Chapter 318: Chapter 306: Fourth Update

It was the end of September that day.

Sienna Thornton sat in her office, her chair turned ninety degrees, staring at the blue sky and white clouds outside, contemplating whether to call Sylvia Langley to come home for National Day.

While she was lost in thought, Rochelle Linwood came in to report, "Lawyer Jefferson from Vantage Family Law Division is here to see you. If you don’t want to meet her, I’ll ask her to leave."

Having seen those photos before, Rochelle knew something was definitely amiss between Sienna and Jane Jefferson. However, Sienna was only surprised for a few seconds before asking her to bring Jane in.

Jane Jefferson entered, wearing a pink maternity dress and flat shoes. She had always been somewhat plump in physique and facial features, and now in a maternity dress, she looked every bit the part.

Her makeup was subtly deceptive, only detectable by a woman’s sharp eye. Her long hair was tied back in a ponytail, making her eyes appear larger. Without heavy makeup, her features seemed more genuine.

Sienna’s chair turned back, her hands naturally resting on the armrests, staring impassively at her visitor. She was silent, but her gaze was as sharp as a knife.

She slightly lifted her chin, gesturing toward the two chairs in front of her.

Jane was unceremonious as she walked over, sat down in front of her, and after a long stare, smiled and said, "I initially planned to terminate the pregnancy, but once Grandma Forrester found out, being a devout Buddhist, she didn’t want any harm done, so she hopes I’ll carry the child to term."

Sienna was shocked.

Grandma Forrester was already aware of this, which meant the Forrester Family likely knew too and kept it from her!

After a brief reflection, she understood why the Forrester Family kept it from her. They probably feared she’d develop a grudge against Simon Forrester once she found out.

She hadn’t expected Jane to escalate the situation so quickly to the Forrester Family.

The anger boiled inside her, her resentful eyes fixing on Jane for a long moment. In a low voice, she asked, "What exactly do you want?"

Jane looked at her with wide, innocent eyes, "I mentioned before that I want to raise the child myself, but Grandma Forrester said the child will be given a legitimate status, so I’ve reconsidered. I hope to give this child a complete family. After all, he is the Forrester Family’s first son and grandson."

Even with Sienna’s good upbringing, she couldn’t endure being repeatedly hit with statements about "a complete family" and "the Forrester Family’s eldest son and grandson."

She was fuming with rage, her teeth chattering, the skin around her eyes twitching slightly from suppressing her anger. Every muscle in her body seemed to be controlled by her fury, longing to stand up instantly and slap this shameless woman!

Yet she restrained herself, knowing Jane’s intent was to provoke her, to force her into action. If Sienna took physical action, Jane would immediately sue her for infringement!

Sienna nearly bit through her own teeth, swallowing down the fury that almost suffocated her.

She forced herself to calm down, eased her emotions slightly, then looked at Jane and suddenly chuckled, "To give the child a family? Are you implying that Simon Forrester should marry you? Otherwise, how would you give the child a complete family?"

Jane’s eyes glimmered with a smile, "If you break up with him, he’ll consider it for the sake of the child."

Sienna: "..."

Suddenly, she didn’t know how to respond.

A wise saying came to mind — don’t try to wake someone who is pretending to sleep.

Previously, Sienna thought Jane only wanted to sow discord between her and Simon Forrester, to watch them break up. But now it seemed Jane’s goal was to marry Simon Forrester.

She couldn’t understand where Jane got the nerve.

She laughed, an incredibly sarcastic laugh, "Let’s not even discuss whether there’s a child in your belly or whose child it is. But you, previously visiting the Forrester home as Partner Reed’s girlfriend, how can you be so confident that Simon Forrester would want to be with you?"

Jane chuckled indifferently, "Weren’t you involved with Partner Reed too, yet Simon Forrester still wants you?"

Sienna was so provoked by this remark that she abruptly stood up from her chair, pointing at her accusingly, "Partner Reed never had anyone else but you as his lover! I took the blame for you for two to three years! Because of that, I got my face slashed by Partner Reed’s ex-wife! How can you say such things?"

Jane’s mouth moved slightly, seemingly wanting to say something, but before she could speak, the sound of the door forcefully opening interrupted her.

The office door swung against the wall with two loud bangs.

Sienna looked over to see Sylvia Langley, wearing a red cinched dress, an English-style hat, and carrying a luxury designer purse, striding in fiercely. She grabbed Jane by the shoulder and raised her hand to deliver a slap.

The slap turned Jane’s face to one side, leaving five distinct fingerprints on her cheek.

Sylvia gripped her shoulder, ready to strike again. Sienna rushed over to intervene, blocking Sylvia.

Sylvia pointed at Jane’s face, cursing loudly, "Where did this little witch come from! Claiming to be pregnant with my son’s child! Even if you’re really pregnant, I’ll make sure it’s gone! Slut! Don’t you think about the kind of trash you are! My son would never look at someone like you!"

Cursing, she was about to go up and fight.

Sienna was taken aback, never expecting Sylvia to resort to violence immediately.

She stood there, stunned, before remembering to advise caution, lowering her voice to whisper in Sylvia’s ear, "Aunt, don’t be impulsive, she’s a lawyer."

Sylvia had long forgotten what Jane was, only knowing this person was someone Thomas Reed brought home for meals before. The thought of such a woman trying to tarnish her son’s reputation made her furious, wanting to destroy Jane’s face.

Sylvia lunged forward again, pinned Jane on the sofa, and delivered another harsh slap.

Sienna couldn’t hold her back, so she hurried out to get help. Soon, Rhonda Wagner and other assistants from downstairs rushed up to separate Sylvia and Jane.

Jane’s eyes were red, biting her lower lip as she glared at Sylvia.

Sylvia, restrained by Rhonda and Rochelle, still pointed a finger at Jane’s face and cursed, "I’m telling you! If you’re not afraid of being beaten to death by me, go ahead and try for my son! You better watch out I get someone..."

Before she could finish, Sienna clamped her hand over Sylvia’s mouth.

Sienna glanced at the assistants standing by, speaking coldly, "Escort Miss Jefferson out!"
