Chapter 115: Mother! Are You Involved?

Faris boldly walked forward, his hardened face lit by the low light in the passageway.

"You have some nerve saying that after the stunt all of you pulled on my brother and my sister-in-law," Faris raged, stepping between Ames holding Kela and the Elders. He faced the Elders and his mother; who seemed stumped.

"What’s going on Faris?" She asked, bewildered. Her eyes skidded to Kela, who was acting all scared.

Haylia knew Siroos would never claim her; he was very firm on his beliefs, and he had made it abundantly clear to everyone that he would not bed another woman. Someone seemed to have played him.

But Ghala cut short their conversation and countered while taking a step further.

"Step aside, boy, and don’t speak about matters you don’t understand. Kela might now be carrying Alpha’s seed; she is the one who is going to give him an heir as he has claimed her."

A threatening growl resonated in Faris’s chest, and he let his wolf surface. His eyes glowed intense red. freewebnσvel.cѳm

"Stay where you are, Elder Ghala or I will forget you are an Elder. My brother has been incapacitated after whatever you people did to him. But I will be damned if I hand this woman over to you. As his brother, I am the commanding Alpha in his absence. Back off— I will show what this boy can do."

Faris’s rage flashed through his eyes; being Alpha born, his voice was like an Alpha command, the kind he had never used before, but they had pushed him too far.

His chest heaved, and the covered muscles flexed under the amber light.

Everyone backed down, hearing his command with their heads lowered. Kela’s knees buckled, making her drop on the floor.

"It’s better to return, let me speak to my sons," Haylia requested, turning to the scared but displeased Elders.

"And stay the fuck away from my brother and my sister-in-law. If I see any of you loitering near them, I will end you. Don’t mistake me for Siroos who bears your cunningness and the absurd rules you set up to control him..."

Faris raged on but was interrupted by Haylia.

"Faris, that’s enough. Let’s calm down and talk."

Haylia dismissed the Elders; they scurried off, throwing dirty looks at Faris. They had never expected the boy to grow horns; he seemed so non-serious at all times.

"Lock her up and stay with her, until I sort this mess out. I don’t want anyone near her, sever her head if she tries to escape." Faris passed a strict string of instructions while throwing a loathsome glance Kela’s way.

She scrambled away from his domineering aura. Ames nodded and roughly grabbed her by the arm.

How Faris wished to squeeze the life out of her but knew this was his brother’s decision. Haylia pulled him away, dragging him towards Siroos’s chamber. Her motherly instincts were giving her terrible vibes as she neared her son’s chamber.

"Tell me everything that has happened?" She asked, concerned and Faris revealed what he had seen.

"His wolf was feral, unable to recognise between his true mate and fake. He pushed SIL so roughly that if I hadn’t arrived on time, he would have seriously hurt her. Both of us know what consequences that would bring, still it will bring."

Haylia was horrified, a feral wolf meant a potion was involved, a Mage’s potion. And they weren’t easy to obtain; only someone with influence could have gotten it, someone who held a grudge, and only one name flashed in her mind.

Walan.

This was not even about Siroos having an heir anymore. They couldn’t see her son happy with his mate because he had tried to put them in their place. She knew this would happen, she had even warned Siroos.

"Is Cassandra alright?" Haylia asked.

"How can she be? She just witnessed her mate fucking another woman. Tell me you are not involved with this mother." Faris cut in front of his mother and blocked her way, giving her a seething glare.

She had lost trust in the eyes of her sons and the thought killed her. Her hand went to her chest, she felt scandalised.

"I would never let anyone drug my sons. I know my recent actions have led you to believe that I might go behind Siroos’s back for the heir matter. But I stopped pursuing that the last time drama happened with Kela and Walan. I have accepted that he wants to remain heirless."

Faris threw up his hands in agitation.

"Tell that to brother when he wakes up because I am sure he is going to be a hell lot of pissed."

They began to walk again, reaching the chamber. Faris threw open Siroos’s door where Ranon was still sitting alongside his Alpha.

Seeing Haylia and Faris enter, he stood up. Haylia threw a look at her son and a shiver went through her, seeing him lying so lifeless. She wondered how much damage they had done to him. She knew how his temper was going to escalate once he would wake up.

"How is he?" Haylia asked, stepping closer to her son and placing her head on his forehead. It was cold. She settled down by his side and began gently rubbing her hand over his forehead.

"He stirred a few times, I think he is going to wake up soon, hopefully his wolf will be more reasonable and won’t try to kill us," Ranon answered, huffing out a sigh.

"Did they confess?" Ranon asked a very pissed-looking Faris. It was strange seeing him so serious, the man was never without a grin.

"Confess? They pinned everything on him, saying he announced to them that he was going to mate with Kela. As if his senses took a walk suddenly." Faris made a bleh face, "They don’t even know what they have done, brother is going to burn them because they have made him hurt his mate."

Faris had hardly finished speaking when Siroos began to stir and soon his eyes opened, this time they were crimson, the dragon had surfaced and he was enraged.
