Alma couldn't remember a single thing about her "teenager" self, nor that she was in any kind of Academy either, while Nyx explained her these things, it felt to her as if she was being talked about someone else entirely, or that Nyx was lying and making up a weird story.
"I don't remember joining any Academy… The only thing I remember was running away from home, and then grandma finding me…" muttered Alma. "I'm not even strong, nor I have any power either! I'm always bullied at school… and I'm ugly and fat…"
"Aw, come on, you're not ugly!" Francis said with a wink. "You're cute! I've never seen anybody with natural pink colored hair before, I thought it wasn't even a thing… Wow!"
"E-Eh? Uh, ah…" Alma was surprised that Francis found her cute, and even toucher her long, silky, and puffy hair.
"You're so fluffy, like a sheep!" Francis giggled, patting her head a whole lot.
"S-Stop patting my head, I am not a sheep…" Alma blushed a bit.
"A-Ah! Sorry…" Francis muttered. "I got carried away…"
"I-It's fine I guess…" Alma muttered. "Um, Nyx, you know where we are right?"
"Yeah this is the Nightmare Realm as I said… So far I've only found you from my party. There's… Sofia, Martina, Emily, and mom- I mean, my big sister left… I wonder if they're going to be kids too? That would be a bit troublesome…" muttered Nyx. "What do you think, Fran? Wait, were you also an adult before?"
"I don't remember… I don't think so? I remember being myself!" Francis said while pouting. "If I were a grown up I would do whatever I wanted, so I would be happier… Can't wait until I finally grow up… I hate being a kid."
"You do? But why?" Asked Nyx.
"Because… I get bullied all the time too… And I hate that they mock me… and I am always poor and can't buy anything I want!" Fran complained. "So I want to grow up quickly and get a job, so I can finally do whatever I want!"
"A-Ah… Fran…" Nyx sighed. "I mean, childhood's not too bad! There's… there's nice things sometimes, right?"
"When? It's all just… bad thing after bad thing…" Alma agreed with Fran. "I hate being a kid too… I wish I was that Alma you talked about; she sounded so cool… but every time I see myself I can't even think about becoming someone cool… I'm lame and ugly…"
Nyx sighed, patting the girl's heads and taking out some food and drinks from her Little Shadow Realm.
"Come on, don't be like that! I'm sure there are people that love you and want you to enjoy your childhood! It's just that… Um," Nyx glanced at the snowmen for a moment. "Due to each person's circumstances, things can be a bit harder… it's sad I know but… it doesn't mean that you should hate your childhood. Here, are you two hungry?"
"I am…" Alma muttered, grabbing the tea bottle. "T-Thanks… I know you're trying, Nyx… I appreciate it… Ah, chocolate…?"
"Sorry, you don't like it?" Nyx wondered.
"I… Uh…" Alma cried a bit. "It makes me remember my grandma…"
"A-Aaah! I'll replace it! D-Do you want a cereal bar instead?" Nyx quickly took one.
"Thanks," Alma exchanged it. "I don't want to eat sugars… I don't want to be fat anymore… so I'll try eating healthy again but…"
"But?" Fran wondered.
"It's hard… I always eat because I feel lonely and sad, when I eat a lot of sweets, it makes me kind of happy," Alma sighed, drinking the tea.
"Oh…" Fran nodded. "Wait, what about your parents? Or is it just your grandma?"
"My parents?" Alma asked, looking very sad. "They're gone…"
"O-Oh… I shouldn't had asked that… sorry," Francis sighed, apologizing again.
"It's fine…" Alma shrugged. "You two sure love apologizing… kids with your manners back in the countryside would be rare… everyone's such a rude… such a rude prick over there…"
"Hmm, I can tell, you really hate that place…" Nyx nodded. "Well, let's talk about nice things! Once we get out of here, you'll return to your cool teenager self, so don't worry Alma. And you'll recover your memories too, and powers!"
"Really?! I will become cool?" Alma asked.
"Yeah!" nodded Nyx. "I mean… you're cool already, on your own!"
"Nah I'm not…" Alma ate the cereal bar, feeling better. "Phew… thanks for the food Nyx… W-Where do we even go now? How big is the forest?"
"It's not that big," said Francis. "I think I saw some other place in the distance, some kind of city."
"City? Really?" Alma wondered. "M-Maybe we could find my grandma there!"
"I don't know… the city is not the same as the cities from outside," said Nyx. "But we should go check it, I can feel something faintly there, maybe another person."
"Okay!" Alma nodded, looking a bit more pumped up. "So how do we… do we just walk there?"
"We'll go on top of the Snowdragon!" Francis smiled at the giant snow dragon in front of them.
"Woah! No way! There's a dragon made of snow too?!" Alma was excited. "So cool!"
"Raarr…" The Snowdragon acted gentle to all the girls.
"She's Nyx's mom!" Francis smiled.
"R-Really?" wondered Alma. "Your mom's a dragon?"
"I'm a dragon!" Nyx said. "Ah wait… maybe I shouldn't had said that… Um, it's complicated how the snowmen came to be but… they're our helpers."
"Dad came back as a snowman like the fairy tale!" Francis said. "Right dad?"
The Snowman nodded, patting her head.
"It's your dad?! Wow, this is like Alice in Wonderland, we're in some kind of magical world?" Alma wondered. "So anything we wish can become true?"
"Maybe… I am not too sure," sighed Nyx. "But for now, let's hurry! Here, I'll bring you two over there."
Nyx gently carried both girls on top of the Snowdragon, and then used her Shadows to wrap them around tightly so they wouldn't fall.
The snow was cold though, so she also made some seats by materializing her shadows, making the travel a bit comfier.
While the snowman glanced across the skies behind them watching out for potential dangers, the girls glanced into the front, noticing the big, ruined city in front of them.
