Chapter 1445: Unknown Forest

Long before it became a Unique Planet, Brymrr was already vast. To travel from one end to the other, even an Immortal Lord would have to fly for 100 years.

Thankfully, there were teleportation formations, which could take one from one city to another. This had, in the past, lessened how much time it took to travel across the planet.

However, after the transformation into a Unique Planet, it continued to expand, becoming even more vast.

But aside from its expansion, it also brought many changes.

One of those changes was the numerous forests that came out of nowhere, teeming with all kinds of hidden dangers.

Over the years, many such forests were named, and restrictions were placed on them to prevent ignorant people from throwing their lives away by venturing inside.

However, while many were named, many remained unnamed.

Because of that, they are known as Unknown Forests. Nobody has any idea what dangers are hidden within because not many are brave enough to venture in there to find out.

Kent, unfortunately, found himself in one of such forests after entering the portal. It opened on a small island inside a forest so vast that his Soul Map could not see much.

Luckily, the moment he used the Soul Map, much of the island came within his scanning range, so he knew he was safe for now.

"Really, why didn’t you just send me to the bottom of the ocean and be done with it?" Kent cursed at the Planet Teleporter before putting it away.

While it is convenient to have such a treasure, the mere fact that he is now stranded on an island, surrounded by nothing but water, is just not something he expected.

In the past, the planet teleporter sent him to places much closer to civilization. However, today, he is stranded on an island surrounded by nothing but water.

But if that isn’t enough, even after crossing the water, he would appear in the main forest, and from there, he would have to make his way out.

But if there is an island inside this forest, then what else would be waiting for him on the other side?

Kent decided not to discourage himself.

Instead, he focused on knowing more about the island and the forest in general. Luckily for him, he had once made a deal with the Enchantress, so he activated his Heavenly Jade Eye, which was actually a blend of three Innate Eyes.

One of them had to do with knowing something about anything. Mostly, when he arrives on a new planet, he can scan it, and the eye will show him what it knows.

Kent didn’t want to go above and beyond, so he only scanned the island.

[Unknown Forest Discovered]

[You are currently on the red island inside an Unknown Forest on planet Brymrr. The forest spans 2,506,000 km in radius. It is home to a variety of beasts and demons.

The red island is the resting place of the Sea Serpent, a mutated snake that underwent a race change after passing the Beast Mutation Tribulation. It is an Immortal Monarch-stage beast that comes to relax on the island every night.

It is advisable to leave before it arrives since it hates to share its space with anyone.]

"Oh, that is unexpected," Kent muttered, his expression turning dark.

Kent scanned the island again but saw nothing that suggested it was the resting place of a serpent. However, to be more careful, he extended his search to look for elemental patterns.

As expected, somewhere about 40,000 km away, he saw a 1,000-meter-wide mud pond. He focused deeper and saw that this mud pond linked directly to the sea.

This showed that the pond is the gateway it takes to come to the island. Knowing this, he decided to expand the search.

"Tower, scan the sea and tell me what you can find. Also, what is the distance between the island and the forest?"

[Way ahead of you, Master. I have scanned the 800,000 km radius around the island and found that, aside from the Sea Serpent, there are other beasts hidden in the water. The Sea Serpent is the ruler of the Central Sea. It is also the strongest.

But aside from it, there are seven others. If the Master is to travel north, the Great Bone Shark will be a problem. Due south, the Metal Dolphin and Electric Whale will be a problem.

Due east, the Green Scale Octopus Queen and Three-Headed Sea Lion would attack without delay. Finally, due west, there are the Poison Crab King and Hypnotic Jellyfish. All seven are Immortal Emperors.

Also, the distance between you and the forest due east is 470,000 km. The other sides will take 600,000 km of travel to escape the sea.]

"So the best choice is to head east, where there is a high chance I will be attacked by the Green Scale Octopus Queen and Three-Headed Sea Lion."

[Yes, Master. However, the Master would have to make a decision in the next three hours since the sun will be going down by then, and it would be too late to escape from the Sea Serpent if you are not gone by then.]

Kent took a deep breath.

He was not afraid yet.

After all, he could call on his Soul Warriors to aid him. However, before doing that, he needed to analyze his options first.

There are seven Immortal Emperor-level beasts and one Immortal Monarch-stage beast. Even if he wanted to, he would have a hard time taking any of them on.

Although he had defeated an Immortal Emperor before, that was because the beast in question was not its true self. It was supposed to be a Calamity Beast, but because of the restrictions on it, it was barely considered a pseudo-Calamity Beast.

However, these ones are the real deal. Even the Sea Serpent had undergone a Beast Mutation Tribulation and passed. That is akin to forming a Chaos Heart and undergoing a Dragon Tribulation.

So he had to think carefully because even with Calix, Kenna, and Bello helping him, he wouldn’t have it easy.

"Tower, what do you think I should do? I have a year to spend here, so I can burn a few days."

[The Master is here to train and prepare for his journey through the Star Gateway. Since that is the case, it is advisable to at least measure the Master’s strength against these powerful beasts.

Also, the Master has yet to see what the Soul Warriors can do and how best to synchronize with them in battle. So spending a few days here challenging these beasts seems like a logical idea.

Of course, the Master would have to know that they have a territorial advantage, so a simple mistake can prove fatal. That aside, challenging these beasts is a good move.]

Kent sat down and started to think about what he should do. What the Tower said is indeed logical, but he must also consider some factors.

After a few minutes of thought, he came up with a plan. "Right now, I don’t know how to contact Inaya, so every second spent not searching for her is a second wasted. That said, there is also no telling how long it will take me to traverse the forest and find my way to civilization.

However, I also cannot waste this chance. I am here to train after all, so this sounds like a good chance for me. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

I will take the route due east and face the Green Scale Octopus Queen and Three-Headed Sea Lion. Once I find Inaya and I still have time, I will come back."

After saying that, his dragon wings appeared, and he took flight, heading toward the east, where a great battle awaited him.
