Re: Player-Chapter 135: [Setting up for the Battle!]
"Ah! You guys don't have to worry. I am going to open the Inverse Realm myself soon. So hopefully we won't have to stand against each other… that should be fine, no?" I spoke with a bright smile.
"Huh?!" surprised, they looked at me. Their eyes widened in exclamation and shock.
Not just them, but Nvida and Trisha as well.
With a betrayed expression, Nvida spoke out," Wesker?!"
"Don't worry. The forest won't be harmed. I can assure you of that much," I answered her before adding," just that I need to meet someone there for a few minutes before coming back."
"…" Nvida turned silent as she looked at me with a complex expression.
"Wesker," Trisha seemed to speak about something as well, but I just smiled at her before continuing,
"And don't worry. I won't involve the book of arrays as well."
Her eyes widened as she looked at me, wondering if I knew what she wanted to do here as well.
Ignoring her, I then turned back to the Dark Mages, especially Yemir, who was lost in thought.
"You can talk to 'Him' about it. I promise there won't be any problem regarding your plan, but you need to delay it for about a couple of days," I told him, making him look at me with a deep look.
"Can you really… remove that array?" Yemir asked as he looked at me with a deep gaze. His eyes seemed to have gained some hope from it.
"I can," I answered as I looked at him. And then, to make it less suspicious, I added,
"But there is something that I need you to do within that dimension for me. I want another Array Master to take my place while I am not there. Think you can do that?"
When I spoke these words, everyone had a sudden relieved expression in their eyes. Including Trisha and Nvida.
They say that there are no free lunches in this world. I guess people in this world have that mindset as well.
'Knowing my motive and reason for taking in Yemir with me must have calmed them down. Else they would have been on an edge wondering what my purpose was and why do I need them anyway,' I pondered before throwing another 'purpose' in there.
"Nvida. Trisha. I would also like you both to take part in this." I looked back at the two girls and both of them looked at me with a rather serious look.
"I haven't decided if I am going to help you open that gate or not," Trisha made her point, and I understood it was going to be more difficult than I thought.
"Give me a few days and I will convince you, too. But for now, can you make a barrier within the forest? A strong one that would stop even the most ferocious monsters?" I asked as I looked at her, making her eyes narrowed at me.
"Just what… exactly are you trying to achieve here?" Trisha spoke out as she was failing to understand my purpose here.
Her eyes turned slightly green, as she asked," tell me. What are your intentions, Wesker?"
And after a slight pause, I smiled as I answered," I just want to save everyone."
It was a purely honest answer.
And her eyes kept gazing at me, while she stood there standing still. And not long after, she sighed as her eyes turned normal again. And she spoke,
"I will wait for you to convince me, then."
And then she walked away from there, with Nvida slowly walking behind her. Nvida kept looking back at me and then at Trisha, but Trisha didn't spare a second glance at me.
"We would take our leave as well. I would like to discuss this with our leader first. Hopefully, we can reach a proper conclusion," Yemir too decided on this before he walked away from there.
I nodded at him before looking at the other mages following behind him. They didn't seem too happy about it, but because everything was in Yemir's hand, they didn't argue as much.
'With this part done, I got another 2 days of prep time,' I smiled a little as I then began walking towards the outer edge of the forest.
'Now let's deal with the Witches as well,' I mumbled as I kept walking. In the air, I saw a thin barrier forming, covering the entire forest. Seems like Trisha was following my words, huh?
'Not bad.'
When it comes to witches, I had a couple of options in my hands. One was to protect all of them by not involving them at all. This way, I would earn nothing but also ensure a safety of one of the options of the quest.
The other was to involve them and then keep trying until I protect them all from the Inverse realm. That way I can earn their favor and use it for a later purpose.
'This way, going through the witches' town wouldn't be a problem in the future… though it is easier said than done,' I sighed.
I knew that it would take much more effort to protect even an extra person, forget about a bunch of them.
Then that leaves the idea of bringing only a couple of them. Maybe half a dozen? And especially who has influence on the witches?
That way it wouldn't be as hard to protect them, while also letting me earn their favor.
Two birds with one stone.
And after giving a bit more thought, I decided that the best number would be 4 of them. That was the best I can handle right now.
Slowly reaching the abandoned town, I reached the well area where I met the witches first. And looking around, I then spoke out in a little loud voice,
"Are you guys going to just watch? I came here to make a deal."
For the next minute, there was no response.
I was about to shout again, but I found a scythe placed around my neck and someone standing behind me.
And following that, a feminine voice came out asking,
"State your purpose, Human."
