Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 129: PRS 30 Liona
Inside Kyai hut, the fifty-eight-year-old man and his wife were talking to Nura, who had come to visit them, about the incident that had caused an uproar in the village of Satarara over the past two days.
"Kyai, I am really worried about this situation," said Nura with a long sigh, his face looking tired and anxious. "Many people have come to harm because of seeing Lina. Is there nothing you can do, Kyai?"
Kyai shook his head slowly, his face full of understanding but firm. "Mrs. Nur, I understand your concern. But in this case, I cannot interfere too much."
"Why is that, Kyai?" asked Nur with disappointment in her voice, her eyes full of hope.
"Because the decision to wear a susuk is an individual’s freedom, Ma’am. It is a personal choice," explained Kyai as he adjusted his sarong. "And as for the people who have come to harm after seeing Lina, I cannot simply blame the woman. It all comes back to each person’s own awareness."
Kyai wife, who was sitting next to him, added softly, "Actually, this is a test for all of us, Mrs. Nur. A test to strengthen our faith."
"My wife is right," Kyai Jamal nodded. "So in this matter, I cannot interfere too deeply. It’s not because I don’t care, but because there are boundaries that I must respect as a servant of Allah."
Nur, who heard Kyai explanation, felt disappointed, her face turned gloomy. Her shoulders slumped, a sign that she was almost in despair. Even so, she did not blame the leader of the Islamic boarding school because in this case there was no law that could convict Lina. She bowed her head for a moment, trying to understand Kyai position while holding back the tears that began to well up in her eyes.
Seeing the disappointment clearly reflected on Nur’s face, Kyai felt pity. His heart was touched by the suffering of the residents who came to ask for help. He then got up and took a piece of paper from the drawer of his old wooden desk. With careful movements, he wrote a few lines of sacred sentences on the paper.
"Mrs. Nur, although I cannot do much for Lina’s case, I can give you this," said Kyai as he handed her the paper with both hands, a sign of respect. "This is a note containing several short letters and verses that can be used to protect us from all the evil deeds of jinn, demons, devils, and their followers."
Nur took the paper with trembling hands, her eyes shining with hope. "Thank you, Kyai," she said softly.
"Read it every time you finish praying, Ma’am," continued Kyai in a dignified but gentle voice. "Especially before sunset and before bed. Don’t miss a single day, because those are the times when supernatural beings are most active."
"Yes, Kyai. I will do it sincerely," replied Nur, clutching the paper given to her by Kyai as if it were the most precious treasure.
"God willing, with this practice, God will always protect us from the evil deeds of all kinds of jinn and their followers," said Jamal with a reassuring smile. He patted Nur’s shoulder gently. "Believe me, the power of our prayers and remembrance of God is far stronger than any kind of black magic or charm."
Hearing Kyai confident words, Nur’s heart felt a little relieved. The burden on her chest seemed to lessen a little because she had something to hold on to, at least something she could apply in her home so that her husband would be protected from the danger caused by Lina’s presence and her use of the charm.
"Thank you very much, Kyai. May Allah reward you and your family for your kindness," Nur said sincerely, clutching the paper tightly to her chest, feeling warmth in her heart.
Just as Nur was about to get up to say goodbye and go home, suddenly the sound of a motorcycle speeding towards the cottage courtyard was heard. The sound was deafening in the quiet afternoon. Sueng ran breathlessly towards Kyai house, his face pale and his breathing labored. Sweat dripped down his forehead and soaked his clothes.
"Kyai! Kyai!" he shouted from a distance in a panicked tone that made everyone in the cottage turn around with surprised faces.
"It’s serious, Kyai! It’s serious!" Sueng continued to run while waving his arms wildly. "Lina... Lina is possessed! Her condition is very serious, Kyai! No one dares to approach her!"
Kyai , his wife, and Nur, who saw Sueng coming in a hurry, immediately stood up from their seats. Sueng immediately ran inside after parking his motorcycle carelessly on the cottage terrace, almost hitting a flower pot there.
"Oh my God, Sueng! What’s going on?" exclaimed Kyai wife with a worried look on her face, her hand clutching her chest in shock.
"Calm down first, eng," said Kyai as he approached Sueng, who was still panting. His breathing was labored. "You won’t be able to explain anything if you’re still breathing like this. Slow down first."
Kyai held Sueng’s shoulders firmly, trying to calm him down with a soothing gaze. "Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it for a moment, then exhale slowly through your mouth. Follow me, slowly."
Kyai practiced breathing several times and then exhaled slowly to Sueng. "Inhale... hold... exhale... Now, one more time. Inhale... exhale... Slowly, no need to rush."
Sueng followed Kyai instructions. His chest was still rising and falling rapidly but was starting to regulate. His face was slowly regaining its color.
"Well, is that better? Can you breathe normally now?" asked Kyai , patting Sueng’s shoulder gently.
Sueng nodded slowly, still regulating his breathing.
Seeing that Sueng was calmer and his face was no longer as pale as before, Kyai immediately asked him to tell him what was really going on. "Now try to tell me slowly, what happened to Lina?"
