Re: Player-Chapter 68 [Strange Occurrence!]
Chapter 68 [Strange Occurrence!]
"So. What exactly are these trials, anyway?" I was a bit curious. The more I tried to understand it, the more I ended up getting confused.
At first, I thought it was an escape from the island kind of place where I had to defeat Gray or at least something related to him, but the more I tried, the more I realized that it was nothing close to that.
Then we came here, taking trials one by one, which seemed to be impossible no matter how it seemed. Let's take me out of the picture. Is there really anyone who is actually capable of clearing the trials? Someone who wields two opposite natures of energy freely. Has the mana potential of a mage and the strength of a Warrior? Somebody who excels in everything.
"Do you really want to know the answer?" the guy with the golden hair asked as he stood up. His eyes were blue. They looked like an ocean. Observing me with an intentful gaze, it made me step back as I looked at him carefully.
Since he didn't have his silver armor anymore, he was practically naked in front of me except his private area which was covered with golden magic from the start.
He smiled a little as he clicked his finger and a white robe appeared over his body, covering his him from top-to-bottom as he began speaking,
"This place was created out of hope. That someday a certain someone will come to this place. You know, Adam, we have been waiting for you for quite sometime now."
'Did… I tell him my name?' My eyes narrowed as he spoke.
"I wanted to play along, but since you are this close to the truth, it won't be a problem if I were to give you a little hint." novelbuddy.cσ๓
The atmosphere changed as he looked at me, with an apple appearing in his hand. The way it did reminded me of Alesia somehow… but something about him was more… different from Alepsia.
"You need to unlock the rest of the system as fast as you can. And also, try reaching the [Logout] function a bit faster," he spoke as he took a bite out of the apple and my heart skipped a beat.
"Who are… you?" I asked, as my eyes widened. Looking at that guy with the golden shining hair as he looked at me with those blue oceanic eyes of his.
"Let's meet again when you have collected all the authorities… " he said as the view changed again. My eyes couldn't even begin to register what had just happened as I looked at the surrounding area. Once again, I was back at the place where the 10 gates were.
Though something was different about this time. The 10 Trials gates…. Now there was only one present in front of me. And I stood there, with the images of that golden-haired guy, plastered in my mind, his words echoing in my ears.
"I need to unlock the system faster? And… Authorities?" I looked at the last gate in front of me. My mind was messed up, wondering what was going on.
"Just… what is… " I questioned as I stood up again and began walking towards the gate. Standing here won't get me any answers. One step at a time, I began walking towards the gate. This time there was no voice asking me to explain three rules. This time, the gate opened by itself without any words.
Walking into the gate, I once again i found myself in the black and white hall. The white marble floor and the black-colored walls. The strange area where I had been for over 100s of times, it seemed even more unfamiliar now.
And in the center of the hill there sat a… man?
'What?'
My eyes opened wide as I looked at the two people at the center of the hall..
One of them was an old, short man. He was a dwarf. The same dwarf whom Ii had been fighting in all my returns, in all my trials, he was the one who had been killing me over and over.
I had been killed by him so many times that his face was now practically implemented in my mind. Whether it was the broadsword of his that was enchanted at least 10s of times with different elements, or whether it was his sword skill itself, I was always amazed at how he handled everything so skillfully.
'Even when I fought him as an equal, I couldn't even hold a candle due to the difference in our skills,' I wondered as I looked at the same man, now standing with his sword down beside that girl.
He stood there respectfully as if one stands in front of their superior. His head down, as he looked at me from a distance with the same judging eyes as before.
"Who are you?" I asked as I looked at that girl, covered in a dark veil from top to bottom.
The only thing visible was her red lips and a bit of her snow white face below the noose. But honestly, that was enough to know that the person in front of me was a world class beauty. 'So much that even Alepsia would pale in comparison,' I was becoming more and more sure that she was the same as that golden-haired guy. She too knew about my system, and the reason behind m transmigration.
"Don't be so much on your guard now, Adam. Don't tell me you can't even guess who am I," she spoke with a clear voice that was far more melodious than anything that I have heard in my life.
"I will give you a hint. You have a blessing, right?" she smiled as she walked a step closer to me. I was confused at first, but then my eyes widened as I realized what she was talking about…
"Goddess of Night?" I spoke as I looked at the blessing I had

"Partially correct. To be accurate, I am the Primordial Goddess of Night. One of the Original 10 Primordials," she spoke as she unveiled herself, revealing her enchanting face to me.
