Overpowered Wizard-Chapter B4 Ch11: Okay, I’m Ready
A powerful wind swept over the throne-heavy lands of Mega World Hashmal. Zarian reached up with one hand and gripped the brim of his Intense Arcana Hat, the fabric shimmering with red-blue colors as the skill-based item empowered him.
His dark eyes, like the deepest depths of the void, looked out from under the brim as the stranger made his approach on a white cloud that reminded Zarian of the Flying Nimbus.
In front of him, Para stood with all four arms folded. Her back appeared broad, though she had the figure to match it.
She was growing very well and taking more responsibility as the main shield and spear for the wizard. There was always the option of fusing back together … but Zarian didn’t want to do that.
It hadn’t been mentioned much, but he was certain Para liked the separation and autonomy of her own body.
Zarian needed more practice in being a wizard without the insane physical buffs. That all depended on what the stranger wanted.
“You may kneel now,” said the somewhat masculine figure.
He had grayish white skin similar to the chalky, salty throne-continent Zarian and Para stood on. His face was smooth, oval, with big almond-shaped golden eyes that contained multiple irises.
He was dressed in billowing robes and sashes that clung to him loosely like silk. No weapons in sight. His drooping ears were loaded with jewelry, each ornamental piece shining with potent magic.
The guy reminded Zarian of a Hindu figure of sorts. Or some type of Buddhist super monk deity. Either way, his request for Zarian and Para to kneel was met with the usual attitude, but with extra flair.
“Eh, sorry, y’know how it is? When you’re carrying an entire universe on your shoulders, the knees can get bad. And I don’t do the whole kneeling thing on the first meeting,” Zarian explained. “Even then, you’re not the type I’ll kneel for. Usually, it’s for something sweet.”
“He’s talking about oral sex. Specifically, with females of similar humanoid designs,” Para said with a tough expression on her face.
“It’s funnier when you don’t explain it too hard,” Zarian said.
“I didn’t want him to be confused and think you’re offering the male equivalent of oral sex. I’ve done enough research to understand that isn’t appealing for you … even though I could always use more research material,” Para said.
“One of these days, when you’re fully separate from me and your own person, I can’t wait to see how you handle all of that if you ever go down that road,” Zarian said smarmily.
“If I ever do, I’ll probably handle it better than you. I’ll have all of your follies in my research notes.”
“Ouch. But fair.”
“Your constant and crude prattling has gone off long enough,” said the stranger, his multiple irises shining with a bright golden anger.
“Oh, trust me buddy, we haven’t scratched the surface on how crude and long I could get,” Zarian said, chuckling.
The stranger carried on. “You have come upon this Mega World where the children of the gods rule supreme, and you dare disrespect me. I know you are a Tournament Contestant, and you could’ve received my aid with the right decorum, but now I might as well remove you from the tournament myself.”
“I don’t think he knows who I am?” Zarian said to Para.
“Then he’s an even greater fool,” Para growled.
“I need not know.” The stranger rose high into the air on his cloud. “You must know that I am above you and shall smite you!”
“WAIT!” Zarian shouted suddenly, leaning further on Lion Prince. “Let me finish going over my profile gains.”
“Why should I allow that?”
“Well, this might be the most powerful I’ll become. Wouldn’t it be more terrifying for me to use all of my power to fight you and end up being destroyed anyway? Truly, there is no worse punishment than that,” Zarian said slyly.
Para looked back at him with her scaly eyebrow raised. She doubted that this would work.
“Very well! It would make the venture here more worthwhile once you understand how hopeless your situation is,” said the stranger. “Let it be known that Agni the Sky Flame Storm isn’t one without patience even when smiting tournament fools.” ṘâNố𝔟Ěs
While Agni waited above, feeling proud of himself, Zarian snickered under his breath as Para gave him a surprised look. There were a couple of major benefits from being in Mega World Hashmal, and one of those dealt with the Lion Prince.
The flow of causality backed Zarian more, staying close to him, while in a challenging environment. Lion Prince didn’t have as much free-ranging reign to spread and do whatever it liked outside of Zarian’s space.
That meant Zarian was more cut off than usual, but Lion Prince was easier to wield in shorter and quicker bursts.
Agni played the overly arrogant role of waiting to smite, and Zarian picked up where he left off on powering up Para and himself.