"It was like this, Kyai," Sueng began to tell the story, his voice still slightly trembling, his hands gesturing as he explained. "Lina suddenly screamed in pain at Laus’s house. Her body rolled around on the floor like someone possessed, saying, ’Hot, hot! Her voice was terrifying, Kyai. Anyone who tried to approach or help her was immediately slapped and scratched by her with extraordinary strength. We were all confused about what to do, Kyai! No one dared to approach her again!"
"Oh God, may Allah protect us all," muttered Kyai wife, covering her mouth with both hands, her eyes wide.
Hearing Sueng’s detailed and terrifying story, Kyai immediately went inside for a moment to perform wudu and change his clothes, preparing himself to face this unusual situation. He knew this was not a case of ordinary possession from the way Sueng described it.
After coming out wearing a clean white sarong and black cap, his face looking solemn and ready, Kyai immediately got on Sueng’s motorcycle. "Let’s go there now. Don’t be late. The longer we wait, the more dangerous it could be."
Nur, who had been dropped off by her son, also came home because she was curious about Sueng’s story regarding Lina’s current condition. "I’ll come too, Kyai," she said as she hurried towards her motorcycle.
Inside Laus’s house, the atmosphere was getting more and more crowded and chaotic. Many residents had come to see what was happening there. The house, which was usually quiet, was now packed with curious neighbors. They were crowding in front of the doors and windows.
As before, anyone who tried to help Lina would be slapped until their hands were red and sore, causing everyone to stop trying to help and just let the woman continue rolling around on the cold ceramic floor. Some people even had swollen hands from Lina’s incredibly hard slaps.
To prevent Lina’s body from bumping into things, Laus and several others deliberately brought the guest chairs outside so that the living room was empty, allowing Lina to move freely without fear of bumping into things. The small table and vase of flowers had also been secured.
"What exactly happened to Lina? Why is she like this?" asked one of the gossipers, whispering into her neighbor’s ear, her eyes never leaving Lina.
"Maybe she ate something forbidden from her charm, which is why she’s like that," said another, nodding in agreement. "Or maybe her charm is angry because she did something forbidden by the shaman who put it on her."
"It’s a pity, really. She looked so beautiful this morning," added another resident, shaking his head.
They continued to gossip while watching Lina, who seemed possessed, writhing on the floor and screaming "Hot! Hot!" in a heart-wrenching voice. No one dared to approach her because anyone who did would be scratched and hit by Lina with supernatural strength, so everyone could only watch her with various expressions—some were afraid, some felt sorry for her, and some even looked satisfied to see Lina’s suffering.
Before long, Kyai, riding pillion with Sueng, arrived in a hurry, his motorcycle stopping with a loud screech of brakes. Everyone immediately made way for him respectfully, as if making way for a king.
"Kyai has arrived! Alhamdulillah," exclaimed one of the residents with relief, clapping his hands.
Kyai, seeing Lina’s condition, immediately observed the situation carefully. His sharp eyes saw something that ordinary eyes could not see. He felt a strong energy in the room.
"Sueng, please fetch some moringa leaves, which usually grow abundantly in the residents’ backyards. Quickly! Get some fresh ones!" Kyai ordered firmly, pointing towards the back of the house.
"Yes, Kyai!" Sueng immediately ran out enthusiastically.
"And you," Kyai pointed to several residents standing near him, "please prepare clean water and a large plastic basin. And also a glass of water that I will recite a prayer over to be given to Lina to drink. Quickly!"
While the other villagers hurriedly prepared everything Kyai had asked for with enthusiasm, the cleric stood in the doorway, observing Lina from a distance. His hands held prayer beads, his lips moving slowly as he recited prayers.
Earlier, upon arriving in front of Laus’s house, Kyai had already sensed a different aura coming from inside the house. There was a strong and unfamiliar energy that gave him goosebumps. After looking inside more closely, he saw an old woman wearing a kebaya and black sarong staring at him from the corner of the room. Only Kyai could see her. The two communicated through their eyes, a deep spiritual communication. Kyai nodded slowly, and Kyai knew what steps to take next.
The fire that Lura’s great-grandmother had given to Lina was intended to melt the mystical substances in the woman’s body. And now it was Kyai job to remove them, so that the woman could no longer influence Laus and disrupt the harmony of Lura’s small family, which was already on the verge of collapse.
"Hosh...hosh...hosh...." Sueng came running with his hands full of moringa leaves, breathing heavily.
"Is this enough, Kyai?" asked Sueng as he caught his breath, sweat dripping from his forehead onto his cheeks.
Seeing that Sueng had picked a sufficient amount of fresh moringa leaves, Kyai Jamal immediately grabbed them with satisfaction. "That’s enough, very good. Thank you, eng," he replied while checking the freshness of the leaves one by one.
Laus, seeing Sueng exhausted, immediately handed him a glass of water, which the man quickly gulped down, almost choking because he drank too fast.
