Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 1011: You Can Let Go of Me Now
After Easton Holmes and Lily Turner walked downstairs, Alice Turner approached Thomas Fisher, still feeling quite tense.
"Let’s go." She didn’t have the mood for dinner, much less for watching a movie.
"Let’s eat before we go." Thomas Fisher was feeling much better than before and reached out to hold Alice Turner, but his hand touched air as she sidestepped away.
After the unexpected encounter just now, Alice Turner felt she should be doubly cautious. In the future, she couldn’t be too intimate with him in public; the world is too small, and it’s inevitable to run into acquaintances.
Thankfully, today they ran into her sister and brother-in-law. If they had encountered someone else, her situation with him could have become dire.
"Let’s not eat, let’s go."
After Alice Turner finished speaking, she turned to walk downstairs, but Thomas Fisher reached out and stopped her before she could go.
Instinctively, she struggled to shake off his hand, but after a few tries, she couldn’t. Frustrated, she glanced back at him.
Just as Alice Turner was about to ask Thomas Fisher to let go, Thomas suddenly spoke up, "Let’s wait for your sister and my brother to leave before we go down."
Easton Holmes and Lily Turner had just gone downstairs, and Thomas Fisher thought they hadn’t left yet. If they went down now, the four of them would definitely run into each other.
Meeting would surely be awkward, not only for them but also for the other two.
Hearing Thomas Fisher’s reminder, Alice Turner realized he was concerned that the others hadn’t gone far, and agreed he made sense. She no longer insisted on leaving immediately and decided to wait for a bit to go downstairs.
"I won’t go down. You can let go of me now." Alice Turner looked down at Thomas Fisher’s hand holding hers and indicated for him to release it.
If not for the incident just now, Thomas Fisher would certainly have held on and not let go. But he couldn’t act recklessly now; he had to restrain himself, especially in public places where they might run into other acquaintances.
He’s a man, so it’s no big deal, but she can’t afford it; she’s a woman. He couldn’t let others speak ill of her. Once she’s divorced, he could openly flaunt their relationship.
"Should we just wait here, or go inside and sit?" He released her hand and simultaneously sought her opinion.
"Let’s just wait here, it’ll only be a few minutes." Alice Turner thought that Easton Holmes and Lily Turner would leave in a few minutes. They had no reason to delay.
Thomas Fisher followed Alice Turner’s advice, standing with her in the corridor, waiting as time slowly ticked away. Suddenly, he seemed to remember something, turning sideways to look at her, "Does your sister know about us?"
While he wasn’t very familiar with her sister, he knew enough. Her sister wouldn’t be so calm in such situations.
Her sister had just behaved way too calmly, not showing any surprise or shock. He had been preoccupied talking with his brother and somewhat neglected her sister.
Suddenly, it struck him; her sister’s behavior was too unusual.
"I told her about us this afternoon." Alice Turner said, then suddenly and surprisingly frowned, "How do you know that my sister found out about us? Did your brother say something to you?"
