Overpowered Wizard-Chapter B4 Ch18: Desolation Atmospheric Para
Cal came swinging, his muscles expanding, rippling with an overt strength that pushed his profile to the extremes. Zarian could read all of this through his identifying trait and because of his lion bloodline skill. The moment Cal’s hand raked across the air and swung out supernatural claws, Zarian made a statement by staying put in the air.
He formed a tower of darkness that was ten-feet thick and pierced the atmosphere of the Mega World. It could be seen from halfway across the world like a godly needle that would stab through the world’s flesh. Cal’s power collided with the thin dark tower, and the following eruption roared far and wide. But the tower remained.
Cal circled around and guffawed. “Whoa, man, this is way stronger than I expected. Did you level up that fast just for me?”
“No, I didn’t intend to.” Zarian shrugged. “I just have to get a little more serious. My family’s life is at stake. That and my friends.”
“Man, forget that stuff!” Cal balled his hands into big, knobby fists. His aura flickered around him like a wild beast, all bristling fur, claws, and teeth. His actual teeth, especially the incisors, grew longer. His eyes flashed with bestial light, and his hair grew longer. “I didn’t understand it at first. Why I’m here. What we’re doing. But it struck me like a lightning bolt. We’re … Ultra Gods. And this little place is for us to fool around and prove ourselves!”
“This little place is home to a lot of people,” Zarian said, arms folded, tail flicking behind him.
“Forget them! Little people are little people! It’s all about us!”
Zarian’s frown deepened. “You know what. I’m done talking. Let’s just fight.”
Cal burst forward and slashed at Zarian’s head with reality-tearing aura claws. The air screamed with their passing. Zarian looked at the incoming attack with an impassioned expression before the air bloomed with sorcery and aura. His grimoires flipped their pages, rattled, growled, and made ghoulish sounds as he cast multiple spells and activated a barrage of powers.
Cal shivered before kicking off the air and flipping backward. A thin, dark beam sliced through the spot where he was. Miles away, three thrones slid off the bases and crashed into the land after being cut down by the thin dark beam.
Cal kicked off the air and redirected to attack Zarian again, but his eyes widened when he sensed further danger. He looked up and saw the sky spiraling with red desolation and reality-screeching magic that went beyond mythical and was of an unknown quality.
This spell came from combining Mega Desolation Blood Inferno and Atmospheric Torture Cannon. The result turned the sky above their heads into a whirlpool of gathering power that promised torment and destruction. But it was still charging up.
Cal had only three options: [1] Interrupt the wizard. [2] Flee fast and far. [3] Or tank a hit that would make even full-blown universe-tiered gods afraid. Cal chose the option that made the most sense to him: INTERRUPT THE WIZARD!
Cal roared as he swung out a thousand air slashes in the time it would’ve taken him to swing one attack. The air slashes were all as large as airplane wings and flew at rapid speeds straight at Zarian or from different angles. A few hundred slashes even curved around to attack Zarian from behind.
“Fall,” Zarian said, filling the air with gravity magic.
Purple sorcery diagrams and purple magic lines formed in the air, encompassing all of Cal’s attacks and the Everclaw Ultra God. Then, just like how Zarian demanded it, the weight of his magic brought all of Cal’s attacks down into an instant fall.
The sheer change in velocity was so sharp that the closest attack from Cal was only an inch away from hitting Zarian before falling straight into the Mega World’s surface. The ground below became diced up into countless chunks, and Cal shouted in frustration as Zarian’s gravity magic sent him plummeting down.
The Everclaw Ultra God gritted his sharp teeth. His aura snapped and hissed and clawed with even more ferocity. He used his powers to slash through the gravity magic, breaking himself free of the initial rush. But then another diagram and line of gravity magic slammed into him. He slashed through that as well. But another and another appeared to keep him falling.
Cal erupted with a new level of wild rage and unleashed ten thousand slashes in the time it would take him to slash once. He followed through with more slashes, chopping apart the lines and diagrams of purple gravity magic like an industrial blender. He blasted his way free and went straight for Zarian again in the air.
Far above them both, the tumultuous black magic spell continued to churn with a red desolation and torturous promise. Cal raced against the clock to get closer to Zarian before taking a deep, chest-inflating breath, and releasing a roar that came out of his mouth like a hyper beam.
Each particle inside the hyper beam was like high-energy claws that wanted to rend flesh, bone, magic, and even reality. The System made shrilling sounds as the attack carved straight toward Zarian.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
“Fall harder,” Zarian said, with more conviction, the power of the Lion Prince booming from his voice.
His gravity magic increased drastically. The air became warped and weird and eldritch as he weaved his void magic with his black magic.
The gravity magic didn’t just slam into Cal’s hyper beam attack, it forced it to droop downward and spiral into a black void hole rimmed with dark purple gravity. The particles in the hyper beam burst with violent slashes that attacked Zarian’s void-gravity combo, coming out half-successful. But even if the hyper beam could destroy the void hole, Zarian remained undamaged and uninterrupted.
The desolation torture cannon made a long gong-like sound that could be heard across the entire Mega World. Cal was cursing under his breath as he became the main target of a powerful spell of an unknown quality. It almost seemed like the hells had taken over the heavens and were going to bear down unforgiving destruction focused completely on Cal.
