Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 798 - 796: Tying You To Keep Me Company(4)_1
But they had no idea she had already disappeared in Syrena. As for the car, who knew where it had been parked?
As consciousness returned, Camila Ruiz felt a thick, calloused hand caressing her face. Someone had taken advantage of her! Dammit! The back of her neck ached painfully!
After the hand caressed her face, she heard a deep voice say, "Is the Ruiz Family destitute? How did they raise you to be so delicate? You’re as thin as a stick."
Your mother is the one who’s as thin as a stick! I’m slender, alright? Besides, I’m not even thin, am I? My weight is perfectly normal. Where am I supposedly thin?
Camila’s eyes snapped open. She met a pair of dark, deep eyes, like bottomless abysses, and a handsome face. The face seemed vaguely familiar yet somewhat strange, as if she had seen him somewhere before but couldn’t quite recall. His two thick, soaring eyebrows, in particular, struck her with a sense of familiarity. What a handsome young man! Calling him a young man was no exaggeration; he appeared to be around her age.
"Awake? Those two old fellows were a bit heavy-handed, made you sleep a little too long," the youth said, stroking his chiseled, handsome chin and looking at her with a half-smile.
Camila Ruiz sat up abruptly. The pain at the back of her neck made her frown slightly. She stared defensively at the young man before her. He wore a black short-sleeved shirt and black trousers—a very common attire. She was familiar with it because Uncle Glades Horne and Brother Ivan often dressed this way in the summer: stylish, yet exuding authority.
"Did you order someone to knock me out? Where is this? Who are you?" she demanded.
The youth chuckled softly. Camila found his laugh charming. His dark eyes seemed to sparkle with an almost electric charm, quite different from Brother Ivan’s smile.
Suddenly, he leaned in, closing the distance between them.
Camila thought he intended to take advantage of her. Even before she fully regained consciousness, she had felt someone touching her face. Now, with only this young man in sight, it was obvious this bastard had been the one. Seeing him lean closer, Camila didn’t hesitate to throw her fists forward. I’ll knock your teeth out!
His hands, slightly larger than hers and quite powerful, still developing, easily enveloped her two small fists. He moved with godlike speed. Although she had trained in basic combat and her movements were quite fast, he still managed to catch her fists with unerring accuracy.
"Trying to hit me the moment we meet!"
"Let go of me! Who are you? What do you want?" Camila struggled fiercely, more angry than afraid. For some reason, she felt this young man wouldn’t hurt her.
"Who am I?" The youth gripped her hands tighter. "You can’t recognize me at all? And here I’ve been thinking of you day and night. How heartless of you."
Camila’s face flushed slightly. It was the first time she had been this close to a member of the opposite sex, and he was a handsome young man at that. She stared hard at the youth’s face. It felt so familiar, yet she just couldn’t recall who he was. He had mentioned the Ruiz Family earlier, which meant he knew her identity.
"If you have any guts, tell me who you are!" Camila growled in frustration.
The young man laughed. His smile was bright and infuriating, tinged with sarcasm. "It seems your mother tried her best to raise you as a lady, but she failed."
Camila Ruiz’s expression darkened. This guy even knows Mother’s greatest wish was to turn me into a lady? Who on earth is he?
"Take your time to think about it, ha. If you can’t remember who I am, you don’t get to eat." The youth released her hands, stepped back, and then stood up.
Camila knew she was no match for him, so she stopped her futile resistance. Sitting on the bed, she questioned the youth as he turned to leave, "What are your intentions? Do you want money, or my life?" 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
He was tall, almost as tall as Brother Ivan. Judging by his appearance, he couldn’t be more than fifteen, yet he was nearly 175 centimeters tall. If not for the lingering youthfulness on his face, one might mistake him for an adult.
The youth turned back. His eyes, dark as deep pools, fixed on her face as he chuckled. "I don’t want money, nor do I want your life. I’m just terribly bored and need some company."
What kind of ridiculous reason is that? Keep him company? Camila desperately wanted to grab the soft pillow from the bed and hurl it at him. What an infuriating guy!
"Where is this place?"
Camila surveyed her surroundings. She was in a large, bright room. Everything was decorated in shades of pink, which felt strangely familiar and warm. After a moment, she realized the room’s color scheme and furnishings were identical to her own bedroom. No wonder it felt so familiar and warm. Why would there be a room here exactly like mine? Countless questions flooded Camila’s mind, leaving her completely baffled.
The youth suppressed his chuckle and answered crisply, "I don’t know where this is either."
"Are you crazy? You don’t even know where your own home is?" Camila couldn’t help but curse. Having been raised by her nanny for over a decade, her patience was considerable; she was usually the epitome of a lady. Yet, facing this youth, who was as handsome as a celestial being, her composure completely vanished. Apart from her childhood nemesis, this was the first time she had lost her composure in front of someone other than Jimmy Horne, with no regard for her image.
"This isn’t my home," the youth said softly, a fleeting hint of yearning in his dark eyes. He turned and walked towards the door again.
Not his home? Camila wanted to ask more, but the youth had already disappeared from the room.
She jumped out of bed quickly, the back of her neck still a little sore. They were really rough.
Looking out the window, it was pitch-black. The lights were on in the room, so she hadn’t realized it was already nighttime when she woke up. Her family must be worried sick that she’d been kidnapped and brought here. She had to find a way to escape and call the police.
