The Elven Evolution: Starting With 1 Million SSSR Skills-Chapter 170: [] Infinite Domain
Infinite domain theory...
This was a principle, or rather a level of mastery that users of animation magic could reach.
It was simple, as long as an object or space continually changes form, although that space may not be infinite, it becomes infinite because there is no end.
Marcus had already reached this level of mastery, which meant Eliron had nowhere to run to. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Not like he ever planned on running.
The fireball came down with the fury of hellfire. It had not yet reached him, yet Eliron could already feel its scorching heat.
All the knights were at a respectable distance away, watching him in anticipation, waiting for the flames to consume him.
But Eliron raised his gaze to face the raging fire, making no attempts to flee.
And then just as the fire came, Eliron swung his sword with an explosive force.
The force of the slash sent a large gust of wind flying right at the flames, accompanied by a miniature shockwave that split the ball of fire in half.
Vwooosh!
The two halves crashed into the floor with a bang, blackening the ground and wreathing it in flames.
Bursting right through the flames, the first knight came, plunging his lance right towards Eliron’s chest.
Eliron reacted quickly, adjusting his position and striking at the lance.
Clang!
Large sparks suddenly erupted from both weapons, as Eliron’s sword slid over the surface of the lance, the knight blitzing past, carried by the momentum of his charge.
Behind Eliron, two other knights had leaped with their horses, swinging cavalry sabers right at Eliron’s neck.
He held his sword with both hands, sucking in a deep breath as he struck in a horizontal slash.
Bang!
The knights gritted their teeth, their eyes wide in disbelief as they realized they were actually being pushed back.
Then letting out a low grunt, Eliron broke through their defence, slicing off the head of one of the horses.
The horse’s rider tried to act quickly, but Eliron grabbed the head before it could land, then using it like a mace, he shattered his head, sending blood splashing all over the stone horse’s body.
"You bastard!"
Clash!
Sword arcs filled the air, the knight unleashing a flurry of blows as he pushed his attack, showing expert skill in horseback combat.
Due to the higher range, and the agility of his horse, he managed to last for a good three seconds.
Swish!
Eliron ducked over a vertical slash, then lashed out with breathtaking speed, slicing off the knight’s arm.
The knight was about to scream, when Eliron swung once again, multiple sword marks appearing on both him and his horse—
The scream died in his throat, just as they both crumbled to bloody pieces.
BTzzz—BANG!
Lightning suddenly descended from the sky, exploding into the space Eliron had once stood, reducing the floor to ash and embers.
Eliron jumped away just in time, doing a flip to avoid the streaks that followed like a net of webs.
"That was close..."
A bright yellow light flashed, reflecting right on his pristine suit—
"Well damn..."
BANG—!
More lightning strikes descended from above, crashing into the arena and burning holes into the ground.
Eliron was racing across the floor, the room continually reshaping itself to confound him.
Pillars would rise from the ground, death drops would appear, and sometimes, rocks would descend.
But each time, Eliron would evade them, all while looking out for the scorching lightning that was continually descending as well.
But the mages were not the only people he had to worry about, as the sound of pounding hooves soon reached his ears.
Behind him, three knights were charging forward, the stone horses racing towards him like infernal arrows.
’There is a new one...’ Eliron thought.
But even as they moved at their maximum speed, the knights were still finding it difficult to catch him.
"How the fuck is he so fast?" one of them asked in disbelief, his hands tightening on his reins.
Eliron smirked. Since the moment he took the body refinement potion, down to his grueling training in Artaris...
Carrying rocks up and down a mountain, fighting underwater with weights, deadlifting monster corpses...
Through this training, he had grown. And now, even without mana, Eliron had long surpassed the limits of human capabilities.
He immediately stopped, just as a pillar of lightning decimated the space around him.
His feet were barely grinding to a halt when he pivoted, and jumped right toward the group of knights.
The leading knight tried to pull his horse to a stop, but Eliron had already reached him.
His sword plunged right through his armour, like a knife through butter, killing him on the spot.
Then Eliron swung down, slicing the horse apart as well.
The second knight stopped, his hand trembling, a new emotion blossoming in his eyes...
Fear.
In less than five minutes, Eliron had killed not one, but three minor commanders, all without using a single sword skill or spell.
