After the waiter collected the menu and stepped away, Selena Kensington began to take in her surroundings.

"This really is the oldest restaurant in the city center..."

As Selena waited for the dishes to arrive, she noticed a waiter pushing a dessert cart towards them.

The desserts were dazzling.

There were several types of ice cream alone.

Selena felt tempted, and she looked at Sterling Norwood, saying coyly, "Sterling..."

Sterling paused and said.

Selena pouted, but having some is better than none.

She picked two from the dessert cart.

Selena returned to her seat and used a small spoon to scoop a bite into her mouth.

After finishing that spoonful, she scooped another and extended it, "Sterling, try it. It’s delicious."

Sterling looked at her and chuckled, "Already embarrassed?"

She abruptly lifted her head to retort, only to find Sterling looking at her with amusement.

She realized she had fallen into his teasing trap again...

Just then, the waiter brought the food to the table, and looking at those exquisite dishes with even meticulous presentation, Selena couldn’t be bothered to argue with Sterling anymore.

Halfway through the meal, Selena noticed Sterling had paused.

His gaze was gentle as he looked at her, like a deep blue pond one could drown in.

Selena was slightly puzzled.

Behind her, a waiter from Boeucc Restaurant came over pushing a small cart.

There was a small cake on it.

Selena thought it was for guests at another table until the waiter stopped beside their table.

The waiter smiled at Selena and Sterling and said, "Happy first wedding anniversary to you both."

The waiter spoke in English, so Selena understood.

She suppressed the surprise and excitement within and looked at Sterling.

He nodded towards her.

Sterling stood up, slightly bent over, with one hand held behind his back.

He took her ring-bearing hand and lightly kissed on top of the ring.

"Happy first anniversary, my lady."

Selena smiled, her eyes glistening with warmth, "Yes, happy first anniversary, my gentleman."

Sterling’s lips curved up, feeling immensely joyful.

The waiter placed the cake on their table, bowed slightly, and departed.

Sela didn’t know if it was the earlier surprise making her feel sweet or the cream causing such sweetness, but she felt as if she was soaking in a honey jar.

After eating, they both returned to the hotel.

On the way up in the hotel elevator, Selena tugged at Sterling’s sleeve.

Sterling looked down at her.

"Shouldn’t we tomorrow..."

She smiled at him with a hint of flattery.

Sterling felt somewhat helpless; he naturally understood what Selena meant.

She was still thinking about The Golden Quadrangle Shopping District in Mirel City.

Remembering the makeup issue this morning, Sterling once again doubted the plans for tomorrow.

But he still nodded.

His wife didn’t have many hobbies; it was either eating or shopping.