"Slowly, eng. Don’t rush," Laus admonished, patting Sueng’s back as he coughed.
"Thank you, Laus," said Sueng with a look of relief as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, still breathing heavily.
Sueng, who had also fallen under the spell of Lina’s charm, felt pain and heartache seeing the woman who had once captivated him now rolling on the floor with an expression of terrible pain. He never expected to see Lina in such a state. Without realizing it, he volunteered to fetch Kyai Jamal, unaware that his actions would cause Lina to hate him deeply later on. Lina would blame his interference for causing the diamond charm she had painstakingly and expensively obtained to vanish before her goal of becoming Laus’s second wife was achieved.
After obtaining the moringa leaves in his hands, Kyai briefly placed them in water in a basin that he had previously recited prayers over with reverence. His mouth moved quickly as he recited various sacred verses. Then, with practiced and confident movements, he immediately struck Lina’s body, which was still writhing in pain, evenly all over.
"Bismillahirrahmanirrahim," said Kyai every time he struck Lina’s body with the moringa leaves, from her feet to her head.
The last blow was delivered to her face, which took the longest because it was considered to have the most black magic compared to other parts of the body. Kyai struck her patiently and diligently.
As soon as the moringa leaves touched her body, Lina no longer felt the heat she had felt before. Her screams of pain slowly subsided into soft moans. Several shiny objects slowly appeared on her face and several parts of her body, coming out from under her skin like magnets being pulled out, causing several curious people to come closer to get a better look, their eyes wide.
"Subhanallah! So this is what diamond and gold implants look like," said one of the residents in surprise, as it was the first time he had seen implants with his own eyes. "Look, some are like diamonds! And those are like pure gold! They’re so shiny!"
"No wonder Lina is so beautiful, she has so many implants," whispered another resident as he counted the number of implants that had come out.
After ensuring that everything had come out perfectly with nothing left behind, with one swift and steady movement of his hand, all the implants that had been visible on Lina’s body, especially her face, suddenly disappeared without a trace. Kyai Jamal took them and stored them quickly. And the aura of glory and beauty that had been radiating from Lina vanished in an instant, like a candle blown out by the wind.
Now Lina’s appearance was very unsightly. Some residents even shuddered in horror at the sight of her and took a few steps back. Not only was her face full of pockmarks and dark spots and dull, her skin, which had previously looked firm and smooth, now looked dull and flabby due to a lack of exercise, so that her body, which had previously looked proportional and charming, was no longer visible. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Her appearance is now even below that of Ati, who is ten years older than her, whose body and skin still look firm because she is used to carrying firewood from the forest, drawing water from the well, and lifting several items in her daily work, so the sagging muscles due to aging are not visible. The same goes for her face. Although not white, it looks healthy with a dark brown color like most Asian skin.
Lina, who is still very weak, does not know that after all the implants in her body have been removed, her appearance is now very terrible and far from beautiful. She obediently drank the water that Kyai Jamal had recited prayers over, taking several sips with the help of Ati, who supported her limp, lifeless body.
"Finish it, child. This will cleanse the remaining negative energy in your body. Drink slowly," said Kyai softly as he helped hold the glass.
Seeing that the excitement was over and there was nothing left to watch, everyone returned to their homes one by one with various comments and whispers, leaving only Sueng standing motionless in front of Laus’s house, shocked by what he had just seen. The beautiful woman who had made him fall head over heels was now a completely different and terrifying figure.
"Eng, why are you still standing there like a statue? The event is over," Ati said loudly as she patted Sueng’s shoulder hard. "Let’s take Lina back to her village. You said you would take her home, didn’t you? Don’t go back on your word!"
Sueng, who had previously boasted that he would take Lina home after she was healed by Kyai, could not go back on his word. With a pale face and reluctant steps, his legs feeling heavy, he was forced to take Lina, whose beauty and charm had disappeared, back to the village of S.
"Thank you, Kyai," said Laus, shaking hands with Kyai Jamal, his hands trembling because he was still in shock. "Without your help, Kyai, I don’t know what would have happened to Lina. If something had happened at my house, I don’t know how I would have faced her family. I am truly indebted to you, Kyai."
Laus felt truly relieved and grateful. His eyes welled up with tears. He didn’t know what would have become of him if something bad had happened to Lina while she was at his house, so the arrival of Kyai made him feel deeply grateful to Allah.
"No need to thank me, Laus," said Kyai humbly with a sincere smile, his eyes radiating wisdom. "It is my duty as a servant of Allah to bring those who have strayed back to the path that Allah approves of. May this be a lesson for all of us not to be easily dazzled by the false and superficial beauty of the world."
Kyai patted Laus on the shoulder fatherly, his smile warm and reassuring. "Take good care of your family, Mas. Your wife and children are a trust that you must guard with all your heart. Don’t be tempted by the temporary charms of the world."
"Insyaallah, Kyai. I promise to be more careful and not repeat this mistake again," replied Laus with teary eyes, full of regret for what almost happened to his family. His hand still held Kyai hand tightly, not wanting to let go.