Fortunately and unfortunately for Cal, something else intervened.
Para ripped her way free of the void through the void hole.
Zarian was forced to fling himself out of the way as the monstrous and berserk parasite woman crashed through the air and struck the unknown spell above. In most cases, that would’ve annihilated a Level 275 Champion Ranker. But against Para in her 100% berserk state, she didn’t get destroyed. Instead, she consumed the unknown spell. She engorged herself on it, taking it within herself, absorbing all of its destructive and torturous power. 𝑅𝘼ΝŎ𝐁Ɛs
It was at that moment Zarian sensed he could do something that most would find inadvisable. Granted, he’d done a lot of inadvisable things. He’d allowed Bianca to get taken over by traditional good. He’d unleashed the monster inside to break the system, forcing the hands of his lineage to reverse the damage and bring down the hammer. He’d put himself and others in danger multiple times and barely scraped by without causing irreparable damage.
But for once, Zarian was confident that this decision was for the best. He looked inwardly and focused his aura where Para connected to his soul as a skill. Then, he did the thing he’d mapped out and practiced with Ruvaria for months. He disconnected Para as his skill.
Para released a scream that tore across the Mega World sky. It reached out into the cosmic space between worlds and realms. Then she stopped screaming and became what she was always meant to be.
Her own person.
“What have you done?” Cal asked, spooked.
“Technically, I’ve created life. So, I’m like one of the most accomplished men out there. A destroyer and a creator,” Zarian said, chuckling. “But on the flip side, we’re about to face off against a new Ultra Goddess.”
“... Ultra Goddess?” Cal blinked. He pointed up at Para’s blazing red form. “That can’t be an Ultra Goddess. Wasn’t she a skill? What the heck did you do?”
“Dude, I’m just running on dark vibes right now! Welcome to my life!” Zarian laughed. Yeah, he had to get serious, but he still couldn’t help but cause some chaos.
Then Para came down like a red god-killing bomb for him and Cal. Both of them felt her power, and it was beyond something trapped by the boundaries of the Infinita Star System or any universe-based system. It was a far higher tier. It was the birth of a new ultra power. So much so that Para might even have her own bloodline skill.
And both Zarian and Cal were going to face the brunt of it.

“It’s time we go god-killing, dear,” Lucy said, leading Valerie out of her sanctum with their true divine bodies.
The Shadowfell Goddess remained dressed in dark scarves, gothic robes, big heavy boots, and more material that covered her entire body. The Lovewar Goddess followed her while draped in amazonian armor that only covered the essentials. There was a round shield on one arm, and a spear in her other hand.
“I thought we were going to wait until the end of the tournament?” Valerie hissed. “And was that old man really an Ultra God? Was what he said true? Is our entire universe held by the family of the Darkruns?”
“There is no more time for questions, Valerie. The tournament is mostly compromised, but it’s serving as a decent distraction. Henceforth, the jackals will come out to strike,” Lucy said. “I can taste their intentions. In fact, here’s four of them right now.”
God Land was the home of the top gods. The high-quality of the powers and the immense reach of the stats here were astronomical. The true representation of the beings who lived here couldn’t be represented fully anywhere else below God Land.
The Star Core shone brighter than any sun across all the realms of Infinita, its center golden white while surrounded by a rainbow halo. Thunderous oceans clamored up at burning clouds that twisted like living nebulae filled with newly born cosmic bodies. Voracious trees clawed and snapped their teeth at monstrous angles that roamed for the unworthy. God Rankers battled other God Rankers with blows that could demolish many lesser worlds.
In the middle of all of that, in front of Valerie’s sanctum, Killall, Goldhound, Purgehunt, and Kingsblood stood to face off against Shadowfell and Lovewar.
Lucy turned her veiled head left. Then she turned it right. She let out a questioning hum.
“No, Sinfeast?” she asked. “I supposed that’s for the best. I would like to present him as an offering to my husband, nonetheless. I’m sure he would enjoy that.”
“Cut it, Luciana,” Kingsblood spat with an aristocratic snarled. “We are not to be pieces on the board played with by your Ultra Gods!”
“Just kill her. She’s not like the Darkruns,” Killall growled, blood dripping off his big, ogre-like body.
“It’s best if we seal her and use her as a bargaining chip!” Kingsblood shouted.
“And what say you, Valerie Lovewar?” Purgehunt asked. “Is this how you claim your place closer to the Ultra Gods, licking their feet like a lap dog? Is this how you made your way up here and took the seat of a good god?”
Valerie’s grip on her spear tensed before relaxing. Instead of replying, she stomped forward, shaking the divine ground. She hunkered into a fighting stance, her silver eyes flashing while looking over the rim of her shield. She set her spear on the rim and looked ready to engage.
“I think Valerie’s set on being faithful to me. Shall we–” Lucy tilted her head aside as a javelin thrown by Purgehunt flew through the air for her face.
It missed and struck Valerie’s sanctum, bursting down the walls and killing many of the divine beings inside. Following that, Killall teleported from the ground and into Valerie’s sanctum where death was his to consume for more power. Goldhound reached forth to steal powers. Kingsblood made a decree that empowered the older gods facing off against the two young goddesses.
Lucy sobbed, shedding a few tears. And the Infinita Star System placed down a divine cage around the fight, hoping to contain the damage that would come.
