Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 200: The Theft
"President Morgan, the Wright Group order has been assigned. Do you have any further instructions?"
"That’s fine. Lately, I’ve been considering whether we should organize a fashion show."
"A fashion show?"
Amelia Hayes looked puzzled. "But when Mr. Turner was in charge, he never held one."
Sophia set down the completed style boards in her hand and looked at her young assistant. "You said it yourself—that was when Mr. Turner was in charge. Now, I’m the one sitting in this seat."
Amelia tensed. "President Morgan, I didn’t mean—"
"I know what you meant. The YL branch has been doing well. But I want to open a broader path."
"President Morgan wants to enter the entertainment industry?"
Sophia’s lips curved. "At least you’re catching on. I’ve taken a look—the entertainment sector is our weakest link. If possible, I intend to make luxury couture and YL’s name impossible to ignore."
YL was well-known, but the domestic market still had several giants holding their ground. There was room to rise.
And she still had LT Films in her hands—plenty of resources she could utilize.
Not to mention a few rookies who could use the exposure.
"Your idea is excellent, President Morgan. When would you like to begin?"
"That depends on the planning department. Tell them to prepare three full proposals within the next two days. And inform the design team—I want innovation. Meeting tomorrow afternoon."
"Understood."
She waved a hand. "Go get back to work."
Once Amelia left the office, Sophia let out a deep breath.
It had only been a few days since she returned, yet something felt... off.
A constant sense that something bad was coming.
She tilted her head back, expression unreadable.
When she sat up and reached for her laptop, she instinctively recoiled.
The entire screen had turned red.
Sophia’s brows tightened.
Just then, her phone buzzed.
Three million had disappeared from her account.
"Call cybersecurity—now." She grabbed the internal line. "My computer’s been hacked. Check everything. And look into the missing funds."
"Yes, President Morgan."
She stared at her account balance, massaging her temples. As expected—trouble had arrived.
Moments later, a tall man in his thirties entered the office.
"President Morgan, the attacker is extremely skilled. Their IP address vanished, but the last traceable location was in City A."
"So we can’t recover the money?"
"If they show themselves again, we can."
Sophia frowned. "Three million isn’t much, but if this continues, it becomes a problem. Whoever did this came prepared."
"President Morgan, I’ve already reinforced the encryption on your account. If they try again, they’ll trigger a trap, and I’ll be able to pinpoint their exact location."
This man was the branch’s in-house hacker and tech specialist—highly capable and reliably calm.
Since he was confident, she could at least relax a little.
"Good. Keep an eye on everything—and monitor the company accounts too. I’m certain they’ll test those next."
He nodded and walked out.
Sophia stared at the computer screen, unable to figure out who would pull something like this.
Anyone who truly wanted money would squeeze through even the tiniest crack.
And this attack was far from random.
Meanwhile, inside a café in City A, a voice rang out in excitement.
"Impressive! You actually pulled money from her account. Bro, you’re amazing. If I need anything next time, I’m coming straight to you."
"No problem."
...
Later that evening, after finishing the proposal in her hands, Sophia looked up to find the sky outside completely dark.
It was already past nine.
She gathered her things, plucked a strand of her hair, placed it inside the proposal folder for record-keeping, and finally walked out.
The moment she stepped outside, she spotted a car parked at the entrance—and Lucas leaning against it, rolling a cigarette between his fingers, looking bored out of his mind.
"What are you doing here?"
Lucas’s gaze swept over her, his brow lifting. "You’re really asking me that? It’s the middle of the night, you’re still at the office, and everyone else is gone. You think I’m capable of just sitting at home and not worrying? Sophia, maybe it’s time you just merge your company with Hilton Group and come work with me."
Sophia let out a short laugh, eyeing the cigarette in his hand.
He quickly clarified, "I’m not smoking it. I was just... looking at it."
"Good. Keep it that way."
"Get in. I’m taking you to dinner."
He opened the passenger door for her. Once she sat down, he walked around and slid into the driver’s seat. "Think about what I said, okay? You wouldn’t have to work yourself to death."
"Keep dreaming. YL is my life’s work—and the only thing my mom left me."
Sophia leaned her head lightly against the window.
"You’re mine," Lucas said calmly. "What, you expect our companies to still have two different names? If Hilton Group merged with YL, we’d dominate the market here and abroad. Nobody could challenge us—not even for second place."
"Someone drained three million from my account today."
Lucas snapped his head toward her. "Three million?!"
"Yes. Not a huge amount, but not small either. And I’ve only just returned to the branch. Whoever did this knew my patterns."
She had been thinking about it all day—and this was the only conclusion that made sense.
"Do you want me to investigate?"
"No need. I already have our hacker monitoring everything. If the culprit tries again, he won’t get far."
Lucas drove them into a riverside food truck park, its warm yellow lights glowing against the night. The air was thick with the smell of garlic butter, Cajun seasoning, and sizzling food. Music played softly between the rows of trucks.
"Come on. We’re here," he said, unbuckling his seat belt.
Sophia stared in disbelief at the picnic tables, the food trucks, the crowds. "You brought me to a place like this? Aren’t you the one who always complains this stuff isn’t sanitary?"
Lucas didn’t deny it—he just jerked his chin toward the crowd. "You love crawfish. I checked Yelp and TikTok. This place has perfect ratings. I came here specifically for you."
Sophia couldn’t help smiling as she walked toward the trucks.
The two of them were impossible to ignore—tall, striking, effortlessly good-looking. Even dressed casually, they drew attention instantly. People whispered, someone gasped, and several phones quietly lifted to take photos—but neither of them cared.
Within minutes, a shot of them eating crawfish together at an outdoor table went viral online.
And the most excited person in the comments section was the user who originally told Lucas to take her to a food truck park—
[OMG!!! HE ACTUALLY DID IT! THIS WAS MY IDEA!! WHERE’S MY REWARD??]
...
Meanwhile, at Blackstone Manor—
Faye lay on the sofa, cheeks puffed out. "Guys... I want crawfish too. Do you think Daddy forgot we haven’t eaten yet?"
Angela, ever serious, analyzed it like a case report. "Based on current evidence, Daddy one hundred percent forgot."
Dustin stared at the viral photo, studying it like a detective. "No takeout bags. And Daddy is peeling shrimp for Mommy like it’s a full-time job. Behaviorally speaking... we have been abandoned." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Charles gasped. "No way! Daddy cannot be this unreliable! He said he was picking Mommy up and bringing back food! And now those two eat first?!"
He turned around only to find Billy and Eric facing away from them, moving suspiciously.
"Billy, Eric, what are you two doing?"
Billy turned around slowly, smiling like a seasoned adult, holding up a phone.
"Relax~ There’s nothing in this world that takeout can’t fix."
