Raised From The Wild-Chapter 381: Hacker Alliance’s Expose
Princess Amaya’s phone jolted with a vibration. She swiftly unlocked the screen with her thumb to read the message from Ren.
Ren: ’Hey, sis, I’ve just discovered the true identity of the hacker who leaked the confidential dealings of Defense Minister Black. Can you guess who it is?’
Princess Amaya hesitated, her finger lingering just above the screen before finally typing out the two letters.
Amaya: ’XX?’
Ren: ’How did you guess it right? How boring!’
Amaya: ’It is not difficult to guess. It is safe to assume that there are no individuals in the whole world with the ability to infiltrate the Alliance of the Four Continents’ website other than him.’
Ren: ’But your paths did not cross in the past. He came before you. How did you know how he works?’
Amaya: ’I have my ways, Ren. Didn’t I show you a case where the encrypted records of DragonLord were stolen? It was his work?’
Ren: ’Oh, I see. Looks like you are a fan of him. By the way, he did not hack the Alliance’s website. My assumption was wrong earlier. The Alliance’s website did not show any trace of being infiltrated.’
Amaya: ’Are you sure?’
Ren: ’You can check it out yourself.’ 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Amaya: ’I am lazy and a law-abiding citizen.’
Ren: ’...’
He thought to himself, ’Then why did you mentor me and encourage me to join the Hacker Alliance? You even praised me when I ranked no. 3. You have double standard, Princess.’
Amaya: ’If he did not hack the Alliance’s website, are you saying that he got the information himself?’
Ren: ’Yes, that is what I think. He intentionally leaked it out so the Alliance could start investigating.’
Amaya: ’Got it. Go to sleep. What time is it there now? The sun is about to come out, and you are still up. Is Ava asleep?’
Ren: ’Yes, she is already asleep. Goodnight Sis!’
Ren’s icon was that of Spiderman. It suddenly went dark right after saying goodnight.
"I was wrong earlier, General. The website of the Alliance of the Four Continents was not hacked, but rather, a genius hacker intentionally leaked the information," Princess Amaya corrected her earlier statement. "I got information that it was leaked by XX, the number 1 hacker."
Leon’s body tensed as the name XX reached his ears, yet his physical reaction went completely unnoticed by those around him.
"Princess, it seems that your informant may be mistaken this time. XX has been absent for the hacking world in the past two years. It’s possible that he either retired or passed away," General Jones replied, taking a break from reading his email.
"My source was absolutely certain that it was XX. It’s possible that XX assumed a different identity and went undercover for two years."
General Jones found Princess Amaya’s speculation to be highly implausible, but he refrained from expressing his disbelief. As he opened another email, his eyebrows lifted in surprise.
The email he received from the Alliance confirmed that the expose originated from the hacker XX. This individual possesses compelling evidence of Defense Minister Black’s connection to the Dark Phoenix. It has been revealed that Black was the Faction Leader of South Uropa and operated under the alias Almighty Zeus.
General Jones found himself feeling a little embarrassed that Leon’s information was spot on. He couldn’t help but wonder where Leon had obtained such accurate intel.
"The Alliance has sent ment to arrest Prime Minister Jones. Unfortunately, he was comatose in the hospital. His wife, mistresses, and his children were in custody, and the Black Mansion was thoroughly searched. There was incriminating evidence found including the list of the faction members..."
General Jones came to an abrupt halt, his words trailing off as he registered the faces before him. It dawned on him that he had been addressing individuals who were neither his subordinates nor his peers. A wave of realization and embarrassment washed over him. How could he have made such a serious blunder? Perhaps the stress of the current situation had clouded his thinking.
Leon seemed to have read his thoughts.
"I assure you, General, that the information discussed in this room will remain confidential unless it becomes essential to use it for the benefit of the majority. Additionally, we have the capability to access the same information if required."
General Jones felt reassured by Leon’s comments, but he couldn’t help stealing a quick glance at Vasquez, almost as though it was a reflex.
Princess Amaya reassured him calmly, "Vasquez is my trusted guard. You don’t need to worry about it. He even kept more important secrets worth millions."
Vasquez gave a polite nod, as if to affirm the words spoken by Princess Amaya.
General Jones appeared unfazed by the situation. Because of his background and expertise, he made the deliberate decision to refrain from discussing matters related to national security.
"The list is a setup. I hope that Alliance will not fall into the Dark Phoenix’s trap."
"What?" General Jones was confused as he looked at Leon. Was he referring to the list that was found in the Black’s Mansion?
"The names on that list were innocent people. The Dark Phoenix wanted to stir mistrust and dissent amongst the high-ranking officials in each of the continents."
General Jones’s eyes narrowed. He tried to look deeper into Leon’s deep eyes and try to read what was in them. He could see his conviction and he was telling the truth.
"Are you saying that there are no high-ranking officials involved in the Crystal Hotel hostage scenario and in Dark Phonix?" General Jones’ voice turned sharp.
"I did not say that, General. In fact, you will be alarmed to see who the true members of the Dark Phoenix are. But the ones on the list are all innocent and are the people who were secretly being recruited by Dark Phoenix, but they declined.
General Jones had his full focus on Leon. His pupils has constricted and his eyes narrowed.
"Just who are you, Leon Guerro? Why do you know so much?"
