Even though it was just three simple words, they were enough for Thomas Fisher to understand that Alice Turner couldn’t take the call right now. This is what he inferred from those three words.

He didn’t call her back but instead composed a message and sent it to her.

Seeing Thomas Fisher’s reply, Alice Turner felt a headache coming on. After reading the message, she quickly deleted it and set her phone to vibrate mode.

After dealing with things, she put her phone back into her bag and turned to look out the car window, beginning to zone out at the fleeting streetscape.

Nearly an hour later, the two of them arrived at their destination.

Alice waved goodbye to Isla, and then they both turned and walked in opposite directions, with one heading to the living room and the other to the restroom.

After taking a few steps, Isla sneaked a glance back at Alice walking towards the living room. Not noticing anything unusual about Alice, she quickly went to the restroom.

Alice was completely unaware of Isla’s sneaky glances. At that moment, she focused only on walking to the living room.

When she entered the living room, Benjamin was already sitting on the sofa, chatting briefly with Alexander Shaw.

"Alice is here!" Seeing Alice walk in, Alexander Shaw turned his head to greet her.
