Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 203: The Ancient witch, Hannah, and Killian
Pain struck. Helpless.
That was all Amelia could feel when her eyes fluttered open, and the events of what had happened before she fell unconscious rushed to her head.
She looked around, her gaze darkening when she noticed she was tied to a chair with metal chains. That wasn’t all. She was also in some kind of muddy prison with bars.
Moon wolf. Are you there? Amelia tried to call her wolf, struggling against the chains with urgency.
No reply came. She tried again, but even after a few times, no one replied from the other side.
She bit her lips helplessly, looking out of the prison, where she could see Hannah talking to Killian and a lady at some distance.
They probably didn’t know she was awake or didn’t care. After all, where would she run like this?
She was about to call Hannah and Killian to ask what they wanted from her and why they were doing this when she saw the face of the lady they were talking to.
That ancient face...wasn’t she the same woman who gave that mark on her wrist? Amelia remembered her mother’s words and gulped.
They had an enemy in their cult, they said.
Did that mean this woman had been their enemy from the beginning, and everything she said about the mark, about controlling, and all those words were just lies?
Deep in her thoughts, Amelia didn’t realize when Hannah walked closer to her cell.
"Hello, Amelia," she said.
Her voice sounded a little strange to Amelia’s ears.
She just looked up, not bothering to answer the girl and give her the satisfaction of seeing her in pain and struggling.
Hannah smirked.
"What happened, Amelia? Why do you look so dejected? Are you unable to call your moon wolf out?" Hannah’s expression was full of mockery and contempt.
Amelia struggled against the chains at her words.
"You are going to regret this, Hannah. I am telling—" Amelia paused.
Wait. Did she say ’moon wolf’? How the hell did Hannah know about her moon wolf? Apart from Cyrus, Kyle, and Amora, no one knew about it.
Amelia looked at the girl carefully. Hannah’s smile widened.
"Haven’t you already? I am that demonic energy that warned you I will ruin you," Hannah said.
Amelia’s pupils dilated.
She remembered her parents telling her that the energy probably wanted to kill her now more than ever because that was exactly what she always did, destroying every happiness the cult ever felt.
A little fear rose in her heart at the thought, and she struggled hard against the chains.
"I dare you to open these chains. If you think you are great and can harm me and my mates, open these, and we can have a fair fight," Amelia tried to provoke her, hoping she would accept the challenge.
Hannah, however, just smiled.
"Do you think I am a fool? Besides, who said I want to kill you? You are mistaken. I won’t harm that vessel that I want to come and live in," she smiled, evil dripping from her eyes.
Amelia’s heart thumped at her words.
She didn’t want to kill her? And why did she call her a vessel?
It wasn’t hard for her to understand what the demonic energy was trying to do here. She didn’t want to kill her completely, not her body at least. She tried to take over so she could live this life.
The realization made Amelia swallow hard.
"I won’t allow you to," Amelia said resolutely.
Hannah grinned.
"Well, you are not exactly in a position to stop me. Everything is almost ready." Hannah turned around and was about to leave when she remembered something and turned back to Amelia.
"Hannah killed her mother to win the trial. When I offered her vengeance, she got ready to let me take over. Also, don’t try to call your wolf. This prison is made from special soil of the forbidden forest, where magic is prohibited. Even the bars are laced with that soil. So don’t waste your efforts." Hannah said and left.
Amelia slumped back in the chair, her gaze shifting to Killian, who was standing at some distance and talking to someone over the call.
As if he could feel her stare, he turned to her. With a soft expression, he walked to her.
"I know you hate me. I mean, you have hated me for a long time now, but I promise you once everything is over, you will come to love me. This is good for you. I am freeing you from that monster once and for all," Killian said.
It was crystal clear that Killian had no idea about her two mates or that Hannah wasn’t even herself. There was a demonic energy inside her that wanted to take over, and when that happened, he would never get her.
Hoping that if she told him the truth, he would help her out, at least from this prison where she couldn’t call her wolf, Amelia opened her mouth and was about to speak when Hannah beat him to it.
"Killian, we need wood for the fire of ritual. Please bring them," Hannah said.
Amelia shook her head.
"Killian, listen to me. Everything you are seeing is fake. She is not Hannah. I mean, she is Hannah, but there is an energy inside her. They are not performing a ritual to sever the mate bond. They want to kill me, take away my soul so that energy could come inside me and—" Amelia started speaking nonetheless.
Killian looked at the girl for some time before sighing.
"Everything will be alright," he said.
Amelia shook her head in denial.
She didn’t know what these two told him, but she needed to make him see the truth.
"Killian, you don’t understand —"
"We are getting late," Hannah said, and without waiting to hear what Amelia had to say, Killian left.
As soon as Killian left, a smirk appeared on Hannah’s face.
"Now it’s just you and me," she said.
Amelia watched Hannah like a hawk as she pulled a syringe-like device along with what looked like thin pipes used in a hospital.
A couple of bottles were placed in a tray that Hannah picked, and she put everything in that tray.
"Now," the ancient witch said to Hannah.
Hannah nodded and walked to the prison before opening it.
"What do you want? What are you doing?" Amelia asked, panic clear in her eyes when she saw the needles.
Hannah placed the tray aside and raised her hand before bringing it down with force.
The hard slap echoed in the silent environment, whipping Amelia’s face to the side.
Amelia could taste the metallic liquid in her mouth as her ears rang, her cheeks feeling hot because of the impact. Tears brimmed in her eyes, and she quickly blinked them away.
"Because of you, my mom died."
Amelia looked up. These were definitely Hannah’s words.
"I didn’t do anything to have your mom killed. You were the one who wanted to participate and the one who killed her. You can’t blame anyone but yourself for what you did. What? You think you are some kind of saint? You are Satan’s pawn, the worst of all." Amelia said.
She felt no pity for a person who killed her mother for the throne. Someone like Hannah didn’t even know one percent of what it felt like to lose a parent.
Hannah gritted her teeth.
"How dare you?!" She raised her hand again but stopped.
"Now I would’ve let Hannah slap you again, but I don’t want her to harm the body that would be mine in the future." The demonic energy smirked before it inserted the needle in Amelia’s hand.
Amelia looked at the setup and finally understood what she was doing.
They were drawing her blood, her golden blood, and storing it in the bottles. But why?
"This will ensure your golden blood doesn’t hinder my taking over your body. I will withdraw a significant amount, so brace yourself. It’s going to hurt. After all, I am not a professional," Hannah said as she pinched the middle of the IV, making Amelia scream in pain.
Now that is something I love to hear. The demonic energy said before she locked the prison and left.
Amelia, who had already been healing from Dominic’s torture and had lost quite some blood earlier, started feeling dizzy after some time, her breath becoming shallow as her body began to ache terribly.
It was painful, beyond painful. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Her eyes closed, and she wondered if this forbidden prison would allow the magic of the mate bond and if her mates could feel her pain.
As much as she wanted them to find her, she didn’t want them to feel what she was going through.
She didn’t know what she did to deserve this kind of treatment from the world. These days, she had been feeling that pain was the only thing in her life.
Just when she starts to think everything will go alright, things have to go downhill in the worst way again.
Her pendant had lost its connection to the moon goddess, and now it wouldn’t work. Her moon wolf was nowhere to be seen, and she wondered if her parents would ever discover she had been kidnapped or if it would be too late by then.
Amelia’s consciousness started slipping away once again, and she took a shallow breath.
"I hope in the next lifetime, I get the chance to love you again, Cyrus and Kyle," she whispered to herself before finally losing her grip on that consciousness.
