Otherworldly Desert Dust-Chapter 518 - 473: Factory of Living Beings
Dai Jing remained silent about her own situation.
She stood up to observe the metal door filled with numbers.
"Give me the password," Dai Jing said.
Wu Hen wasn't worried about her playing tricks anymore and gave her all the sample codes.
She entered the sample codes into the digital door, and not long after, the entire unlocking progress reached "100%".
As Wu Hen had guessed, only 100 codes were needed to open the door, but there were more than 100 codes in total.
"Sector L has been opened!"
"Everyone be on your guard!"
"Release the scanning arrows!"
The arrows flew down the lengthy corridor, and soon the entire passage was outlined by a grid of light, exposing any alien entities hidden within, including any dangerous mechanisms.
The vanguard, consisting of just seven people, quickly entered the passageway.
The main force followed closely behind, their safety switches already off, ready to shoot any alien species that might appear in the corridor at any moment.
The squads on both flanks numbered twelve, mostly composed of Transformed People infected with mechanical cells, covering the main force and vanguard.
"Let's go," Dai Jing said.
Wu Hen, Guo Hong, and Lu Xian immediately followed, standing in the safest position of this Black Deacon Corps, equivalent to their formation's center, with a squad at the rear to prevent any aliens from sneaking up from behind.
Each person was allotted a Fifth-Rank Life Pearl, with many having evolved to Fifth-Rank Life, their strength doubled, and their combat power no less than the previous hundred-man squad.
Wu Hen and his companions didn't need to be as cautious as before since they were being escorted, and thus took larger steps.
"Da-da-da-da!!!!"
The muzzle continuously spewed Fiery Flames. They were equipped with Violent Firearms, with the bullets released like black photons; when linked together, they even formed a line of black photon fire, with power that increased continuously with focused firing.

With more than a dozen Black Deacon Corps members firing at once, the resulting curtain of bullets was quite spectacular, capable of thoroughly annihilating any alien beast that might appear ahead.
"The recoil from these weapons could shatter their shoulder blades and ribs, but after their physiques are enhanced, each person's combat ability is greatly increased, allowing them to harness these violently powerful weapons," Dai Jing explained to Wu Hen.
"No wonder, they seem much more ferocious in combat than before," Wu Hen nodded in agreement.
"These violent weapons, the higher the usage frequency, the hotter the guns become, producing a high-temperature blade effect similar to that of cold weapons, and the heat enhances the bullet's power and its burning effect. As long as the user can withstand its ferocity, they essentially transform into Fierce Warriors," Guo Hong also remarked at this point.
With the materials of these violently tempered heat weapons, the more they battle, the more valiant they become; high temperatures do not harm the material itself but instead provide more driving force to the weapon.
Therefore, these Black Deacon Corps members, after evolving their lives to the Fifth Rank, could quickly heat their weapons to a violent state, enhancing their strength by more than one level, and thus, dealing with the powerful mutant species became much easier.
Looking at it this way, Leader Zhu indeed lacked foresight; Sector L must contain higher-level research items. Providing the Fifth-Rank Life Pearls obtained earlier to his own troops would allow for better pioneering; there was no need to cling to the small benefits without letting go.
Seeing Wu Hen's generosity, Dai Jing also exerted great effort in subsequent actions. Without needing Wu Hen to act personally, all the alien species in this corridor were eliminated under Dai Jing's command.
It has to be said, having such an elite squad really provided a great sense of security.
Even if some alien species with peculiar abilities appeared and casualties occurred, it would be among the Black Deacons at the front, allowing their own combat power to be perfectly preserved, and to take quick and decisive action at the weakness of the alien species.
They successfully passed through the corridor.
Stepping into Sector L's interior, it resembled the insides of a huge creature, with enormous floating devices akin to the organs of this behemoth, some like the heart, mysteriously pumping black Mutant Condensed Liquid throughout Sector L, while others, like lungs, continuously pulsated, compressing some form of energy into Crystal Core Chips; and numerous like the internal immune system, would transform into Immune Soldiers ready to slaughter any invader!
"You're telling me the things I can't handle are these immune alien species?" Wu Hen lifted his gaze and saw a vast number of immune soldiers gathering.
When not perceiving any threat, these immune soldiers resembled white spheres floating at various points in L-area. However, once Wu Hen and his group entered, thin claws extended from the spheres of the immune soldiers, similar to spider legs, allowing them to crawl with unparalleled agility on the ground and walls.
