[Geralt’s POV!]

.

It’s been 3 days since the war was over. Both the Angels and the Demons have returned to their respective realms, since they couldn’t stay in the mortal realm for any longer.

They seemed really sad in their departure, some of them even cried and hugged each other before wishing each other good luck in their kingdom.

All those Angels and demons fighting together… and then celebrating with each other without any prejudice. It was really a sight to behold.

Forget about trying to search for a single angel, at this point there were hundreds of them here. Something that seemed more like a fairy tale, than reality. But then again, given the war and all, it wasn’t the only thing that was strange so nobody bothered to think much about it.

As for me, I didn’t have any time to even think after the war. The number of reports I had to send and the meetings that I had attended in the past three days, far surpassed the number that I had in the last few months.

Just like Sir Adam had said, things really were more hectic than when it was during the war. But then again, I could take this kind of work anytime against a situation like a war.

Sitting in my office room, against the study study table, I was currently receiving the reports regarding the Viscount. And even though there were some bad parts, overall it was good news. Perhaps I could even make some free time later on if things work in a positive direction…

"You have found the Viscount’s location! Huh?!! He sold himself as a slave to buy that potion?!! That fucker… ah… nothing. I was just talking to someone else. So, please. Just buy him and bring him back. About here? Well a few things have happened indeed. I will report them to the Saintess of Light appearing at the end of this week. Sure. Sure. Okay. May the blessing of the Light Goddess fall on you as well."

I concluded my talk on the communication device before turning to Aisha as she fed her brother with all sorts of sweets. There was an ever present smile on her face, making me smile as well.

My eyes then looked at the pile of letters on the table before I focused on a couple of them…

"Another pile?" I asked as she chuckled before nodding.

Ever since she danced in the war, controlling all those elements by herself, and then providing support to all the mortals in the city, she had been getting all sorts of letters from all sorts of places.

Many high nobles who saw her, wanted to meet her, probably trying to marry her. Another pile was from the mages association who wanted to ask her about how she could control that huge amount of mana.

Then there were some that asked her to appear in their schools, institutes as a chief guest. The list was never ending, and even those letters. But Aisha simply put them all to one side while focusing on the health of her brother.

For her, she didn’t have time to bother with these invitations as such. Her mind was already focused on her brother and the orphans that she wanted to save.

"You seem busy. Should we have not come?" She asked as she tended to her brother’s hair, while I shook my head before answering," no, it’s fine. I could use some company."

I waited to continue before continuing to write the reports that were to be sent to various parts of the kingdom. To the central city, to the capital city, to our neighbours and such. And even to the Water Kingdom since it was just beyond the shore and such.

But Aisha didn’t say anything as she kept tending to her brother’s hair.

A sudden silence followed as we both simply kept doing what we were doing. And as I started feeling a bit awkward wondering if I should speak something. But then, after a few more seconds, Aisha finally spoke out,

"I will be leaving the town next week."

I paused in my work as I took a look at her.

"Is that so?" I spoke as my sighed on the inside. Especially after what Sir Adam has informed me of, I already knew about it.

I moved towards one of the drawers before taking out a blue coloured bracelet. It was an amulet of protection that would activate if the user was in any form of danger. And then, moving towards to her, I continued speaking,

"Your journey is going to be hard. The Fire Kingdom is pretty ruthless."

"I know. Been there," she looked at me with a slight smile before she raised her hand towards me, while I tied that bracelet on her hand.

"Are you going to miss me?" She asked as she brought the hand towards her chest, near her heart. And looked at me with a rather kind gaze.

"Obviously. Why wouldn’t I?" I answered. She was there with me all the time, as we worked to save the city, and fought in the war to protect the citizens. At this point, I am so used to having her around, that it’s going to feel empty without her.

It makes me sad but-

I saw her moving closer to me and kissing me on the lips while my eyes widened in surprise. I felt her soft lips, losing focus for a few seconds before she stepped back, with a blush on her face. Please… don’t make this even more difficult for me…

"Thank you, Geralt. For everything," she spoke as she took a few steps back and then held her brother’s hand and began walking outside. Though before I could utter even a single word, a guard rushed towards the office, shifting our attention towards him.

Taking a few deep breaths, as he collected himself, he then spoke with slight tiredness.

"He… Sir Adam… he is back with Sir Neptune," he spoke, as our eyes widened in unison.

They… Our Saviours are finally back.
