Raised From The Wild-Chapter 358: The Siblings
Ren couldn’t believe it. "That much?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Ava emphasized, "Yes, that’s the amount."
"Hmm... with our funds, we could surprise the Princess by constructing a zoo in Zapanta City in the southern region of Lireya. There is currently no zoo in that area," Ren proposed.
"You are absolutely right, my brother. I am sure Sister Aya will be thrilled with the news. I will contact Uncle Dave and inform him about our plan." Ava giggled just like ordinary girls would.
"You always call the Princess as Sister Aya. Did she permit you to call her that?"
"Of course, she wouldn’t mind. After that ’man’ disappeared, no one called her Aya. I’m sure she’s happy with us using her pet name," Ava said confidently.
As she sat at her desk, her gaze was drawn to the framed photograph in the right corner. The image froze a precious moment featuring her, Ren, and Princess Amaya. In the photo, Ava wore a radiant yellow dress adorned with delicate ruffles on the sleeves, gracefully covering her elbows. Ren sported an orange shirt and a matching baseball cap, exuding an air of effortless charm. Their carefree and joyous expressions stood in stark contrast to the challenges they had faced previously when their true arachnid forms were a constant presence. Thanks to Princess Amaya’s thoughtful gesture, they now wore customized body suits that concealed their unique shapes, allowing them to blend in seamlessly with the people in the palace and on the island.
In the aftermath of the accident two years ago, Princess Amaya found solace in guiding and mentoring the two children. As she spent time with them, she discovered their remarkable abilities. In a short time, they demonstrated outstanding proficiency in computer skills, with Ren especially excelling and becoming a top-notch hacker and computer expert within just one year.
Ava’s expertise extended beyond computer science to the intricate art of creating medicines. Her true passion lay in studying plants and harnessing their medicinal properties. She collaborated with Dave in his lab, delving into the properties of various herbs and plants. Ava specialized in cultivating the miraculous Milagrosa herbs, which she turned into a component of a nutrient solution that she and Ren took daily so they did not need to feed on insects.
The nutrient solution enhanced her and her brother’s physical abilities and bolstered their overall health.
Princess Amaya has given them an identity. They are the orphan siblings Ren Luta and Ava Luta. She wanted to initially adopt them, but because she was a royal, she could not do so. Instead, she gave them a surname.
"Bro, have you been looking into the details surrounding the incident from two years back?" Suddenly, Ava mentioned Marx Skylar’s unexplained disappearance.
Ren remained silent, his gaze fixed on the laptop screen as he absentmindedly twirled the pen in his hand, seemingly lost in thought.
The ten-year-old girl frowned and asked, "Why would you even think about quitting? That man means a lot to the princess."
Ren felt helpless, saying, "I have no idea how I can find him. I’m worried that he may have met a tragic end, being swallowed by the sharks after falling into the water."
Ava released a deep, weary sigh as she fixed her gaze on her brother. The news of Mark Skylar’s possible demise lingered in the air, casting a solemn mood over the room. Her brother, known as ’Alpha,’ was renowned as the foremost hacker in the world, yet his unparalleled skills had failed to uncover any trace of the missing man. A sense of sadness washed over Ava as she reflected that Marx Skylar had once saved them when they escaped from Mount Paraiso.
"Just continue investigating, Brother. Who knows, you might accidentally stumble upon secrets that are worth selling for millions."
Ren just hummed and started typing on the laptop.
...
After resting for a full hour at the Uropa University infirmary, Princess Amaya emerged, flanked by Raquim and Donello. As she gracefully walked through the corridor leading to the main gate, she came across Adelle leisurely strolling with a group of female companions.
"Hey, look who it is. It’s the jinx. Why aren’t you the one in the hospital right now? Why is it Hailey and Molly instead?" exclaimed the imposing, statuesque woman with well-defined muscles.
Princess Amaya regarded them with an air of indifference as Vasquez and the other guards positioned themselves closer, prepared to defend the royal siblings from any potential threats from Lireya. Meanwhile, Raquim’s own guards stood nearby, ready to spring into action if necessary.
Prince Raquim glared at the women who were blocking their way.
"Out of my way!" His authoritative voice made some of the women feel uneasy, but Adelle remained unfazed. She cast a disdainful glance at the group of people standing in front of him. They came from a small country, so she felt superior.
Prince Raquim frowned. The woman did not make any move, and he couldn’t order the bodyguards to manhandle the women who stubbornly stood blocking their way.
"is there anything Miss Adelle Black want to say?" Princess Amaya asked politely.
Adelle scoffed. "You are not worthy of my time. Move aside!"
Donello clenched his fists. Prince Raquim pursed his lips. The woman was so disrespectful.
Amaya’s light brown eyes bore into Adelle’s dark ones. Adelle felt a chill run down her spine and involuntarily stepped aside. Her friends followed suit. Princess Amaya and her entourage walked calmly, bypassing Adelle and her lackeys.
As they reached the gate, a line of cars waited for them. Princess Amaya chose to ride in the first car, leaving Donello to take the second one. The crown prince of Albanya wished to accompany Amaya but had to settle on his vehicle reluctantly.
A guard held the door open for Princess Amaya. She was already inside when she noticed someone occupying the back seat. Princess Amaya thought that she might have entered the bodyguard’s car and was about to get out when a deep voice filled the car.
"Settle down, Princess!"
