Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family-Chapter 1064: Limited time packs
"Thank you for refueling at the Reborn Gas Station!" said the attendant. Then, as the driver was about to exit the pump, she turned towards him and gave him something with both hands.
"As part of our opening ceremony, we currently have a limited time promotion in which ever refueling will come with a free booster pack of Grand Turbo cards!"
The man looked confused as he was handed a thin, rectangular plastic pack that was unlike anything he had ever held before.
"What is this?" he asked the attendant.
"It’s a collection of cards that contain all the exotic and special automobiles that the Reborn company has in store. Most of them will be in the normal rarity, but if you’re lucky, you may even get the Ultra Rare SSS+ card!"
The man gulped, his eyes glazing. He didn’t know what those words meant, but his inner desire was suddenly alight with yearning.
So, without even waiting a second later, the man looked at the pack in his hands and followed the instructions written on the top. ’Tear here’, so he did.
Finally, he saw the first card. It showed an automobile with a weird shape, one that emanated strength and speed.
{Mustang}
{Rarity: B+}
{Speed: 88}
{Handling: 86}
{Turbo: 87}
The man’s eyes widened. Just from the description written below, it seemed that this {Mustang} automobile was exactly his kind of style!
It was extremely different from the automobiles that the Reborn company released. It was sleeker and much more refined than the ones currently running around in New Sparta grounds.
Reborn could make such automobiles?! Why weren’t they creating something like this?!
Then, the man swiped to the next card after the first one. Then, the next. And the next.
And finally, he reached the last of the cards. And this one was even more different from the other cards. It was heavier, and its surface was almost glittery. The pattern showed itself as the man let light hit it from different angles. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
He couldn’t help himself as he almost salivated at the cool and awesome sketch included in the card. It was glistening like the stars!
{Parsche 911}
{Rarity: S+}
"Wow!"
The attendant watching from the sidelines couldn’t help but shout out loud. "Congratulations customer, it looked like you hit one of the good cards in the pack!"
Then, she leaned in closer. "To be honest, if you would like, I could trade you my {Chevroley Corbette} for your {911}. I already have two, and that is the last one I need to complete the pack."
The man’s eyes widened. "You mean to tell me that there are other cards that aren’t included in this pack?"
"Yes, customer! Each pack will be completely random, choosing five from a selection of a hundred."
"...and how am I supposed to get more of these ’booster’ packs? Can I purchase them?"
The attendant shook her head. "Unfortunately, we do not sell these booster packs. You can only avail them after refueling in all of our gas stations you can find all over the Lower Queens region!"
The man nodded, his eyes filled with determination. "Thanks for telling me. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll have a pack to complete."
And with those words, the man sped off the pump and exited out of the gas station, his foot completely pushed on the accelerator pedal.
He wanted to spend as much fuel as possible so that he could refuel again and get another pack!

Michael met with his usual officers back in the Nation of Reborn.
It’s been a few days since the whole fiasco had happened with the Tri-Star company, and things had finally settled down a bit.
Castelle stood at the end of the table, reporting to everyone about the current situation of their business.
"Our grand New Sparta Gas Station opening has done extremely well, as expected," she said with a smile. "Our automobile approval has gone up by more than 60% these past few days alone, completely reversing the negative sentiment done by our enemies, and then some."
It didn’t take long before the rumors and the fake bad reviews done by the Tri-Star company was proven baseless and false.
No, the engine wasn’t made out of the hearts of magical beasts. Anyone with a little bit of magic could easily scan the automobile for any anomalies and see that it used no magic nor Aubility Power to energize itself.
And with the Mobius Factory pumping a thousand units every single day, New Sparta was becoming more and more filled with automobiles. And people found comfort in large groups. The more people used automobiles, the more they felt comfortable using one themselves.
Basically, everyone forgot about the Tri-star campaign with the magical beasts.
As expected, they couldn’t keep up their massive expenses while having lost one of their major revenue sources.
The magical beasts they sold at a heavy discount were finally reverted back to their original price.
And with each of them ranging in the millions of Sand Dollars, no one bought them anymore. Especially if one had to consider the fact that the upkeep for those magical beasts could range up in the hundreds of thousands of Sand Dollars each month!
Of course, Tri-star didn’t advertise that part of owning magical beasts.
So, either the customer would have to end up spending more than they thought, or the magical beast would end up in a very bad situation where they weren’t properly taken care of.
In comparison, using an automobile was extremely cheap and efficient.
Each refuel would cost around 3 to 5 Sand Dollars. That could last about a week to a month, if one was being conservative with their use.
Not only that, but the Grand Booster cards campaign also did a lot to hype automobiles as a whole.
"We find many of our customers returning multiple times each day, simply refueling in order to get a booster pack to complete their set! At this point, the cards could become an entirely separate business all on their own!"
...
...
...
Meanwhile, back in the Tri-Star company, its leader and the rest of their officers were all hunched over their table, hands massaging their heads as they went over the analytics of their campaign.
The first day, they did great. Their sales went up by a whopping 20%! Sure, they spent a lot of money campaigning to get that number, but at least they were able to get a good start.
They sold their Magical Beasts left and right, roping up new customers from those who were still hesitant about the automobiles.
But after the second day, it dropped. -20%. Then the next, it dropped again to -26%. It continued to drop and drop as the days passed, before eventually, their overall revenue dropped to -87% overall.
And all of this happened because of something completely unexpected. The Reborn company was able to recover far faster than anyone would have thought.
Who in their right mind would think that the Reborn company had hundreds of demi-human non-combat Maugnetics in their midst that could create Living Structures on demand?!
The Tri-star Beastly Emporium had to admit. They lost this fight. If they continued to contend with the Reborn company, they’d just be throwing money into the void. It seemed that the rise of automobiles was all but inevitable.
The best they could do was to lay low and survive and hope that a terrible accident would befall the Reborn company.
With how much they’re disturbing the natural path of the market, they were bound to anger another company.
So, they would have to survive until that possibility would inevitably happen.
They could do it. They might drop a few spots in the Upper Echelon rankings, but as long as they could keep their Magical Beast business, they would still survive. Only now, they’d be specializing in something niche, instead of mass market, as what the magical beasts had become as of late.
"We still have a place in the market. Just because there’s automobiles now doesn’t mean that Magical Beasts have become obsolete. We still have collectors and passionate owners who wish to keep their own beasts simply for the fact that they are rare in and of itself," their patriarch said.
So, they decided to pivot their business strategy in that direction. They would no longer pander to the general public, but towards the small market of elite and rare collectors.
"Umm... sir," said one of the officers at the table. "We might have a problem with that."
The man laid out a few cards on the table, each one showing a sketch of powerful, sleek automobiles.
"... what is this?"
His officers looked at each other, before one of them finally had the courage to tell him the truth.
A few minutes later, the Tri-star patriarch slammed his fists into the table, cracking it in half, sending splinters flying all over the room.
"Why in the hell do people want to collect these stupid cards?!"
