Reborn as Mr.CEO's Fat Wife-Chapter 355 - : Call Me Uncle Again
Chapter 355: Chapter 355: Call Me Uncle Again
Piers’ Mansion.
Abigail put down the tablet and couldn’t help but give Rose Taylor a thumbs up.
This woman truly embodied the saying, “A soft heart stands no firm ground.”
She suddenly became curious about the kind of family the Taylors came from. For the sake of wealth and status, they left no stone unturned.
With a mother like that, it was no wonder Ruby Green did all those crazy things.
This mother and daughter pair were filled with terrifying ambition and a blatant disregard for the law and human life.
“Hmm?” Brandon Piers noticed she hadn’t spoken after watching and thought she was feeling sympathetic towards Lincoln Green.
“She must have transferred all of Lincoln Green’s assets to herself and Ruby Green. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have the motive to kill him.”
This man was of no use to her anymore.
“So remember, never provoke a wicked woman.” Brandon Piers raised his eyebrows at Abigail.
Abigail was speechless. “Can your men check Rose Taylor’s past?”
“Of course, what’s the fee?” His mellow voice carried a hint of amusement, treating the fee as a joke.
Hearing this, Abigail thought of something, rummaged through a box of gifts, took out a diamond from Adam Piers, and stuffed it into Brandon Piers’ hand. “Weren’t you going to use this to make my wedding ring? You can keep the rest for your revenge.”
“Ha.” Brandon Piers held the pink diamond and chuckled softly, suddenly a thought struck him. “So, are you indirectly urging me to marry you?”
“You’re overthinking it. I’m still young; there’s no rush.” Abigail was getting used to her youthful body.
“Ha.” It was the first time he heard her refer to herself as “young.” After he finished laughing, he teased, “You aren’t that young. Next year, after your 19th birthday, you can get a marriage certificate.”
Abigail was stunned, then retorted, “So, you’re the one who can’t wait to get married, right? After all, you’re six years older than me. If we’re being strict, I could call you uncle.”
“Cough, cough, cough…” Brandon Piers almost choked on his own saliva, looking at her in disbelief. “Say that again?”
Abigail was just retaliating and didn’t expect him to act so seriously. “What?”
“Nothing. Call me uncle once more.” Brandon Piers leaned forward, looking at her and said in a low voice, as if coaxing a naive little girl.
Abigail never expected him to react this way. Surprised, she took a step back only to lose her balance on the lightweight bamboo chair, falling backward with a low scream, thinking she was done for.
But instead of pain, she heard a muffled grunt.
Abigail turned her head to see Brandon Piers half caught underneath her, and anxiously asked, “Are you okay?”
“If you don’t get up soon, I might not be.” Brandon Piers said in a muffled voice.
“Oh.” Abigail finally reacted, hurriedly getting up and turned to help him up. “How is it?”
“The wound might have reopened.” Listening carefully, his voice carried a bit of frustration.
He suddenly remembered his earlier words and realized how close he came to making them true.
“Let me see.” Abigail panicked. His wound had nearly healed; reopening it wouldn’t be good.
“Okay.” Brandon Piers responded in a dull tone.
Abigail skillfully unbuttoned his shirt, checking the wound on his chest.
Seeing her full of concern, Brandon Piers couldn’t help feeling good, his earlier irritation dissipating. “How is it?”
“Fortunately, it hasn’t reopened. But you should be more careful next time. I can fall without any problem.” Abigail said quietly but seriously.
The next moment, her nose was pinched, making her grunt uncomfortably. “What are you doing?”
“You can fall without a problem? What kind of bullshit is that? My fiancée falling without any problem? Then who else can fall without any problem?”
Abigail was dumbfounded, then softly jabbed his chest with her finger. “Are you possessed by some CEO stereotype?”
Brandon Piers felt a tingling sensation throughout his body from her touch, and when he heard her words, he thought, “Fuck, can I hit my fiancée? Just the iron-type one!”
“The wound is healing well, and the bone has almost recovered. You need to take care of your body; after all, I saved you.” Abigail said, her palm against his skin, feeling the recovery of his heart and bones.
The man, who was thinking about hitting his wife a moment ago, blushed slightly and awkwardly asked, “Since the recovery is almost complete, can I start working out?”
He could be pinned down by his fiancée now, but he didn’t want to be pinned down by his wife in the future.
So he wanted to lose the “sickly beauty” label.
“You can, but don’t overdo it.” Abigail cautioned.
Brandon Piers nodded. “I know my limits. After all, this life of mine, which you saved, needs to be cherished.”
Abigail blushed from his mischievous smile. “Since you’re okay, I’ll go check on Teddy.”
Brandon Piers raised an eyebrow. “When are you planning to go to the hospital?”
“Maybe in a few days when Lincoln Green gets better. There are some things I want to discuss with him. I’m afraid if I go now, he won’t be able to take it, and Rose Taylor won’t even need to poison him.” When she mentioned Lincoln Green, the tenderness on Abigail’s face vanished, replaced by coldness.
“Alright.” Brandon Piers didn’t know what she wanted to discuss with Lincoln Green, but since she mentioned it, she must have her reasons.
Abigail nodded, intending to go to the yard to check on Teddy, but then heard him ask, “Did you like the gift? The return gift you gave me, the little fox.”
“Huh?” Abigail turned to look at Brandon Piers, realizing that the little prince was from him.
Surprised but also somehow expected.
“Didn’t you like it?” Seeing her reaction, Brandon Piers glanced at the little prince prominently placed on her bedside table, feeling a bit disappointed.
Abigail shook her head. “I liked it, it’s very cute.”
She was being honest. She never knew she would like such plush toys. She still missed the fox from last time, but she hadn’t seen it since, nor did she know where he hid it. She’d never found it in the old mansion.
“As long as you like it.” He said, his voice full of joy.
Looking at the smile on his face, despite seeing it often, she always found it breathtaking each time, making her pause.
“You’re blushing, fatty.” As Abigail was lost in his charm, Brandon Piers suddenly pointed a beautiful finger at her cheek, his amber eyes filled with a deeper smile and mischief.
Feeling the warmth of his touch, her body tingled as if electrified. Snapping back to reality, she realized what he said, “Who’s blushing?”

“You are.”
“I’m just feeling hot!” She fanned herself dramatically.
“Oh, did I say otherwise? Ha, silly!”
“You, immature!” She shot back, rushing out to check on Teddy.
Staying any longer, she felt she might just pass out.
Left behind, Brandon Piers touched his nose, feeling as if he was possessed by a teenage boy. What was happening to him?
