Reborn as the Sweetheart of a Paranoid Boss-Chapter 185: Aunt
Selena Kensington had just turned around to walk a few steps when she heard the two guards behind her respectfully call out.
"Aunt." π³ππ²ππ¨ππ―πππ§ππΉ.π°πΌπ
Selena instinctively looked back.
And was taken aback.
The woman was wearing a complex and vibrant red and white gown, with her slender, fair thighs faintly visible beneath the fabric.
Her long silver hair was draped casually over her shoulders.
It was unclear if it was dyed or natural, but the silver hair was strikingly noticeable under the sunlight.
In her arms, she held a snow-white fox, its flaming red fox mark vividly clear on its neck.
As if sensing Selenaβs gaze, she lifted her eyes slightly.
Looking at Selena.
In those pitch-black eyes, there seemed to be a flicker of an eerie red light.
An arrogant, indifferent, condescending look.
Yet it didnβt make one feel uncomfortable, as if she was born this way.
Selena trembled and quickly turned to leave.
At that moment, Selena realized that some people are noble from birth.
Like Sterling Norwood, and like the woman Selena had just seen.
The two guards respectfully and devoutly called her βauntβ.
But for some reason, at the moment she saw that woman, especially those strange eyes, a malicious desire in her heart seemed to burst forth, clamoring and devouring her.
She felt a headache coming on; those eyes... she had seen them somewhere before.
She managed to suppress those feelings but still felt a lingering panic.
Even though it was their first meeting, she was filled with hostility and a hint of fear towards the woman.
Had she... forgotten something?
Selena returned to the hotel feeling somewhat out of sorts.
"Sister?" Hugh Kensington called out to her curiously.
Selena snapped back to herself.
"...Ah? Whatβs wrong?"
Hugh found it strange. Had his sister encountered something while she was out?
Why did she seem so absent-minded, with a hint of lingering fear in her eyes...
Hugh shook his head, "Itβs nothing, did you finish your fieldwork?"
Only then did Selena remember her task. She patted her face to wake herself up.
"Yes, the scenery here is very unique and beautiful. If you have a chance, take Quinn to see it."
"...Alright."
Afterward, Selena forced herself to forget about todayβs events and threw herself into work.
The Westport Tourism Bureau, having heard they were from the "Immortal Path" production crew, and knowing something about the popularity of "Immortal Path," welcomed them warmly, anticipating the benefits it would bring to Westport. They were very cooperative with the crewβs filming needs.
Hugh and Felicity Dalton also worked seamlessly together, finishing their scenes in just a week.
The final scene was the farewell between Zane Quinn and Yara Helmsworth.
Selena watched the affectionate pair in the crew and reminded herself that this was the last scene. After all, the two had been flaunting their affection in front of her for a week, so it was no big deal.
After all, they were her brother and future sister-in-law, she couldnβt afford to offend them.
...She missed her Sterling.
Sigh.
The crew members exchanged glances upon seeing Selena lost in her own worries again.
Life isnβt easy, Director Kensington sighed.
Fortunately, this scene had been performed by Felicity Dalton during her audition, and with the pairβs week-long practice, it quickly passed inspection.
Once this scene was wrapped up, the crew could call it a day.
Selena was watching the footage they had just shot when Hugh walked over.
"Whatβs wrong?"
Selena looked at Hughβs hesitant expression.
"Sister, are we heading back tomorrow?"
Hugh hesitated for a moment and asked.
Selena nodded. Since filming was done, they naturally should return as soon as possible.
"...Could we delay it? Tomorrow is the Festival of Colors."
