Planet Pulverizer: A Mortal's Ascent-Chapter 359: Blood Demon
Chapter 359: Blood Demon
Sizzle, sizzle!
Not far from the farm, Lin Baizhan observed the flickering electric light emanating from within and faintly guessed what was happening.
No wonder Martial God Li has chosen to act now—he is having a breakthrough in his cultivation.
Lin Baizhan's confidence surged.
He couldn't help but grow more hopeful, wondering if today would finally be the day he led his people out of this prison of a domain.
In contrast, the several Top-Tier Astral Cultivators beside him watched the sporadic bursts of lightning with bewildered expressions. "What level exactly is the Martial God realm?
"That thunder can surely blast any Top-Tier Astral Cultivator out of their starlight form, can't it? High-Class Astral Cultivators will probably get killed before even approaching him."
"The stronger Martial God Li is, the greater our chance of escaping this prison," one of the Top-Tier Astral Cultivators said with a conflicted look. "The Great Moon is gone... but to be honest, royal honor means little to me now. If I can leave this place, I'd willingly live as an ordinary person."
His words found silent agreement among the others. They couldn't bear to endure this life for even a single day longer—days filled with despair, fear, and torment.
Lin Baizhan felt a pang of sadness at their words but said nothing; escaping from the Peach Blossom Secret Domain came first.

Inside the farm, the electric light flared briefly before settling into calm.
Li Pin felt a sense of joy as he sensed that the Celestial Magnetic Field was circulating endlessly in a self-sustaining manner.
However, he wasn't exactly surprised. He had expected this. He had long since carved out the system for his path, all the way to the Celestial Breaker level. All he was doing now was cultivating along this route he had laid out, putting his plans into practice.
Li Pin focused and sensed the changes.
[Qi and Blood: 314.14], [Mental Spirit: 98.65], [Magnetic Field: 30.01]
"I have been focusing on the Celestial Magnetic Field lately, neglecting the Celestial Body-Tempering Fist quite a bit. My qi and blood growth has slowed..." he noted.
Different focuses naturally led to varied attribute growth.
Unfortunately, he was just shy of breaking the hundred mark in his mental spirit attribute.
"Master Astral Cultivators who fuse their will with Atomic Will can trigger Mental Spirit Storms once their mental spirit exceeds a hundred... I certainly can't achieve that."
Li Pin understood his limits.
However, while he couldn't wield a spiritual storm like Master Astral Cultivators, his rising mental spirit attributes made his Clairvoyance gift even sharper. He had a feeling that he would soon touch the genetic level.
Once he reached that stage, he might unlock a way to transcend genetic limits without undergoing unwanted mutations. This could allow his qi and blood to soar like that of ferocious beasts and demonic creatures, reaching values of 1000, 2000, 3000, or beyond.
At that moment, Li Pin noticed something and chuckled. "They're waiting outside already. How eager."
With that, he took up the Sword of Destiny and, not bothering to tidy himself, left the farm.
Lin Baizhan quickly approached with a small group upon seeing him. "Congratulations, Martial God Li, on your advancement."
Li Pin glanced at the six Top-Tier Astral Cultivators by Lin Baizhan's side and said, "Just a minor gain."
These Top-Tier Astral Cultivators would fare much better against the fearsome demonic creatures. At the very least, they'd be able to take on their starlight forms when faced with an attack, protecting themselves.
"Let's go," Li Pin said.
Lin Baizhan did not dare to hesitate and quickly led the way toward the mountain peak barely a thousand meters high.
Before long, Li Pin spotted numerous traps and an array of underground escape tunnels stretching in all directions. These tunnels spanned dozens of miles and directly connected to the foot of the mountain, which had been designated a forbidden area.
The region still bore traces of past widespread collapses.
"Roar!"
As the group reached the mountain, a deep growl echoed from within.
Clearly, the mutated Lin Xuanyao had sensed the resonance from the approaching Astral Cultivators despite the mountain's barrier.
"Martial God Li, we'll draw this monster away. The rest is all up to you," Lin Baizhan stated firmly.
Li Pin nodded.
After a month of working together, they had more or less come to understand one another, building a basic trust. He didn't believe Lin Baizhan would gamble with the lives of over a thousand people in the Peach Blossom Secret Domain.
"Dig a tunnel!" Lin Baizhan ordered.
The six Top-Tier Astral Cultivators quickly got to work. However, their excavation lasted only a moment before a violent rumbling erupted from inside the mountain. The entire mountain shook as countless debris fell from the peak, including boulders weighing several tons.
"Looks like we don't need to dig a tunnel after all," Lin Baizhan said with a bitter smile.
Fear flickered in the eyes of the other six Top-Tier Astral Cultivators. They had long been aware of the mutated Lin Xuanyao and regarded the area within ten miles of the mountain as a forbidden zone.
