Looking at his status window, Ash felt a small amount of satisfaction deep inside, a quiet sense of progress that stirred somewhere in the corner of his chest, but that fleeting feeling never made it to his face.
His expression remained blank, and his eyes, dull and lifeless, carried no emotion. They looked like eyes that had forgotten how to shine.
Ash knew he needed interaction with people, not for any grand reason, but simply because he had endured silence for so long,
So he needed someone to speak to, someone to respond, someone who would talk and laugh and argue with him—he needed the presence of others, the kind of warmth that only friends could give.
Because if no one ever spoke to him, if no one ever reached out and touched the silence he was drowning in, there would never again be any spark returning to his lifeless eyes.
After waking up, he found out that he had ranked up, probably due to Soul Essence increasing little bit of his stats... And because of that, his growth trait, Codex of Creation, had also ranked up.
With that, one more ability of the trait has been unlocked.

Trait Name: Codex Of Creation
Rank: Growth (Apprentice)
Description:
It is a growth type trait that grows with user and allows the user to walk their own Unique path.
‣Protective Override:

‣Initiate of Runes:
-It allows the user to create skills using Runes. At Novice Rank, the user is granted 1 skill creation chance, with the number of chances increasing by 1 at each subsequent rank: 2 at Apprentice Rank, 3 at Adept Rank, and so on.
*-Skills can be created with only Runes.
‣Weapon Resonance:

He had gained a new ability—one that allowed him to resonate his weapon, with the Runes.
And the moment he chose Eclipse to resonate with the runes, something strange but expected happened.
The sword vanished from his hand and in the next breath, it appeared in his soul space.
It wasn’t just sitting there. Eclipse was changing. It was slowly transforming, surrounded by the symbols of his runes, as if it was being reshaped and nourished by their very essence.
The process would take time, but he could already feel it—this was going to make the weapon something far beyond its current form.
After that he did not waste any time, Ash moved forward and completed the sixth trial, known as the Trial of Skill.
He had to fight a wave of monsters, one after another, testing his skill in fighting. But for Ash, it wasn’t too difficult.
The monsters were only a little above his level—some barely two levels higher, so he managed to scale through them with calm ease.
After clearing the trial, he received his rewards: a prism shard, along with two pieces of unnamed equipment set — one mask and one cloak.
And when he equipped all six pieces together, they responded—merging in a way that formed something he hadn’t expected at all.
But he did not stop there, while still in the final trial ground, Ash moved towards the side, and pressed the left bottom corner of the wall.
After activating the mechanism, a small treasure box came out of the wall.
Opening it he found the thing he was here for.
Rune of Space.
He didn’t hesitate.
Without a moment of delay, he absorbed the Rune, and felt his body shake as a new connection was formed—another thread weaving itself into the growing network of his soul tree.
Then, using the [Skill Creation] ability, he shaped two new skills,

He created Transcendent Step as a form of escape skill, something that could be used when things went completely wrong.
With this ability, if he truly wanted, he could instantly return to the academy, even from the Dragon Continent, without anyone being able to stop him.
It was his safeguard, a way to retreat from overwhelming enemies when facing them head-on wasn’t an option.
As for why he created Absolute Concealment, the reason was simple.
It was for entering the Dragon’s Lair.
Ash thought that while he was already this deep into the continent, it would be a complete waste to not at least try for the Rune of Time.
He also felt there might be many treasures in there that could boost his stats.
After all in the Novel, Ray received the Rune in form of a deal with the dragons, of course the Dragons did not know that they had a Rune with them.
Thus, Ash did not know what were the things inside the vault of Dragons, but he was hopeful.
After all, dragons are also famous for hoarding treasures..
Basically, he had created these both skill for one purpose—stealing what needed to be stolen, as quietly and efficiently as possible.
That, however, wasn’t the only change Ash had gone through.
After absorbing the Rune of Space, his Primordial Core had reacted as well, and in response to the new symbol, it had unlocked one more ability.
**
Trait Name: Primordial Core
Rank: ??
Description: A mysterious core with no recorded data. It is the first of its kind, and its properties, abilities, and potential remain entirely unknown. No further analysis can be performed.
-Any damage inflicted upon the core is automatically restored over time, rendering it truly unbreakable.
-Enhances all mana-based attacks and spells, doubling their potency while transforming mana to its most purest form.
– Allows passive absorption of surrounding mana when cores mana is exhausted. Even during combat, mana will continue to be absorbed naturally. (NEW!!)
Note: The speed of absorption will depend on how complete the core is.

When Ash first looked at the newly unlocked ability, he was genuinely taken aback.
The concept of restoring mana passively, even while moving or in the middle of combat, was not just useful—it was incredible.
It was something that gave him a clear advantage, especially since this was not a feature commonly available to others.
While many mages and warriors relied on Breathing Techniques to recover their mana over time,
Ash had no such technique at the moment. This new ability was uniquely his, and it filled a gap he had.
Also, while experimenting with his skills, he noticed something else that surprised him.
When using [Transcendent Step] for teleporting short distances, the amount of mana used was almost negligible.
It barely made a dent in his reserves. But when he tried to teleport to a location near the academy, the cost was drastically higher—so much so that one of his mana cores had been fully drained in the process.
Even so, he realized that the mana consumption was still relatively low compared to others.
That was only possible because of the exceptional purity of his mana. If his mana hadn’t been so refined, the cost would’ve been far greater, maybe even beyond his ability to recover.
As for the anchor system, he discovered that using an anchor to teleport didn’t consume any mana.
However, the process of creating the anchor point in the first place did drain a considerable amount of mana, and even required a part of his willpower to stabilize it.
Then came the Concealment skill—Absolute Concealment.
With it, Ash could remain completely Concealed for an hour.
After that time, one of his cores would become empty, and the skill would automatically begin drawing mana from the second core.
But here was the true brilliance of the Primordial Core.
Because of it’s newly unlocked ability, it only took half an hour for his first core to completely recover its mana, even while the Concealment skill continued running from the second core.
That meant one thing—if Ash didn’t use both of his mana-intensive skills for a long duration, at the same time, he could maintain Absolute Concealment indefinitely.
He could become a ghost in the world, hiding from even the most powerful eyes.
And alongside all this, while acquiring the Rune of Space, Ash had also gained a new affinity—Space Affinity.
Let’s get going. I’ve already wasted enough time...
Ash muttered to himself as his gaze settled on the massive stone door before him.
He had arrived here shortly after waking up, and it hadn’t been hard to find the location.
All he had done was teleport to the highest visible point in the sky, scanning the vast lands from above, and then teleport again—this time directly into his destination.
All while Absolute Concealment continued to veil his presence.
Now, he stood deep within the heart of the Dragon Continent, a place long abandoned by time and untouched by the presence of life.
It was here that the ancient corpses of fallen dragons were laid to rest in silence and reverence.
This place was not just a graveyard, but a monument to their legacy...
The Tomb of the Dragons.
And also... the treasury of the Dragons.
And Ash had only one reason to be here— Treasure Hunting.
