words, Cyrus paused and looked at her with raised brows.
What did she say? She was a witch?
"You mean you work under Arnold?" He asked.
The lady’s eyes beamed with hope.
"You know my leader." She clapped her hands.
Cyrus nodded.
"Someone kidnapped Amelia. I need to contact him, but I’m not sure how to go about it. Can you help me?" Cyrus asked.
The lady was momentarily surprised when she heard that someone had kidnapped Amelia, as it meant she had failed for the second time. If she weren’t busy pretending to be a good subordinate, she might have done better at her job.
"I will tell them," Eve said dejectedly, knowing all too well a punishment awaited her.
She asked Cyrus if she could use a room, and Cyrus asked the hospital staff, who led them to a clean and empty room.
She closed her eyes before swirling her hand in the air.
"I call the divine powers of Mother Nature to allow me to contact my leader and pardon my intrusion."
As soon as she said those words, a globe-like object appeared before her, and she could see Arnold’s direct subordinate, Aiden, standing there.
"What’s the matter, Eve?" Aiden asked.
Cyrus didn’t waste a second and walked forward.
"I am King Cyrus, Amelia’s husband. I need to talk to Arnold. Someone kidnapped Amelia," he said.
He could see Aiden’s pupils dilating, and the man looked behind himself before whispering a few words.
It wasn’t long before Arnold appeared before the globe.
"What’s the matter?" Arnold asked.
Cyrus told him everything that happened, and Arnold clenched his fists.
"We wanted to take her away with us. We wanted to care for her and keep her safe, but she said her two mates were there and nothing would happen to her now. Looks like we were wrong to trust," Arnold said.
Cyrus wanted to retort, but now wasn’t the time to do anything of that sort.
Arnold called upon Scarlett, but she wasn’t in the realm; she had already left.
Fabian rushed to Cyrus to tell him they had located Killian, and Cyrus nodded at Arnold.
~~~~~~~
Scarlett had promised herself one thing. She might have ignored her daughter’s pain and suffering in the past, but she wouldn’t let anything happen to her now that she was in the picture.
When she went to meet Amelia, she had deliberately placed a tracking device inside her neck through her magic.
It wasn’t magic; it was a human-made chip that she knew would work no matter where the girl was or who was against them.
She knew Adele would be striking soon. That was precisely what she had done at that time, too.
Everyone had watched in horror how that woman whose name was forbidden to speak without bringing bad luck to oneself was tied to a pole and then tortured by the kings of the two species she loved the most. Though the truth was later discovered, the damage was done.
She feared something similar happening to her daughter, and thus, without even consulting Arnold, who always hid the truth from her, she took that step.
When she reached back in the realm with the dagger that Dominic had, she had only pulled out the ancient books to read and see if they could use them to kill Adele’s soul or use it in some way, when she thought of checking on her daughter.
However, she noticed that her daughter wasn’t at the hospital where she had left her.
At first, she thought that she was probably returning to the werewolf kingdom, but she could see her chip showing a completely different direction.
She sensed something was wrong immediately.
Thus, she followed the chip and saw Hannah, Killian, and one person she never thought would betray them, standing in that confined space through her globe.
She couldn’t go there directly because she knew Giselle was too powerful and would immediately know of her presence. She couldn’t dare to be impulsive and risk Amelia getting hurt.
She began by creating a shield around the so-called cave they were in, designed to block any sense and energy from outside from entering the area. This would prevent Giselle from sensing their presence, even if they stood right outside the region.
Please be safe, my little one. Mommy is trying everything and will do anything to save you. Scarlett wished in her heart.
She then contacted Arnold, who was already casting a spell to reach where she was.
Not only that, but he even used a mass teleporting spell to teleport Cyrus and Kyle, along with his team, to this place.
Due to performing such a big teleportation right after gaining their powers, Arnold stumbled forward and fell on his knees, blood dripping from his nose.
Scarlett’s face ashened at her husband’s condition.
"Stay back, Arnold. I have already created a shield. We will take it from here," Scarlett said before looking at the two men her daughter was mated to.
"You must be her mother." Cyrus bowed to her briefly, followed by Kyle, who nodded at her.
Arnold shook his head at her words, standing from his place.
"No. I must seek justice for my daughter myself. I have failed her time after time. But not this time. This time, I will protect her like a father should, like a responsible parent should. Even if I die in that process, I will accept it," Arnold said with a soft, tired smile before wiping the blood from his nose with the back of his hand.
Cyrus looked at Kyle before nodding.
"Are we ready for this?" He asked.
"I am always ready," Kyle said, his gaze sharpening when he saw Killian collecting wood at some distance.
It looked like they even had the target to start from.