Over thirty years ago, their elders had ventured deep into this region to retrieve the Heavenly Demon Divine Armor, but they never returned.
They had no other choice but to rebury the light-averse demonic creatures beneath the collapsed mountain.
Now, with hope of escape, the Top-Tier Astral Cultivators felt excitement. Yet, as the terrifying demonic creature wreaked havoc within the mountain, releasing a force that shook the entire range, they recalled the fear it had once instilled in them.
Lin Baizhan instinctively glanced at Li Pin. "Martial God Li, please do your best to retrieve the armor as soon as possible.... The underground labyrinth we've dug won't be able to hold it off for long."
Li Pin nodded.

Rumble, rumble!
During their brief moment of conversation, an indescribable, overwhelming force surged, lifting away hundreds, if not thousands, of tons of earth. Debris, mud, and vegetation exploded outward in all directions.
What followed was a monster over six meters tall, with two heads and blood-red skin, leaping out from the mountain.
The sunlight seemed to infuriate it.
Seeing the Astral Cultivators ahead, it let out a furious roar and lunged toward them, despite its disdain for the light.
The backlash from the explosion made the ground beneath it crumble like it had been hit by artillery, sending countless rocks of all sizes flying in every direction.
The terrifying qi and blood emanating from the creature was almost palpable. Neither the Pale Boarman nor the Dark Scorpion-Bodied Serpent could compare to it; only the Legendary Ghoul could rival its strength.
If the Pale Boarman had qi and blood exceeding 1000 and the Legendary Ghoul a qi and blood of 4000, 5000, then this blood-red, two-headed monster's qi and blood was about 3000.
A qi and blood of 3000 was precisely the threshold for a legendary creature!
A Top-Tier Astral Cultivator gasped, his face paling. "The Blood Demon!"
Lin Baizhan roared. "Run!"
At Lin Baizhan's shout, the six Top-Tier Astral Cultivators shook off their fear and dashed at lightning speed toward the pre-dug underground tunnels that branched out in multiple directions.
Before entering, Lin Baizhan cast a hopeful glance at Li Pin.
They had placed all their hopes on him.
Li Pin wasted no time. After Lin Baizhan and the others lured away the mutated Lin Xuanyao, he rushed toward the cave with the fastest speed he could muster.
Thanks to him being a Martial God, the blood-red monster didn't even glance at him, its focus entirely on Lin Baizhan as it charged forward.
Just as Lin Baizhan entered the underground passage, the monster descended like a meteor!
The ground collapsed violently in a radius of a hundred meters. All the tunnels and palaces in that area crumbled.
Fueled by its terrifying qi and blood, the monster exhibited unbelievable speed and strength. It was so powerful it seemed like a living nuclear bomb.
Each of its full-force strikes released an appalling amount of energy, capable of devastating tens of thousands of square meters.
The shockwaves spread outwards, through hundreds of thousands of square meters.
At that moment, Li Pin no longer cared about the battle behind him. He followed the path the creature just created and rushed inward at full speed while amplifying his spiritual perception to the limit.
He scanned for any astral energy fluctuations. However, he sensed nothing; instead, a cold power constantly seeped into his body, as if trying to erode him.
"Dark magic."
While there was no dark magic outside the Peach Blossom Secret Domain, it existed in this cave. However, this level of dark magic was clearly not enough to cause Li Pin to mutate.
He quickly searched the cave.
After several seconds, he had swept through the area but found no strong fluctuations of astral energy.
Great Moon had put high hopes in the Heavenly Demon Divine Armor, so it had to be a legendary equipment, and the astral energy of such equipment often matched that of Top-Tier Astral Cultivators.
A thought flashed through Li Pin's mind. The Heavenly Demon Divine Armor, like the Sword of Destiny, isn't pure astral equipment!
Maybe it's a demonic weapon powered by dark magic!
Following this line of thought, Li Pin turned again, following his perception of dark magic, and soon arrived at a massive cavern.
The dark magic in this cavern was noticeably denser than in other areas.
It could even be said that the dark magic in other places seeped out from this region.
This place was likely the source of the dark magic.
Almost as soon as he saw this concentrated area of dark magic, a piece of armor that should have been golden but had turned dark gold from dark magic's corrosion appeared before him.
It seemed to have a life of its own, suspended in the air, propped up by invisible dark magic.
Countless dark magic continued to seep into it, but the faint astral energy emanating from within the armor not only prevented the magic from corroding it but transformed it into an energy source, making it look even more extraordinary.
"The Heavenly Demon Divine Armor!"
"Roar!"
Just as Li Pin laid eyes on this divine armor, the terrifying monster outside seemed to sense something. It let out an enraged roar and charged back at great speed, its volcanic-like aura surging around it.
Li Pin rushed forward and donned the dark gold armor.
