"HSSSSS!"

Baltzer hissed in warning, drawing Lucian’s attention away from the structure. The remaining titans had formed a semicircle around them, cutting off retreat. But strangely, they weren’t attacking. They stood motionless, eyes fixed on the stone hall.

"They’re waiting for something," Lucian muttered, his grip tightening on Dragon Soul Devourer.

As if in response to his words, the massive stone doors began to move. No visible mechanism drove them, no hands pushed them open. They simply... shifted, stone grinding against stone with a sound like mountains collapsing.

The gap between the doors widened slowly, revealing absolute darkness within. Then, a tremor ran through the ground, followed by another, and another rhythmic, deliberate. Footsteps.

From the darkness emerged titans unlike any Lucian had seen before.

These were not the mindless creatures Lucian had battled with previously. They seemed to follow orders and were coordinated!

They filed out of the hall in two perfect lines, taking positions on the two sides of the entrance.

Twelve in total, each standing perfectly still, arms at their sides, eyes forward like a well trained human soldier!

The intense earthquake continued, growing stronger and even more stronger. The darkness within the hall suddenly surged, and a massive form began to emerge from the intense darkness.

The Attack Titan stepped into the ray of light, and Lucian’s expression froze as his heart turned cold.

The Attack Titan stated in the system notification didn’t seem like much as he didn’t see a single thing related to King Titan or Overlord Titan or anything that seem to say it was a ruler over the titans.

But now that he was seeing it, Lucian was shocked.

It towered over the other titans, easily twenty-five meters tall. Its body was perfectly proportioned, incredibly muscular like that of a roman god statue as it stood there.

There was not a single bit of lose fat or abnormal body or mutation like that of the other skins.

Where other titans had skin that seemed stretched too tight or hung like loose folds of clothing, the Attack Titan’s flesh was smooth, as the flesh appeared armored in its skin.

But it was the eyes that truly set it apart. They weren’t the vacant, hungry orbs of the mindless pupils. Those eyes blazed with intelligence, awareness, and hatred that even seem to surpass that of the Lizardmen King!

The Attack Titan glanced across the battlefield with contempt then it saw the Blood Shadow and revealed a bit of confusion before its gaze eventually locked in on Lucian.

For a moment, neither moved, two predators sizing each other up across the blood-soaked ground.

Then, the titan’s lips parted in what could only be described as an utterly disdainful and dismissive smile.

Lucian’s expression turned cold as he pointed his spear at the Attack Titan. He spoke with a soft voice.

"Kill."

"BOOM!"

The ground trembled incredibly as his blood shadows surged forward like rolling mountains.

The Attack Titan massive eyes seemed dismissive as he raised one massive hand, and his elite guardians moved with perfect coordination.

They met Lucian’s Blood Shadows head-on in a thunderous collision that shook the entire space.

Baltzer’s hammer swung with bone-crushing force, but the Elite Titan simply grabbed at the hammer with unexpected swiftness.

"BANG!"

Before Baltzer could recover, the Elite Titan delivered a punishing uppercut that sent the Blood Shadow staggering backward.

"What?" Lucian’s eyes narrowed. He was well aware they were different, but to be able to be on equal footing with Baltzer was another matter.

His behemoth Blood Shadow charged forwards like a maniac towards an Elite Titan, shoulder lowered as it slammed towards the Elite Titan like a moving train.

However, at that point of impact, the Elite Titan braced itself, its feet dug heavily into the stone floor like a clamp.

"BANG!!!"

Shockwaves blasted in all directions as fine dust rose upwards like miasmic fog.

When they collided, the sound was like thunder, but neither Titan had the upper hand!!!

The remaining Elite Titans engaged Lucian’s other Blood Shadows, matching them blow for blow. Steam and blood filled the air as titans tore at each other, neither side gaining a clear advantage.

Through his connection with the Blood Shadows, Lucian could sense his blood shadow were actually struggling to defeat those elite titans. They’re were smarter and seem to attack weak points rather than brute force!

The Attack Titan simply watched, on its face was a shadow of a smile as it watched the fight below.

Lucian’s mind raced. His Blood Shadows couldn’t win through brute force alone. His eyes flashed as he thought about numerous things. Suddenly, he spoke.

"Baltzer!" he called out. "Now!"

The Blood Shadow responded immediately, as though it could read its master’s mind. It’s fighting technique changed in that second.

Baltzer released an all out attack with its hammer.

"Whoosh!"

The Elite Titan immediately punched outwards with its massive fist to counter the fist.

Baltzer Suddenly dropped its hammer and tackled his opponent instead. They tumbled to the ground, as Baltzer used its arms and leg to lock its opponent along with him.

"Explode!" Lucian said without any remorse nor regret.

Baltzer’s body began to glow red, growing hotter and brighter with each passing millisecond.

The Elite Titan sensed the danger and tried to break free, but Baltzer’s arms and legs were like a massive clamp as they held on tight with their entire strength.

"BOOM!!!"

Baltzer’s body exploded like a missile, ripping apart both itself and the Elite Titan to uncountable pieces!

The explosion rocked the entire hall as the two Titans turned into pure puddle of blood, flesh and fine bones.

The Attack Titan’s expression changed slightly for a moment. It hadn’t expected this.

Lucian didn’t pause to celebrate, he immediately sent a command to the rest of its blood shadow.

Three Blood Shadows suddenly broke from their individual battles and converged on a single Elite Titan.

The Titan tried to defend itself, but the coordinated assault overwhelmed it. One Blood Shadow grabbed its arms, another its legs, while the third tore into its neck with its mouth and claws like a ripper!

The Elite Titan thrashed violently trying to struggle and actually managed to break free of one arm and crushing the head of one Blood Shadow.

But the sacrifice bought enough time for the others to complete their task. The Elite Titan’s entire neck was ripped apart, and it collapsed in a cloud of steam.