He took a step back, then paused.
No.
What awaited him if he fled was a far more sinister death. His family would not escape Lord Marcus’ fury.
He took one step forward, then another, letting out a battle cry as he raced forward, his lance glowing with mana as he pointed it forward.
Eliron twisted his body to the side, the lance cutting past him, and the mana surrounding it scorching his suit.
"Hey!" Eliron screamed. "I have a dance after this, you buffoon!" he cursed.
"What the fuck are you even saying?!" The knight raised his lance, about to strike again when Eliron tore the legs of the horse apart, causing it to stumble to the floor, taking the knight down along with it.
Swish!
A blade sliced through the air from behind, racing for his neck, but Eliron immediately spun, meeting the attack with a slash of his own.
Bang!
A shockwave cut past them as three blades met, both fighters pushing their swords against each other.
The knight was a man that seemed just a little older than Eliron. He had an elaborate mustache, and a cocky aura about him.
Unlike other knights, he made use of two swords instead of one.
He smirked as he stared at Eliron. "Shall we dance?"
Eliron frowned. "Sorry, I’m fully booked for the night."
"Ah, how disappointing."
Both of them jumped backward, distancing themselves from each other.
Eliron stole a glance at his side, just to see the second knight rise from the rubble of his horse.
He let go of his lance, and instead drew his standard issue sword, his face locked in a snarl.
"Calm down ladies, there is enough of me to go around." Eliron smiled.
"Rahhh!" The knights screamed as they launched themselves at him from both sides.
Eliron dodged the first strike from the first knight, stepped away from a blow from the other, then met their swords with his own on their third attempt, a perfectly seamless defence.
The knight’s anger grew. "He is just one man!"
This time, their attack was more potent, their swords fueled by rage.
But it was all the same.
Eliron tilted his head to the side as a sword came, then he grabbed the sword with both hands, just before snapping it in half.
Bang!
A blow rocked the knight’s head back, followed by an upward slash that took his arm off, sending him stumbling back and screaming in pain.
Eliron was about to finish him off when—
Booom!
Lightning once again descended, separating them.
Swish!
The two-handed sword man danced into the battle, swinging both weapons with a grace seasoned by experience.
Eliron blocked the first strike, sparks filling his vision, but the second sword came racing for his eyes. He took two steps back, deflecting the sword to the other side.
The knight unleashed a number of strikes, each one lethal in its own right, and then his horse came charging at Eliron, trying to ram into him.
Eliron side-stepped the stone beast, decapitating it with ease. Then he grabbed its head...
"Be a dear and dodge this." he said, as he flung it right at the knight.
The horse’s head spun with incredible force, bruising the knight’s face and speeding past, flying into the sky.
"Ha!" The knights jeered. "You missed!"
Eliron smirked. "Did I?"
Up above on one of the pillars, one of the mages was preparing another lightning spell, ready to unleash it, when the projectile suddenly slammed into him, crushing everything from his waist up.
The mage shook on the platform, the spell letting loose as he fell to his death.
And as for the lightning spell, it came right at the dual sword wielding knight.
The man stared at the glow in disbelief.
"Ah, fuck!"
Bang!
The spell swallowed him whole, reducing his body to a blackened mass of flesh.
Eliron then drove his sword back, then turned around with a stoic look on his face.
"Too noisy..."
The one-arm knight had tried to sneak attack him, and now, Eliron’s sword was sticking out of his back.
"M-monster..." The man coughed up blood, the sword falling from his shaky hands just before he slid off the blade.
’Four knights down, three mages left...’ Eliron thought.
But he was nowhere near his true goal. Marcus was still hiding somewhere in the maze.
’There should be a way to find him...’
Eliron cracked his neck, stretching as he stared up.
Animation magic used the host as both the focal point as well as the power source.
Finding the center of the room was impossible due to it constantly shifting form, but locating the source of the mana... That was reasonable.
All Eliron had to do was analyse the flow of mana, and then trace it back to the source.
But of course, Marcus would not just sit back and watch him track him.
The mages up in the sky were preparing their next spell, and as for Marcus...
Stomp!
The ground shook as though a miniature earthquake had occurred. By the sides of the room, the gargantuan statues...
They had begun to move.
