Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike-Chapter 246 - 243: Sponsor Daddy
The Imperial Court Club is located in the city center. The nanny van drove from the distant film city and happened to hit the weekend evening rush hour; it took a full hour to get there.
As soon as the van stopped, the agent quickly jumped out first, looking at the elegant and dazzling entrance of The Imperial Court Club, his eyes filled with light.
Sienna Thornton also got out of the car, called out, "Let’s go in."
The three of them walked toward the entrance of The Imperial Court Club. The girl welcoming guests at the door saw Sienna Thornton coming from a distance, picked up the microphone hanging by her ear, and whispered something. Before long, a man in a suit with an air of nobility hurried out, bowed to Sienna Thornton, and respectfully said, "Mr. Thornton, you’ve arrived. Mr. Forrester is waiting for you at ’Bridgeview Pavilion.’"
Sienna Thornton smiled and nodded politely to the man, "Okay, I know; we’ll go up by ourselves. You can get back to your work."
After saying this, she led Maeve and the agent to the elevator, navigating the place with familiar ease.
As the elevator doors closed, the agent smiled and asked, "Does Lawyer Thornton come here often? That was the manager, right?"
In her mind, discreet wealthy people in relationships generally don’t like flaunting around with a date, especially in a place like The Imperial Court where nobles would often run into acquaintances. This is to avoid rumors spreading fast, which might later hinder finding a proper match, or leave the impression of being a playboy.
Sienna Thornton chuckled, "I’ve only been here twice."
Once was when Simon Forrester was falsely accused of sexual assault, and she delivered a lawyer’s letter on behalf of her client; the other was the guest appreciation banquet on the opening day of Cognitas.

The Imperial Court Club spans nearly ten thousand square meters, integrating art appreciation and dining culture, featuring dozens of elegantly decorated VIP rooms with expansive views, alongside a world-class lounge, cigar bar, banquet hall, and English-style dining room.
Targeted at the high-end market with a somewhat formal style, it’s ideal for showing off when meeting business partners. Being the most upscale leisure club in Brimfield, people assume the noble circle loves coming here too.
In fact, this isn’t true, just like Simon Forrester himself seldom visits The Imperial Court. When meeting with friends, they mostly prefer highly private villas or private wineries. Every time he meets with Jack Hawthorne and others, they’ll go to Tobias Blackwood’s French-style winery located in the distant suburbs, to drink and chat in a quiet and confidential setting.
In the end, the public really doesn’t know where the real top-tier noble circle gathers.
With a "ding," the elevator arrived at the top floor of The Imperial Court Club.
Sienna Thornton snapped back to reality, inviting Maeve and the agent out of the elevator. The floor was laid with thick, sound-absorbing carpets, creating a quiet atmosphere with not a sound to be heard.
The corridors were dotted with artistic ornaments; the design exuded nobility and luxury without losing its artistic feel, cleverly combining Baroque art, architectural space, and lighting relationships, imbuing the entire space with an artistic soul.
The agent clicked her tongue in amazement, wearing a look that seemed to say coming here was without regrets.
Since Sienna Thornton had never been to the top floor before, she momentarily couldn’t find where "Bridgeview Pavilion" was. After wandering through the maze-like artistic environment a few times and getting a bit dizzy, she eventually returned to the elevator and called Simon Forrester to come out and fetch her.
Soon after hanging up, Simon Forrester came out.
Upon seeing him, Sienna Thornton greeted him with a smile, "I just took a spin and couldn’t find it." Then, remembering she brought guests along, she promptly introduced them to him, "This is Maeve’s agent."
In front of outsiders, Simon Forrester maintained a cool and distant demeanor. He merely curved his lips slightly and glanced at Maeve and the agent as a form of greeting.
Facing such a titan, who wouldn’t want to seize an opportunity for connection? Let alone Maeve’s team, still striving in the challenging entertainment industry.
Maeve couldn’t care less about these, but her agent was different. Maeve was her most promising rising star so far; the company had thrown all their resources on her, hoping she might one day rise to fame, taking everyone with her.
Thus, upon meeting the son of Brimfield’s wealthiest family, the agent immediately unleashed her socializing skills, warmly flattered, "Mr. Forrester, hello, hello! It’s truly a pleasure meeting you! I’ve read your interview in ’Architectural Life’ magazine..."
The agent spoke non-stop all the way from the elevator until they were seated, relentlessly fawning over Simon Forrester. Even Sienna Thornton, just listening, grew somewhat annoyed. Yet, Simon Forrester remained expressionless and indifferent, not interrupting her at all.
It was Maeve who broke the chain of compliments, speaking coldly to shift the topic, "Sienna, did Director Wallace tell you the meeting is Friday at seven pm?"
Sienna Thornton replied, "Yes, they said there’ll be a meeting Friday night. I’ll be preparing at home over the weekend and the following weekdays, and we’ll start recording at ten in the morning the Saturday after next."
Hearing this, Simon Forrester realized Sienna Thornton had been selected. As expected.
The thought of her being exposed to the national audience soon made Simon Forrester feel a bit helpless. As he pulled a chair out for her and let her sit down, he smiled and teased, "You really got selected?"
Sienna Thornton laughed twice, looking at him playfully quipping, "Isn’t that right? Aren’t you disappointed? No chance to become a sponsor dad for the show, nor able to censor my face."
Simon Forrester coldly laughed, "I can still be a sponsor dad, and I can still censor your face."
Hearing his tone as if he meant it, Sienna Thornton was momentarily stunned and hastily said, "Don’t waste money on this!"
Simon Forrester raised an eyebrow, looking over, a corner of his lips curling up, "I heard this season’s title sponsor for ’Lawyer Speak’ donated eighty million? How about I sponsor them with a hundred million, without needing naming rights, just requesting your face be censored, see if they’re willing."
Knowing he was joking, Sienna Thornton still pretended to be angry, fiercely saying, "Are you sure you want to be so ruthless to me?"
Simon Forrester didn’t respond, smiling with lowered eyes, reaching for the gold-rimmed yellow teapot on the table, and poured tea for everyone present.
Then the agent chimed in, "Lawyer Thornton is so beautiful, censoring her would be such a waste! ’Lawyer Speak’ finally got such a beautiful, graceful lady lawyer, yet there’s talk of censoring her, what a loss!"
Simon Forrester, after pouring tea, leaned back in his chair, one hand resting on Sienna Thornton’s chair back, casually placing the other on the table edge, holding the gold-rimmed yellow cup, and lightly smiling, "She’s too beautiful to let others see."
After speaking, his deep, smiling eyes turned to Sienna Thornton’s face, filled with tenderness and passion.
Sienna Thornton raised an eyebrow at him, then turned to Maeve and the agent, saying, "Don’t listen to his ramblings, before I left home at noon, he still disliked me for being ugly!"
