Primordial God Of Time-Chapter 51: Taking In The Disciples To Train Them
Chapter 51: Taking In The Disciples To Train Them
Kranos stood silently, observing the five cultivators before him. After watching them display their techniques, he could roughly estimate their cultivation levels. With a few calculated guesses, he ranked them and selected the top five—three men and two women. Giving them a subtle nod, he turned and led them toward a building located slightly away from the main courtyard.
This courtyard had been specially constructed over the past six months by the City Lord, intended solely for Kranos to train these cultivators. As Kranos stepped inside, his gaze swept across the area. Besides a few leisure trees that had clearly been transplanted, the courtyard was mostly empty, with minimal distractions, perfect for cultivation.
The five cultivators entered cautiously. They recalled that even though Kranos seemed like a kid, he was probably on the same level as the City Lord, if not stronger. They could only stand in silence, waiting for Kranos to begin teaching them. ƒreewebɳovel.com
Kranos soon found a wooden stool inside the courtyard, which he sat on and then began pondering. Basically, he couldn’t advise them on their cultivation techniques since he wasn’t an elder on that level yet.
After a moment of contemplation, he tossed each of them a pouch filled with a hundred high-grade mana stones. Over the past six months, they had been comprehending advanced techniques while forcibly suppressing their breakthroughs. With these resources, Kranos knew they would erupt like dormant volcanoes finally set off.
Seeing the hundred high-grade mana stones in their line of sight, the cultivators’ eyes lit up with joy. Without hesitation, they hastily reached out and snatched them up as though they were afraid that the mana stones might vanish if they delayed even a moment longer.
"Use these resources to cultivate," Kranos said calmly. "Over the next six months, you will spar with one another fiercely and without holding back. Treat it as if your life is on the line. The more progress you show, the greater the rewards you’ll receive."
He knew that only when one’s life was endangered would they erupt with unimaginable potential. This was what he wanted, to force the potential out of these cultivators by engaging in life-and-death duels.
Of course, he was confident about this because he could pause time at any moment and rescue them, which was why he allowed them to do so.
But upon hearing his words, they all frowned, they felt Kranos was looking down on them and as though their lives meant little to him. But none dared voice their thoughts. Silently, they could only bite their lips hard and wait for Kranos’ next order.
"That’s all for now, you may all go and cultivate." Kranos waved them away, and before resuming his cultivation, he informed them just as their figures were about to vanish from sight, "Remember to inform me whenever any of you want to spar."
...
After the five cultivators left Kranos’ line of sight, they immediately began muttering under their breaths. One of the female cultivators was furious. "Who does he think he is? The City Lord’s son? Even the City Lord’s son would have to show us some amount of respect!"
The other cultivators immediately voiced their thoughts; they felt indignant. If it wasn’t for the fact that Kranos was stronger than them, they would have loved to show him what a life-and-death duel looked like.
...
Meanwhile, Kranos remained seated in the center of the courtyard, immersed in cultivation. He focused his spiritual sense inward, studying his golden core. Two intricate engravings were etched on its surface, signifying that he was at the second stage of the Golden Core Realm.
A third pattern was beginning to take shape. Kranos faintly guessed that it should fully form in about a month, even though he could use mana stones to accelerate the process, he would similarly have a weak foundation.
Time passed while he was meditating, and he was suddenly interrupted by two voices. He immediately opened his eyes. He realized that there were two cultivators in front of him, one was a female with dark purple hair dressed in a green Daoist robe, and the young man beside her had pale green hair and was dressed in a brown robe; he had a spear hanging on his back.
Kranos raised a brow seeing them, and asked in a flat tone, "What is it?"
The young man quickly cupped his fist in respect. "Esteemed sir, we wish to spar. That’s why we’ve come," the lady by the side nodded as well.
Kranos frowned slightly. "You’ve only been cultivating for a short while, and already you want to spar?"
Seeing Kranos’ frown, the young man immediately spoke awkwardly, "Esteemed sir, it’s already more than two weeks, I feel I need to release some energy or my breakthrough speed will slow down significantly."
Kranos thought for a moment before nodding in agreement. He pointed to the courtyard in front of him and spoke, "you may begin your fight. Control your strength and try not to destroy the surroundings. This can also be considered a form of training for you." he advice while using spatial flash and taking the stool with him, he appeared around the edges of the courtyard.
The young man withdrew his spear without hesitation. Kranos stared at the battle, he could see that the lady had no weapon, so he wondered how she would defend against the man’s ferocious spear.
Like an agile tiger pouncing on its prey, the man’s spear shot out at lightning speed. In a flash, it seemed to cross the distance and aim straight for the woman’s forehead.
Kranos recognized the technique instantly—it belonged to the Raging Gale Spear Art, one of the many cultivation manuals he had distributed.
Just then, the woman made her move. With a flick of her robe, she seemed to transform into a serpentine blur. Dozens of silver needles materialized in her hands, striking the spear with pinpoint accuracy. Each needle landed at its weakest joints, halting its momentum entirely.
The Daoist immediately moved agilely. Her robe fluttered as she gracefully weaved through the courtyard, sending a second wave of needles toward the spear-wielder while also retrieving the ones she had already thrown. In response, the young man swung his spear in a wide arc, attempting to destroy the incoming projectiles.