<Defeat the Super Hunter Gorer Dungeon (Mythical): You went into a dungeon that nearly killed you and killed it in return. And you did so in a convincing fashion that was frightening to behold. There aren’t that many who accomplished the elimination of a super dungeon, let alone ones as hard as the Hunter Gorer. +100 Willpower, +100 Strength, +100 Agility, +100 Wonder, +100 Mysticism.>
“Eh, I would’ve preferred a concentrated stat dump at this point.” Zarian kept talking with Para even without the use of his voice. They had several ways to communicate just fine while keeping others unaware.
“You need more Agility. Even with speed-enhancing abilities, more Agility won’t go to waste for you,” Para said firmly.
“I guess I’ll have to keep that in mind when I distribute the Free Points.”
<World-to-World Wormhole Travelers (Mythical): There are few in the Master Ranks capable of creating wormholes without eliminating themselves. Apparently, you’re one of those few monsters. You’re getting too creative with how you can scare the System with your parameter-breaking ways. +450 Mysticism.>

“Now that’s more my speed,” Zarian cheered. “I love Mysticism, and Mysticism loves me.”
“More than me,” Para challenged.
“Now, now, relax. I didn’t say that.”
Para’s serious expansion broke into a fit of giggles. “Just playing.”
“Hurry down there. It’s almost close to meditation time, and I shall not have my day ruined by lowly mongrels such as yourselves,” Agni said from the windy air above.
Zarian and Para shared a knowing look before continuing.
<Avoid an Ultra God Fight (Mythical): WOW! You actually did something thoughtful, and we appreciate you for it! Here! Take this now! +450 Agility!>
“Maybe I should avoid fights more often,” Zarian mused.
Para shot him a disbelieving look.
Zarian returned that look with a flat expression.
Then they both cracked a smile and chuckled.
<Reach the Second Round (Mythical): Surprisingly, out of the 36 billion contestants, only a little over 10 thousand made it into the Second Round. You are among the 2.77777778e-7 to make it! +600 Free Points!>
“Man, the System has never made it rain this many points before,” Zarian said.
“I think it wants to avoid other complications. No combiners yet. No new powers. I would’ve preferred that, but raw stat gains are good for our foundations.”
“Makes it much easier to be in a Mega World, honestly,” Zarian said before checking the last achievement.
<Tournament Points Leaderboard Monster (Unknown): You didn’t just come out ahead, you didn’t allow it to get close. Thus, you get your first unknown achievement. +1500 Free Points.>
Zarian’s mouth dropped open.
Para’s eyes flashed with shock.
The wizard blinked his eyes rapidly before glancing up at Agni in the sky. That guy up there was a Champion Ranker, right? Didn’t that mean he would have an achievement or two that rewarded this much?
“This fight might actually be a hard one,” Zarian muttered.
“If the Tournament Contestants don’t end up killing each other, the creatures of this world might kill them first,” Para murmured.
Just before Zarian could distribute the Free Points and get a final tally, something new came up. It was a late bloomer, and it was shocking to see.
<Achievement rewarded! Growing Skill Daughter (Unopened).>
<Achievement opened!>
<Growing Skill Daughter (Unknown): Let’s be honest. You have a skill that’s becoming more of her own entity. There’s the eventuality that this might lead to something, well, unprecedented. The fact that she ate a super dungeon core is on the list of things that shouldn’t happen, but happened anyway. Para’s growth and changes are being closely monitored. Because of this, we’ve noticed a trait has come up, so here’s the achievement to go along with it. Rising Parasite Free Roam (Unknown).>
<Rising Parasite Free Roam (Unknown): This trait is unknown.>
“Father …” Para trailed off before finding her voice again, though softer. “Even the System recognizes me.”
“Brick by brick. Step by step. Let me finalize this, and then we’ll feed you another fulfilling fool to keep a growing girl like you happy.”
And to get him some more stats and achievements.
Zarian didn’t need to save up on gains here. He could get them as he went, and he needed to do that before the godlings realized his true identity and gathered en masse.
Zarian made sure to keep Agility in mind while pushing his favorite stats. The growth was … absurd, and he was leaning on Lion Prince to keep him cool and on his feet instead of collapsing into a heap on the floor.
