QT: Grace To Grass Counterattack System-Chapter 165 I Became The Top Cultivator With My Harem Of Beauties Beside Me 38
He Yuan made sure to keep an eye out for any signs of Mo Jiu. The man's harem members had dimension passes so it wasn't impossible for one of them to hand their pass over to Mo Jiu out of no other reason but 'love and devotion.'
He was also restless because he still hadn't thought of what to do to the secret dimension to make the inheritance inaccessible.
"What's wrong?" Gu Long asked. He'd been watching Mo Sheng act edgy and restless right after the match and he was a little worried. He narrowed his eyes and leaned in to whisper, "Did you get injured?" If Mo Sheng had gotten injured then it would be quite troublesome to go into the secret dimension.
He Yuan pinched his nose bridge and shook his head slightly. Why was he even worrying so much? It wasn't as if his worry was going to change a thing. If Mo Jiu was truly going to sneak his way into the secret dimension then He Yuan would run into the man sooner or later. After all, he held the secret chamber pass.
He'd figure out what to do with the inheritance once he managed to stop Mo Jiu.
One by one, the one hundred other dimension pass holders arrived at the location. Mu Qingqing was surrounded by a very little amount of Tianmo sect disciples -Shen Mianmian was no where to be found.
He Yuan wondered what was up with that. The jade twins were also surrounded by disciples of their own sect, fawning over them and praising them to the heavens. The last member with a pass, Xing Mei was also surrounded by the disciples of the sect she had decided to represent.
The four lovers of Mo Jiu looked quite restless and kept glancing around from time to time. Xing Mei was the most worried. Even after she'd been chased away cruelly by Mo Jiu, she'd still gone over the next day but was denied entrance into his room.
She had felt Mo Jiu was dissatisfied with the fact that he couldn't go into the secret dimension and had offered him her own pass but he remained silent and still denied her entrance to his room. She was so worried.
Each time her eyes trailed to Mo Sheng, her anger increased. It was all his fault!
At at the moment all four of Mo Jiu's lovers were thinking the same thing. Mo Sheng was at fault. Why did he run his mouth about Mo Jiu's business? What kind of a daxiong was he? Absolute traitor!
He Yuan was the only one out of the winners that had just one person beside him but he wasn't bothered by it. Mo Sheng never had a warm relationship with his fellow disciples and even if he did, he doubted any of them would show up now.
They were all expecting Mo Jiu to hand over the divine level manual to Ru Lianfeng so they wanted to make sure they tried their best to do everything in the book to stay on Mo Jiu's good side. Unfortunately, avoiding Mo Jiu's daxiong -who had put him in the spot in front of so many people- was at the top of that list.
Soon enough, there was a rush of strong spiritual energy in the atmosphere and a rift tore through space and slowly began to widen with cackles of lightening.
The cultivators all stared as the dimension portal widened and widened until it became several meters big and stable. Nothing could be seen on the other side. The portal was just a wall of pure darkness.
One by one, the dimension pass holders began to enter the the portal. There was no need to team up out here as each pass led its holder to a different part of the secret dimension.
Gu Long held He Yuan's sleeves as he walked forward. "Be careful alright?" When He Yuan only nodded, his lips tightened. Although the secret dimension was filled with treasures, the mortality rate was also very high.
Out of a hundred and one, barely thirty made it back every twenty years. He looked up at He Yuan. "If you can't fight, run. You don't have to be brave. If it gets too hard, you can also hide. Hiding doesn't make you a coward."
He Yuan chuckled. He didn't have a death wish. Of course he would run and hide if things became too difficult. No matter what, his life was the most important but he doubted he'd have a lot of hiding places in such a place.
He Yuan turned to leave but Gu Long held him back once more. "Remember your promise. You have to come back and show me your demon form."
He Yuan nodded and after one last look around, he walked forward and entered the dimension portal.
Mo Jiu watched as Mo Sheng entered the portal with his secret chamber pass and he grit his teeth. Mo Sheng should better hope they don't cross paths in there, because only one of them was going to make it out of that encounter alive. And then he walked forward and entered the portal.
