Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 31 You Must Leave
Chapter 31 - 31 You Must Leave
Lily Turner never expected that the person on the other end of the call would agree to meet with her, but the result completely surprised her. Not only did he agree to her request, but he did so with such ease.
Tomorrow afternoon at five-thirty at Sc... Scenic Garden Apartments?!
He wants to meet her at Scenic Garden Apartments? Why does he want to meet her there?
Lily suddenly flashed back to the scenes that occurred half a month ago and this morning at Scenic Garden Apartments. She didn't feel well at all and picked up the phone to call Luke Crowe, saying she wasn't going to meet.
But thinking of Henry Thompson and Jenny York's annoying faces, she put the phone she just picked up back on the sofa.
Maybe she was overthinking it; the man probably didn't mean to do anything with her. At most, she could just run if things didn't seem right.
Having had two experiences, Lily called Freya Yeager to buy her some self-defense spray. You shouldn't harbor bad intentions against others, but it's also important to protect yourself in case of an emergency.
Regarding the meeting with the mysterious boss, Lily didn't tell Freya Yeager. The next afternoon, she left the room while Freya was back at the company. She left without any makeup, completely bare-faced.
Worried about being recognized, Lily let her long hair down, covering most of her face. When she got a cab, she took note of the driver and only got in after confirming he was an older man.
She believed she wasn't that well-known yet. Although she was quite famous now, it hadn't reached the point where everyone knew her. Maybe the young people today knew her, but the older folks might not recognize her.
Lily's judgment was correct; the cab driver didn't recognize her. After treating her just like any other passenger and having a normal conversation, he drove towards her intended destination.
When she arrived downstairs at the apartment building, Lily sensitively noticed something unusual around her. "Driver! I just remembered I have some other matters to attend to, please take me away from here."
She didn't get out of the car but asked the driver to turn around and take her away. She had noticed paparazzi lurking nearby and didn't want to face them right now; she wasn't in the mood for them.
The driver complied without any doubts, turned the car around, and drove away.
As the car left the neighborhood, Lily took out her phone from her bag, flipped to the number she had saved as Luke Crowe, and called it. She wanted to see where that man was now and whether they could change the meeting place temporarily.
"Hello! Miss Turner!" After two rings, the person on the other end picked up.
"Hello! Where are you now?" Though they had already talked twice on the phone, Lily remained polite.
"We're almost at the entrance of the neighborhood."
Upon hearing Luke Crowe's words, Lily instinctively turned to look outside the car. At that moment, she saw a car speeding toward the neighborhood entrance. She judged by feeling that it should be this car, "00423, right?"
These numbers looked so familiar. She furrowed her brows, pondered for a moment, and suddenly remembered the password for the apartment lock, 050423. Did these numbers hold any special significance? freёwebnoѵel.com
"Yes!" Luke Crowe glanced outside the car. He saw a passing taxi and quickly noticed Lily sitting inside it. "Miss Turner! Are you leaving?"