All of those points were rapidly changing him, pushing his more mortal shell further away from lesser creatures, non-rankers, and even the many Master Rankers that existed in the Level 100s. They might even have more levels and years under their belt, but Zarian’s latest growth spurt was massive. And with his growth, Para’s power became even scarier.
It was a shame that they didn’t get any combiners, especially for skills, but there was plenty more to do. With enough achievements, they would certainly get a combiner eventually.
They might have to murder and feast upon a few dozen to a hundred god children first. That brought up a decent question as Zarian stabilized from the changes.
Were Sinfeast’s children here?
Putting aside his dark and dangerous imaginations, Zarian focused on the base stats now that everything was affixed.
Willpower: 3414
Strength: 740
Agility: 1822
Wonder: 2586
Mysticism: 3018
Total Stats: 11,580
It was hard to believe, but Zarian’s total stats had doubled from when he last checked them. And this was still at the base amount.
Next, Zarian checked what his stats looked like with all of his hard buffs.
Willpower had a hard buff of 775%.
Strength, 200%.
Agility, 150%.
Wonder, 600%.
And finally, the king of stats, Mysticism, 1400%.
In an ideal scenario, if Zarian fulfilled all the requirements for his traits to pop off together, his stats would be this:
Willpower: 29,873
Strength: 2,220
Agility: 4,555
Wonder: 18,102
Mysticism: 45,270
Total Stats: 100,020
Zarian’s mouth fell open at the final results. It was almost unimaginable. And this wasn’t even including boosts from his soft buffs, his skills, or the new unknown trait Rising Parasite Free Roam.
He recalled that most adventurers back in Corma peaked around Level 50, didn’t rank, and had little over 500 Total Stats, which included their buffs.
He wasn’t sure how he compared to other Master Rankers at Level 150, but chances were he was … far beyond most.
That was before lumping in the inherent ultra magic from Overwhelming Darkness and Lion Prince that he could leverage even further. Still, that all depended on if he could set the right conditions for his traits to fire on all cylinders, which would probably become more important now that he was challenging…
Champion Rankers.
Zarian looked over at Para who was practically drooling. All that Willpower teamed up with Wonder and Mysticism was driving her crazy with more power than she’d ever handled before.
He could see how desperate she was to unleash herself on their latest prey from the way she whipped her tail and balled all four hands.
He sent an impression for her to wait a little longer as Zarian did his last checks. He wanted to acknowledge the advancements of his skills and perhaps swap a few things around between Alpha skills and Beta skills, depending on needs.
<Force of Sorcery +2 (Level 37): Change aura into a tangible and accurate force that pairs magical knowledge directly with reality. Works very well with abilities for aura and sorcery. Scales with Mysticism. Advancements: +1 enables triple scaling with Mysticism. +2 enables scaling with Willpower and Wonder.>
He couldn’t ask for a better +2 advancement for Force of Sorcery.
<Spell Tower Body (Level 1): Your grimoires and spells can live inside of you while at full power. They can be prepared, suspended in time, and have their cooldowns reduced significantly. Your Strength and Agility rises sharply with every spell you store. But the aura cost grows more extreme as well. Scales doubly with Willpower, Wonder, and Mysticism.>
Oh … oh hell yeah. Spell Tower Body was going to make Zarian even more busted than he was already.
And if Para were to use Spell Tower Body on herself as an extension of him…
…and if they were to use Spell Tower Body simultaneously…
The possibilities had Zarian shivering.
<Super Speed Force +3 (Level 62): With enough aura and force, boost your body and mind to incredible speeds. Using this spell for longer than short bursts can be extremely costly. Scales with Agility and Mysticism. Advancements: +1 raises potency. +2 grants scaling with Wonder. +3 improves Strength to endure greater velocity.>
Good, he was less likely to end up splattered. He was going to need that. His Strength was so pitiful compared to everything else.
He was really becoming a proper wizard.
“Okay, I’m ready.”
The moment the words left his mouth, he manifested his grimoires inside himself and evoked multiple spells for him and Para. She instantly used Spell Tower Body with him, and the results felt like they were filled with primeval and eldritch chaos, all cold, dark, hot, horrifying, and more.
Zarian’s body felt stronger and faster, but the results on Para were even more dynamic. It was time to kick godling ass.
