Quills: the Rise of the Northern Matriarch-Chapter 116: An Attempt at Clan Allari (2)

"Nora." Kai said as he watched helplessly as the video from the main hall where Nora had placed the call filled up with Peacekeepers. The Matriarch Prime logo was clearly visible on their uniforms. Kai fumed, these were Setton trained Peacekeepers, there was a code of conduct they had to follow, and abducting women was not part of it. Kai started to record the call and opened a split screen to contact Solina. Kai watched in horror as Nora and Leilanna's bodies were lifted by the peacekeepers, as Liem and Cerez were restrained and cuffed and dragged out unconsciously. Kai opened up a second line and a video called Solina. He turned to the camera in the room.

"Mother, Clan Thelan has invaded and is in progress of abducting Nora, Liem, Cerez and Leilanna Allari. What can we do?" Kai shouted at the closest device. He shared the feed with his mother.

"We'll start by dispatching the closest security unit. I have accessed their feeds, and they have not left yet." Solina said as her spouses started to get to work around her. Kai began to lock down the Quill residences and factory. An alarm light began to flash throughout the various rooms. Talan ran into the room from the nursery full of alarm.

"What is going on?" Talan asked in a panicked tone.

"A Matriarch Prime security force is abducting Nora and Leilanna, Cerez and Liem are down. The children are locked in the office for now, but the door will not hold." Kai said as his mouth seemed to run dry. Talan quickly opened his interface and started working. He remotely accessed Nora's interface software.

"How far out is Setton?" Talan asked in an urgent voice. The shields slid down the windows as the building fortified itself.

"We are close." Kai said, relaying the answer from his mother to Talan without the swearing and cussing coming from the other side of the communication. His mother was enraged.

"Alright. I am ready. A second team should be sent to guard the Allari," Talan said, and began to focus on his work. Talan opened his interface with a terrifying look on his face. It was the silent rage he had seen on his face before he ended up ripping half of the face off a fellow trainee after they touched him inappropriately. If Nora was taken, he might have to take Talan on in that Rage state. He dry swallowed and secured the nursery door to protect the staff watching the children. Kai's eyes widened as a maelstrom of activity started to happen on the live surveillance. He understood that the men were following orders. However, with the lack of punishment tools, they could very well object to abducting someone who was advocating for human rights. He did not feel guilt as he saw the looks on the men's faces as Talan worked.

"You did not shut off the pain aspect to it." Kai asked. The peacekeepers started to drop one by one in agony and lose consciousness in the room as Talan worked. Nora and Leilanna took a fall when this happened, but they were not out of the Allari complex yet luckily. They were luckily unconscious and likely hurt.

"Not with her, never would I risk her. The rest of them are not her." Talan said in a trance. He wanted them dead, but he could not. She would never forgive him for it, and he did not want the children to see corspes.

"Mother, is anyone with medical training aboard?" Kai asked his mother.

"Numas and Ryen are with them. I sent the best." Solina answered. Kai raised his brows.

"Did you know something?" Kai asked his mother.

"I have been keeping them on standby, on special duty, just in case something were to happen since the launch. I am certain they are their for Allari. I did not know Nora's whereabouts until now," Solina answered. He had noticed that Setton had been busier since the launch, and speculated that his mother was being cautious, but he did not know Ryen and Numas were home. Was she preparing for warfare?

Talan focused on the various feeds outside the complex. Five Matriarch Prime Transports from Clan Thelan were located outside the building. Talan completely wiped the software on the vehicles outside the Allari complex as a merciless smile spread across his face. The transport started to fall a short distance to the ground one by one. Confused Peacekeepers, looked on to attempt to help their trapped comrades. They climbed on the overturned transports and pried the doors open. Injured peacekeepers crawled out of the transports. One by one they tried to contact Thelan, but Talan had already blocked their communications. Reinforcements will not be on the way. With no answer from their comrades, they prepared to enter to accomplish a secondary goal of commandeering an Allari transport and escaping with the target. He let them try and then disabled the transports. He was pissed at Allari, and it was a passive way to get back at them.

A flood of new Matriarch Prime Peacekeepers flooded the room and began grabbing their heads as they approached Nora and started falling to the ground as they lost consciousness. Kai's jaw dropped as he looked over Talan's shoulder nervously as he worked. Talan was remotely connected to Nora's tools, which had tools prepared especially by him to protect her.

