Chapter 1623: Chapter 1625: Too Arrogant
"Yo, where’d this little firecracker come from? Got quite the guts, huh? Planning to smash my tape recorder?"
A young man with very long hair walked out from inside the house.
He had a scruffy little moustache and lecherous glint in his small eyes, making him look downright sleazy.
Although he didn’t bear much resemblance to Kuang Yunxian, Chiang Xiao immediately recognized him. This was definitely Kuang Huizhi’s son.
Because his features shared a few similarities with Kuang Huizhi.
If it weren’t for him being here, this group of unruly young men and women wouldn’t be gathered around causing trouble.
He had just spoken when he finally got a good look at Chiang Xiao’s appearance. A flicker of light sparked in his small eyes.
"You’re disturbing the peace," Chiang Xiao said coldly.
She cursed inwardly at her bad luck.
Turns out she still had to deal with this guy after all.
What on earth was Kuang Yunxian doing? So much time had passed and he still hadn’t regained the house. His efficiency was ridiculously low.
"Oh? Did we bother you? My bad, my bad. I’ll turn the music off right now." Wang Guoming suddenly changed his tone, raising his hand to smack the back of another young man nearby. "What are you, dead? Didn’t you hear the young lady say the volume was too high? How dare you disturb her! What am I even keeping you guys around for? Did I tell you to cause this much racket?"
The young man was dazed from the smack but upon registering, scrambled to turn off the tape recorder.
Once it was off, it felt as if the entire world had fallen silent.
"Alright, alright. Look at what you’ve done to my place! Clean it up, now!" Wang Guoming kicked one and shoved another, barking orders to get everyone moving.
The group exchanged knowing glances, snickering quietly.
"Looks like Young Master Ming’s got his eye on her. Alright then! Let’s tidy up to impress the future sister-in-law!" someone teased with a shameless grin.
The comment made the crowd burst into laughter.
Another person even helped up the two young men Chiang Xiao had beaten. "Taking a hit from our future sister-in-law? Don’t worry, Young Master Ming will make it up to you. Stop whining already. They say a hit means affection, and a scold means love. Future sister-in-law’s just showing she cares about you guys!"
These remarks accompanied by their laughter made Chiang Xiao feel nauseated. Her face instantly darkened.
"I suggest you all watch your mouths. If you keep spewing nonsense, don’t blame me for using my fists again," she snapped.
Even her anger, in Wang Guoming’s eyes, was dazzlingly striking.
He scolded the group, then addressed Chiang Xiao, "Don’t mind them. They’re just so used to joking around that they don’t mean any harm. My name’s Wang Guoming. And you? Let’s get acquainted. We’re going to be neighbors from now on."
As he spoke, Wang Guoming extended his hand toward Chiang Xiao.
Chiang Xiao eyed him, then suddenly threw a straight punch that slammed right into his face. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
Wang Guoming let out a cry of pain as he stumbled back, knocking over the table holding the tape recorder and a bunch of sodas and beers. The items crashed to the ground, leaving the place in complete disarray.
Chiang Xiao stared coldly at Wang Guoming, who was struggling to get back up. "I dare you to keep joking around. Let’s see who has the guts to say one more word."
"Young Master Ming! Are you okay?!"
"Damn it, this chick’s way too cocky! Guess we’ll have to teach her a lesson! You little brat, acting all tough for no reason!"
A few of the young men spat on the ground and began closing in on Chiang Xiao. One of them even grabbed a folding chair, swinging it viciously towards her back.
"Watch out!" the uncle at the doorway shouted in alarm.
