Reborn as a Mechanist with a God-Tier System-Chapter 270: To-do List

Apart from the enhancements to his previous Class abilities and his stats, Leon already took his time to experiment with and understand his new D Rank Class Specialization abilities.

Of the 3 new abilities that he unlocked as a D Rank Warmachine Specialist, he didn’t have the chance to test out Blueprint Conversion yet simply because he was yet to fight since becoming a D Rank Mechanist.

As for Command Link Network, after constructing 5 mechanical soldiers with the new Doom Rover v0.2 blueprint, he tried the ability out.

Using it was unlike using Drone Control Matrix.

Whereas Drone Control Matrix gave Leon a feeling like he suddenly developed 5 new pair of eyes, giving him secondary vision, with Command Link Network, he felt like he developed new pair of limbs.

With the ability, controlling his mechanical soldiers didn’t feel like controlling external weapons at all, rather it felt like he was controlling his own limbs.

Even with just 5 Doom Rovers, Leon felt a bit overwhelmed by the sensory inputs of all 5 mechanical soldiers the first time.

His conclusion was that controlling mechanical soldiers required training and experience, just like a baby learned to crawl, then walk, and then run. He would have to take it one step at a time.

This ability reminded him of the training that he had with the 3 temporal phantoms after he completed his first Ascended Trial.

His eyes gleamed. ’With the right training to master this mode of combat and with my Mech Suit, fighting against me will be like fighting against 21 D Rank Mechanists instead of just 1!’

Only after testing the ability out did Leon realize that in hindsight, with just Command Link Network alone, his combat power as an Ascended ballooned by more than 20 times!

He couldn’t test the true limit of the ability yet because he was yet to construct the 20 Doom Rovers needed to hit the control limit of the ability.

This was not because of his lacking construction ability, this was because he was juggling multiple projects at the same time with most of his effort being channeled to the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV for the past 2 weeks.

Becoming a D Rank Mechanist didn’t reduce his construction workload at all even with the System’s automated Construction.

Instead, he felt overwhelmed by the load of construction work in his plate.

Since making contact with Lieutenant Johnmark and making the airdrop agreement, he was not just working on his personal constructs.

Afterall, he was now in deep debt with Leviathan Quay due to the sheer amount of resources that he needed for the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV. Because of this, he already signed a lot of construction work contracts with Leviathan Quay.

He had an entire catalogue of construction work to complete for Leviathan Quay, and he delegated most of this work to the ChronoSystem’s automated construction system.

Just like Command Link Network, Leon already tried his 3rd ability as a D Rank Warmachine Specialist out- Warforge.

At first, when he choose the Class Specialization, he fell into a dilemma wondering if he had to construct the rapid-assembly factory drone himself the same way that Cannon Masters had to construct their Siege Core.

But after awakening, he realized that the Warmachine ability was even crazier than he expected it to be.

Once activated, Warforge stimulates his grayish white ADE to rapidly assemble the factory drone out of mid-air within a few seconds.

It manifested just like the Data Manifestation ability of C Rank NetRunners.

Having tested it already, Leon confirmed that each use of the ability would sustain the factory drone for an hour.

But unfortunately, despite how much his innate construction talent improved since becoming a D Rank Mechanist, he still needed approximately 3 hours to complete a Doom Rover v0.1 and approximately 5 hours to complete a Doom Rover v0.2.

But this was without the System’s help.

With the System’s active help with Construction Protocol, Leon already confirmed that he could finish constructing a complete Doom Rover v0.1 in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, and a Doom Rover v0.2 in 2 hours, 20 minutes.

This still meant that he would not be able to spam-construct mechanical soldiers in real-time like he fantasized about during battles.

But Leon felt that unlike at F Rank and at E Rank, his construction talent as a D Rank Warmachine Specialist was not capped.

The moment he woke up after the Trial, he had a hunch that the more his Ascended Counter filled up, the more his innate construction talent would increase and he confirmed this after he gained 70+ Ascended Essence.

Based on his feeling and his calculations, Leon speculated that by the time his Ascended Counter reached the maximum 4000, his innate construction talent would have increased enough to enable him to finish constructing a complete Doom Rover v0.2 in an hour and a Doom Rover v0.1 in just 40 minutes.

Again, this confirmed that despite how much the Class had broadened and expanded, the core of the Mechanist Class remained Construction.

Construction was their superpower.

Sitting down on the chair in front of his desk, Leon’s black eyes gleamed as he thought of his future plans.

He had a habit of planning his actions and again, he already drafted a plan.

[1. Complete the modification to the first Bulwark MK.II Titan Frame by August 16th!]

[2. Construct a Butler Robot.]

[3. I have a hunch that she’ll be coming personally tomorrow. Afterall, I’ve been ignoring her calls, so to avoid her, send Butler v0.1 to go collect the airdrop tomorrow morning instead of going personally.]

[4. F*ck, I’m really deep in debt now, so I have to make sure the ChronoSystem continues working on the orders from Leviathan Quay to be offsetting my debt one construct at a time.]

[5. After that, from tomorrow, with the airdrop tomorrow, lock in and fully focus on constructing the first Sentry-IV Autocannon Drone. This will likely take 5 days or more (sigh).]

[6. After that, be shameless and go deeper in debt, beg for more airdrops to meet the limit of at least 20 Doom Rover v0.2s.]

[7. After this, I can finally embark on my journey to Iron Reef. I need to meet Ren Nora. (I wonder if I’ll get opportunities to farm Ascended Essence to fill my Ascended Counter there).]

Thinking of the workload that he had, Leon knew he couldn’t procrastinate.

He sighed. ’This is worse than a f*cking 9 to 5 job!’

And thinking of how deep he currently was in debt with Leviathan Quay, he could not help it as he grimaced.