'How dare they mess with what is ours?' Talan thought. Talan quickly awoke Liem and Cerez as he worked. Kadir burst into the room quickly.

"Go to the children, we almost have this under control. Calm them down and get them ready to go to the lower level." Kai said as he noted that it would be too much for the childcare staff member alone with them,

"Flower!" Cerez screamed. Cerez strained. Liem awoke, hearing the anguished cries of men and strained against the peacekeeper's cuffs. He felt pain in his shoulder from the fall and guessed that he had dislocated it. His sensors reinitialized, numbing the dull pain. He could hear the snapping of the flex cuffs.

"Cerez?" Liem called out. They were not in the main hall anymore.

"It's me Liem, I can not see her." Cerez said mournfully. Liem focused and thought about the situation. He tried to break the cuffs again without success. "We need to find her," Cerez said in an angry tone. "What is wrong?" Cerez said as he undid the cuffs.

" I am injured. Could you help me out, and we'll look for her. It looks like Talan has gotten control of her tools, so she is still in the building." Liem felt the bindings come loose quickly. "You check the outer hallway, they likely penetrated from the gates of the old residence, likely." Liem said. Liem quickly ran towards his parents' office where Sirona, Astra, Ivy and Fiona were taking lessons in diplomacy and ethics with Lena and Daven. They should be safe unless they were after Sirona as well. He had no idea how much time had passed and what was being done to her. Though his path was likely the safest, he knew that Nora would want him to protect Sirona first. Cerez was unhurt and the best at close combat if it came to a physical confrontation. He also had field medicine training and could treat light injuries.

'Who knew that it would be Leilanna that would have gotten this reaction?' Liem thought as he ran down the hall. Liem reached the office and tried the door, and it did not work. When the manual response did not work, Liem started kicking it. Luckily, the office was just locked. Talan had unlocked it as he saw Liem panicking trying to get in.

"Oh my goodness, we thought someone was coming to get the females," Reye exclaimed. Reye, Hillian, Dareem and Dorein were in front of the office door poised to resist.

"Daddy, what is wrong?" Sirona asked as she held a very frightened Fiona. The rest of the children were clinging to his mother.

"Mommy?" Ivy cried.

Daven looked around, his eyes welling with tears. 'Where was his mommy?' he thought. He clung to Lena.

"Did the bad people come for us? Where's Mother?" Astra asked. Her frightened look was the complete opposite of her usual calm self.

"Do not worry, Granny is sending people and Cerez and the others are going to protect her. Talan is protecting your Mother." Liem said. "I am here to make sure you are okay." Liem said.

"Come Cerez." Talan whined. He watched Nora helplessly. Talan watched the surveillance feed in the office to see that the children were mostly scared but safe. Clan Thelan had locked the office and disrupted the video feeds and blinded the office. He would be getting his revenge on whomever organized this. Those were his children. His responsibility. Cerez ran and found her. He quickly unbound her. There was no chance he would be awaking her in such a state.

"Damn Allari." Talan said as he shifted to the feed that had Nora and Leilanna in it. Talan watched Cerez pull Nora's unconscious body up into his arms and look at the security feed and give a nod. Talan smiled at Cerez's awareness to acknowledge him. Talan quickly worked on other elements. He awoke Leilanna's spouses next. They all scrambled to look for her. Now that threats were disabled and Setton transports had landed, Talan woke Nora. He did not want her to hear the cries of the men as he disabled them. Although they were a fair distance apart, when Nora would wake up. As soon as he did, he sent the command to rouse her. Kai, Talan and Kadir let out a relieved sigh. Liem rushed into the room with the children next.

"Why won't Leilanna wake?!" Philen yelled out in a voice of anguish. The peacekeepers had actually hurt her. Talan tried again to rouse Leilanna. Leilanna awoke with a gasp and shrunk into Philen's arms.

"You worried me." Philen said as he started to cry. Philen frantically searched her for wounds and found a head wound and bruises forming. "Grizz, return to them what they did to her but more viciously." Philen said spitefully. Prim followed suit, kicking the surrounding and unconscious peacekeepers viciously. Stomping on the hands that touched her.

"What would we do without you?" Philen asked as he embraced her tightly. Leilanna held him tightly. Daven had long ran from the office after hearing his father's cries.

"They were following orders." Leilanna mumbled as she saw her spouses brutally stomping on hands, feet, elbows, knees, ankles and shoulders.