Their forms were not fixed. As their claws elongated, other parts of their bodies would contract, similar to some sort of magical illusionary particles.
"These things are unkillable. Without us clearing a path for you, you would be completely unable to move forward and would soon be overwhelmed by them!" Dai Jing said.
Wu Hen tried to release laser flying blades at an immune soldier climbing over from the wall. The laser flying blade easily tore through the alloy wall, but the immune soldiers were just scattered.
After struggling on the ground for a while, the immune soldiers got up unharmed and continued to rely on their "tactile sense" to search for intruders in L-area.
"Alright, please clear the way for us. We need to get to..." Wu Hen looked towards the complex biochemical factory, momentarily unsure of which direction to head.
"Head toward the Angel Womb. The Black Angel is drawing power from her mutated placenta. From here, go that way." Guo Hong found an accurate direction thanks to the memories previously implanted in him.
"Vanguard, clear the way." Dai Jing immediately issued the command and chose the most suitable path for combat.
At first, entering here, one couldn't feel the dreadfulness of these immune soldiers. But now, as they surged over like a black tide, and since no amount of force could destroy them, Wu Hen realized that without a team with enough firepower to clear a path, he really couldn't move an inch.
"We won't be too far now." Guo Hong saw a familiar rhombus metal sign and couldn't suppress a sense of urgency, eagerly joining the fight.
Wu Hen also observed his surroundings. The entire L-area exuded an eerie quality, resembling both biological and mechanical structures. Everywhere were traces of forced fusions between organic life components and artificial devices. Some fusions had reached near perfection, shimmering like artworks with the luster of life, while others were rough, crudely stitching a body to a device, yet these fused beings were alive.
It was as if life was created by a creator at some point, and then there was an existence who had ascended to a high realm, creating another type of mechanical creature. Whether it was the creator of life or the creator of machines who whimsically tried to blend these two life forms—reproduction through mating and the other through production and transformation—to perfectly merge them would require a completely new method....
What could be that new method?
In this very L-area were countless experimental zones, production furnaces, human-made uteruses, organ grafting instruments...
What they were heading to now was a human-made uterus. Abandoned and unmanaged, one could see the entire uterine area crawling with various bizarre micro-life forms: some like mayflies, some like tadpoles, and some like caterpillars.
Moreover, within this uterine area were the enormous embryos, within which gestated some of the more perfect life forms. These life forms were more integral than the aliens and mutants outside, and had even evolved a certain beauty.
Wu Hen saw one of the embryos, from which grew nine crystal-clear tails. The tails served both as lower limbs and a queenly skirt, while the upper body was a flawless female figure with exquisitely sculpted features.
In another embryo in a more secluded corner, Wu Hen saw a dragon-man. His robust physique rivaled the handsome men of myths, his skin shimmered with a golden glow, with the dragon body below his chest signifying immense strength and prestige, his dragon scales glistened brilliantly, and his skin had a purple-gold hue, as perfect as if the Ancient Gods had descended in half-human form.
Finally, Wu Hen spotted his ultimate target in one of the embryos emanating intense heat—the Black Angel.
A pair of black crow's wings now appeared even more elegant and striking. When she folded her wings and let them drape behind her, they resembled the perfect silky black hair of a holy woman. Her seemingly pure and untainted body quietly curled up inside the embryo like a newborn girl.
To be honest, Wu Hen found it difficult to associate her with the Sang Demon.
But her pupils, her cheeks, still showed signs of disease from being eroded by some toxin, and the emotions she displayed were chilling to the extreme. With a deep-seated hatred for all forms of life, the only emotions she emanated were those of slaughter!
No matter how wondrously her appearance was transformed, her inner soul remained an unintelligent beast!
Killing such life, no one would feel guilt or pity; instead, they would feel like they were granting them release.
"You came here for her?" Dai Jing was somewhat surprised to see the Black Angel.
"Mm, someone offered a high price for us to capture her alive," Guo Hong nodded in affirmation.
"And your objective?" Wu Hen turned to Dai Jing, curious about his reasons for coming here.
"I need the Source Embryo Blood Serum so that we can revert back to being human, not mechanical," Dai Jing said.
"Where is this thing?" Wu Hen asked.
"We'll help you capture the Black Angel alive, and you help us get the Source Embryo Blood Serum?" Dai Jing proposed the deal once again.
"Alright, we have no grudges against each other, it's best to each take what we need," Wu Hen agreed without hesitation.
