Narika rolled over on the other side of the bed, as a satisfied smile ran up her lips at remembering last night. She slept like a baby after their makeout session which she’s happy to try again with him.

She opened her brows eyes, as a gasp left her lips at finding excited green ones that were staring at her, was he watching her all long?

"Hey, sweet girl. I trust you had a lovely night?" Adrik asked her, as his right hand covered her left one which he pulled up to his lips and kissed it.

"Were you watching me sleep?"She asked, as she sat up on the bed, only to realize that she was naked underneath, the bed sheets were the only thing that covered her up.

"I couldn’t help it, you are a lovely sight not to stare at." Adrik added, before standing up in front of her to caress her plump lips.

"You are a creep.’’Narika laughed before slapping his hands away from her face, before standing up too. She needed to take a bath and ofcourse find a cloth that is not just bedsheets.

She gasped and held in her breathed when she felt herself being lifted into warm hands." Seriously dude, what’s wrong with you this morning?" She asked, since she clearly was avoiding him, Narika didn’t know how to go about expressing her feelings and telling him that she enjoyed their foreplay last night, and he’s welcome to try that again with her.

That’s not just her, but when it comes to him. There’s her...she always couldn’t find her words, anytime she’s this close to him. But that certainly didn’t hide the fact that she’s attracted to this guy and she’s ready to have a relationship with him.

"You are avoiding me?" She heard him say from her back, but before she could say anything else, he added."I don’t want to hear you tell me that you are regretting anything, so even if it’s just for a while. Just act like you love me, Narika."Adrik pleaded.

There was a change in his voice, that pickled at Narika’s conscience letting her know that making him feel this way after last night was a terrible idea. She shouldn’t have done that but there’s still time to correct her mistakes.

She tapped on his shoulder as his green eyes popped up to meet her brown ones, that were looking at him, seeking something out of him. Adrik didn’t know what more she was trying to find out from him.

He didn’t know what pain her ex had caused her, but she should know that he’s sincere and he’s not like any of them. He meant it when he said that he loves her.

"I’m not ...regretting anything." She said softly, and that made his eyes twinkle in happiness, and before she knew it he stood up with her still being in his arms.``Seriously Adrik, don’t i weigh alot? Put me down." She says worriedly, trying to pull at his hand but he slapped her ass.

"Get used to it, I get touchy when i’m with the woman i love.It’s only a matter of time before i seduce your pretty ass into bed." Adrik said corkily, which made Narika scoff at his bragging self.

"You wish. You are a grown ass whore, Adrik."Narika muttered, before he started moving towards the bathroom.``What are you trying to do?" Narika added, since it seems Adrik was full of surprise this morning and she didn’t want to be taken unawares by any of it.

"Let’s have a bath, together." Adrik emphasized much on the ’together’ while his brow quirked up to her in a questioning stance to get her permission, which he fully had.

It didn’t take much and she was submerged in the tub with him at her back, washing her back with the loofah and soap. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

"Do you think that there’s ever a chance that Baram, would be taking over my body anytime soon?" She asked softly, not sure that Adrik wanted to have this conversation,but it can’t be helped. She needed someone to talk to about what’s happening to her.

"Why asking? Did anything new happen, did you see her again?" Adrian asked worriedly, as he turned her around so she could face him.

"No..not yet, but i do get this bad feeling that something is going to happen soon. I don’t know when or how, but i can feel it and it’s scaring me." She cried softly.

"Babygirl, look at me."Adrik said, cupping her face in his palms, before cleaning the little tears forming in her eyes." I wouldn’t let anything bad happen to you, while i am here. I am not leaving you for anything, Narika. It’s you and me now babygirl, and i promise you nothing is going to happen."Adrik assured her, before pecking her cheeks.

"Thank you for being here for me." She whispered, while rubbing affectionately at his hand that was touching her cheeks.

"I would always be here, sweet girl. It’s just a matter of time until i fix this mess between the both of us and my dad, then you can live a normal life just like you wanted, okay?"

"Does that mean you have met him?" Narija asked, causing him to look at her in confusion.

"Who?"

"Your Godfather, Oregon. You left early with the note that you are going to find him to help us. You never told me anything when you came back. So, did you meet him?"She reminded him.

"No, when i got there everything was destroyed. I couldn’t find anyone or anything, it seemed Sakura did something to him." Adrik said, he was feeling a little bit conflicted knowing that something bad had happened to him.

"There’s no finding out what she did to him, because you killed Sakura." She remembered the way his beast took over, creating mayhem upon Sakura and her aunt, who was supposed to be protecting her turned out to be working for Lucifer.

Lucifer had his family under his control, and just then a thought came in about him hurting her own family just to find her.

She wanted to let him know what’s running through her mind, but then a gunshot went off outside that made Adrik hug her protectively.

"What’s.. that?" She asked, scared.

"I don’t know, but i don’t think that’s anything good." Adrik said, standing up before carrying her back into the room and searching for a new dress from wherever Laila had packed up clothes for her."Dress up, Narika."

"Where are we going? Are we leaving?" She asked, taking the dress from the bed while she watched him dress up immediately, before moving over to peek outside the window to see that no one was in sight , which was odd reconsidering how busy the villagers were.

"I don’t know yet, but we have to be prepared for that, we both know that we aren’t going to stay here forever." Adrik told her, before he left the room while her mind was a whirlwind of thousands thoughts, but she kept it all to herself.

How on earth could she tell him that she isn’t ready to leave, when there’s a possibility that that gunshot was meant for the both of them, but nevertheless she dressed up.

"Ready?" Adrik asked, corking his gun under her eyesight, since when did he have a gun?

"Yeah." She said, before he took her hand into his before walking out of the room with a positive mindset. If this is about what it is he’s thinking, he would go down or be die before he lets anything happen to her.
