Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 968: Let’s See Who Can Outlast Whom
Alice Turner took her phone, still not forgetting the matter of handling the divorce, she quickly arrived at the doorway and resumed her position at the entrance.
Witnessing this scene, Benjamin Shaw felt both angry and amused, though he did not allow himself to laugh out loud. Instead of heading toward the entrance, he changed direction and moved toward the living room, "Let’s see how long you can stand there all night."
As he turned toward the living room, he did not forget to point at her with dissatisfaction.
Benedict thought Benjamin would rush to leave like he did earlier, but surprisingly, Benjamin walked toward the living room, looking like he’s intent on engaging in a standoff.
"Alright! Let’s see who can outlast whom," Since he wanted to persist, she would stand her ground too.
After Benjamin went into the living room, Alice quickly ran to the nearby dining area, grabbed a chair cushion, and swiftly returned to the doorway. She placed the cushion on the ground and bent over to sit on it.
Benjamin enjoyed more comfort, as once he was in the living room, he lay flat on the sofa, reaching out for the remote control on the coffee table when he suddenly spotted a book beside him.
He changed his mind, abandoned the remote control, and picked up the book.
"Sales Manipulation Skill"?!
Is she engaged in sales?
Benjamin glanced at the book he had just picked up, then tilted his head to look in the direction of the entrance, but he couldn’t see Alice at all. After staring at the direction dazedly for a while, he slowly withdrew his gaze.
He suddenly sat up straight from the sofa and began flipping through the book.
Sales begin when you are rejected!
On the front page, there was a line written in carbon pen, the handwriting was beautiful, elegant, clean, and swift, without a hint of hesitation.
Benjamin stared at the handwritten line for a long time before slowly flipping further. Every page he turned had markings with a black carbon pen, including wavy lines and stars.
He carefully read the sentences marked, each phrase was insightful, some even contained profound life philosophies.
Initially, Benjamin’s curiosity led him to skim through the book, but gradually he became captivated by its contents, earnestly turning page by page.
For some time, there was no sound from the living room, making Alice feel peculiar. She got up from the floor and stealthily walked toward the living room, cautiously peeking as she arrived at the doorway.
It was then she discovered he was inside reading, and a focused look revealed he was holding the book she perused daily.
He’s also interested in the book?
Seeing Benjamin engrossed in reading, it didn’t seem that he was just flipping through it casually or merely passing the time.
Alice shook her head in bewilderment and turned from the living room doorway, but instead of returning to the entrance, she went to the kitchen.
She boiled water to make coffee, initially planning just to make a cup for herself, but in a sudden burst of kindness, she made a cup for Benjamin as well.
After making the coffee, Alice carried both cups out of the kitchen and headed straight to the living room.
When she reached the living room doorway, she immediately noticed something unusual. The man who had been sitting on the sofa reading the book was now nowhere to be seen.
