Chapter 25: Almighty Bone!

"Whatchu lookin at?" I growled at Neo Mack 3 as I sat on the couch and stretched my hands behind me. The poor little slime kept squirming around in worry.

It suddenly huffed, as if it had made its mind, and came toward me while trembling.

"Popiiipii…"

The slime grunted.

I raised my brow at it. This little bastard.

"You are worried about the hero? Are you insane?"

The slime's eyes opened up in to large circles.

"Why would I be calling him the hero if there was no bone in his back? All he lacks are balls, other than that the hero is plenty strong."

A few zombies would do nothing.

This was. An important catalyst for his psyche. Would he want to grow or would he want the easy way out? When you just return from a different world, the sense of danger that should accompany an apocalypse like this just doesn't register.

Even more so when you are the strongest there ever was in said other world.

The Hero… though I knew his limits, I was still curious.

"Get here and open that shop thing."

It was about time to take a look at that too.

"Bone! Bone! Bone bone! Bone bone! Bone bone! Bone bone! Boneeeeeee!"

The hero played air guitar as he summoned the soul king with his singing. Behind him hordes of bones still followed.

Femurs, he needed more femurs.

As he dashed through the streets of the city of Darma, the first thing he did was stop in front of a glass pane and fix his hair.

"A hero must always look good."

"Kieee!" A skeleton came charging, and was kicked away.

Beyond the glass pane was the sight of many canisters of Diesel with the tag of a sale marked on them. It was being guided by a seriously bloated zombie. It seemed this guy was rotting from within.

The Diesel was good though, he could use it to carry some bones for his grand operation. But it looked like the bloated shop owner would explode with the force of seven landmines if he even touched it.

"Oh!"

The zombies were still krieeing. He placed his fist on his palm and chuckled.

Slowly, he gathered a few of them and opened the glass door of the shop.

"Kaa!" A few of them tried to grab him, but he kicked and pushed them all inside, lightly, and then slammed the door shut behind them.

The zombies tried to slam the glass and come out, but bones could only put so much pressure.

So much pressure was more than enough for thre blaoting corpse. Attracted by the sounds, the bloater came running toward the bones and the glass door.

The hero slowly hopped back, and then, started running away. The screech of the skeletons rang as the bloat was poked by one of their bones.

—BOOOM!

He jumped and rolled ahead on the ground as the corpse exploded. All the windows in the shop shot outward.

"Huh? Was it supposed to be that crazy?"

Post mortem explosions were usually about high pressure and gas with very ungodly stenches.

"Whatever."

Thinking about it was useless. What he wanted was done, there was little chance of the corpse now affecting his Diesel now that he had handled it with a bodily explosion.

The stench was ungodly still…

Hm….

He definitely didn't want to go inside like this.

"Kieee…"

"Oh?"

These bones…

He could hook them up and tie them together and then use them to get the canisters out through the windows. These bones…

They seemed to be a holy solve it all! Bones for life! Bones for win!

He could do anything wiht bones! From training to fighting.

With the all bone… he might just be able to beat that tyrant too!

The image of the hero trying to bonk the villain with a bone entered his head. And he immediately sighed.

That was not happening.

Well. Bones.

The man took out the canisters, slung them in a bag, opened one.

"Map," he muttered and the apocalypse keeper answered in the form of a small window.

The map was here. Now, he just had to go ahead and run. And run did the hero.

Leaving behind himself a train of Diesel and further behind a trail of bones.

***

And so, after assembling everything that was needed, the gamer soul finally saw the hero from the window and decided to go down. In his hands the last canister of Diesel.

Diesel.

That she really fucking needed to power up her generator and play some more.