HISS!
SSSS!
HISS!
As soon as He Yuan transported into the secret dimension, he ended up in a den with a gigantic three headed Azure snake. His eyes widened when the three heads all zeroed in on him at the same time.
"Fuck!" He exclaimed quickly and took out Xiatian. He'd always known his luck was bad but this... This was just pathetic.
He quickly looked around for an escape route. He appeared to be underground since the walls were muddy and the entire place was very moist. He had no idea if it was the natural temperature or if it had something to do with the gooey black slime that the Azure snake left behind as it slowly crawled in his direction.
The one thing He Yuan was sure of after his quick observation was that there appeared to be no escape route. Shit. He was screwed. He was so screwed.
CLANK!
One of the snake heads shot towards He Yuan at lightening pace. Fortunately, he managed to use Xiatian to block its powerful fangs in time. His defensive robes wasn't so lucky as another head spewed the same black gooey slime from it's mouth and melted part of it.
The third head shot towards him and he quickly dived out of the way, digging Xiatian into the side of the snake at the same time.
CLANG!
The saber met with resistance. The Azure snake had rock hard scales protecting its exterior. He Yuan swallowed and began running round the snake in circles, digging Xiatian here and there, trying to find a weakness.
The three heads weren't idle either as they followed after He Yuan, trying to get a bite out of the overactive cultivator.
Finally, He Yuan found the only possible weakness of the snakes. Their flesh was impenetrable on the outside but the same couldn't be said for the inside. And their mouths were the only visible entrance to their insides. He was sweating profusely as he tried to find an opening to catch them off guard.
The Azure snake was very huge so their heads were all the way up there whilst he was on the ground. They were also quick to retract their heads after each attack.
After fighting and running for sometime, He Yuan finally got the Azure snake tangled up. It was quickly untangling itself as the slimes made it easier so He Yuan acted quickly.
He used his spiritual energy to leap over the snake and once in the air, he took out three metal balls and shot them into each of the open mouths waiting to catch him.
Next, he pierced Xiatian into the roof of the cave and used it to hold himself up in the air.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The metal balls slid down the throats of the three headed Azure snake and tore the spirit beast apart from the inside. The skin of the snake was so tough that it didn't tear apart. Rather the inside of the snake was grinded to meat paste whilst the outside was normal.
He Yuan waited for several minutes to make sure the snake was truly dead and not pretending before pulling out Xiatian and landing on his feet. A horrible stench filled the cave from the bloody mouths of the snake.
The core of the snake would be very valuable but the only way He Yuan would be able to get it was by digging his hand through the mutilated interior as the exterior was still impenetrable.
He Yuan shuddered. No way. And he had a job to do. After another look around, he finally found the exit. It was camouflaged to look like the rest of the muddy walls but the mud appeared fresh and was much softer.
He quickly destroyed it and ran out.
Only to run into a long corridor. The cave was much larger than he thought. He Yuan began to take off down the corridors. He had no idea where he was but he needed to hurry. If Mo Jiu got to the inheritance before him them everything he'd done up to this point would be for nothing.
It took a while before He Yuan finally realized something was off. He'd been running around corridors but did not run into any spirit beast or ancient monster. And the corridors seemed to look exactly the same.
He grit his teeth. This was the reason no one had been able to find the Dao ancestor's inheritance even after all these years.
The entire secret chamber was a maze.
"Fuck!" He Yuan exclaimed with his hands in the air. Just how worse could this day get? After standing still and moping for a while, he collected himself.
Next, he began carefully inspecting the walls in each corridor. He didn't know how long he took but once he was done with his observations, He Yuan randomly selected a wall and clenched Xiatian tightly in both hands.
He didn't have time to play games and solve the puzzles that the Dao ancestor had set for the inheritor of his legacy. He had a job to do!
And then He Yuan began tearing down the walls and walking right though the maze the unconventional way.
