Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 712 Division of Labor and Cooperation
"You’re not wearing your socks properly again." Charles Seymour sighed helplessly, then squatted down, placed her foot on his knee, and quickly fixed her socks, ensuring her ankles weren’t exposed.
Then, he fixed the sock on her other foot as well, and very patiently tidied up the cuffs of her loungewear.
His attentive actions, gentle and caring, made Sophie Wilson’s heart soften. She couldn’t help but reach out and touch the fluffy hair on his head.
Charles looked up in confusion, his innocent gaze resembled a large dog being petted by its owner, fully trusting. This look made Sophie Wilson’s heart melt completely.
How could he be so unfair?
Sophie Wilson cleared her throat and pulled Charles Seymour up, "I know, I’ll be good at home and wait for you to come back. Hurry up and go, it’s almost noon."
"Okay." Charles Seymour checked his watch, realizing he had no choice but to leave. Then he lightly kissed the corner of Sophie Wilson’s lips and softly whispered, "I’ll be back tonight."
"Alright." Sophie Wilson chuckled as she sent him off, but someone firmly pushed her back inside, "It’s cold outside."
After saying this, he decisively closed the door, leaving Sophie Wilson inside the warm house.
Sophie Wilson quickly ran to the window, waving cheerfully through the glass adorned with festive window decorations, smiling at him.
Her lively demeanor brought a smile to Charles Seymour’s lips, which lingered even as he sat in the car.
Charles Seymour, carrying gifts, entered the old Seymour Family residence, where almost everyone had already gathered, except Julian Campbell, who hadn’t arrived due to other engagements.
Old Mr. Seymour, upon seeing Charles Seymour, peeked behind him with a bit of disappointment in his eyes.
Charles Seymour’s mood, which he had just adjusted, fell again, and he said in a low voice, "Next year." 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Old Mr. Seymour understood with those two simple words, smiled, and patted his shoulder, "Work hard, I’m waiting."
Charles Seymour nodded heavily, definitely!
Next year, he’ll bring Sophie into the family!
Compared to the bustling Seymour Family gathering, Sophie Wilson and her parents cooked and ate with the housekeeper, Uncle Warren, and the driver.
Sophie Wilson realized that Uncle Warren, the driver, and the maid didn’t have families, so they could join them in making the New Year’s Eve dinner.
At noon, everyone ate a bit and took a small nap, then busied themselves with making the New Year’s Eve feast.
"Indeed, Charles said my cooking is particularly delicious." Sophie Wilson said with a smile as she added soy sauce to the meat, "Meat should be marinated first to add flavor. Last time, I made a stew, and he ate it all. I didn’t get a single bite. Tonight, I’ll showcase my skills and let you all taste it."
"Sophie, your mom hasn’t cooked for you in years, let me do it." Clarissa Taylor quickly snatched the plate of meat from Sophie Wilson’s hands, along with the soy sauce bottle.
"But my cooking is really delicious." Sophie Wilson looked at Clarissa Taylor with a bit of grievance; she wanted to cook for her parents too.
"How about you make a cake, bake some cookies?" Clarissa Taylor suggested with a smile. "Mom doesn’t know how to make those things, only Chinese dishes. You see, I’ll handle the New Year’s Eve dinner, and you take care of the desserts. How about we divide the work?"
