Chapter 130: Are You Gonna Be My Girl? [R18]

"I take it that’s the muscat talking, Niko, but if you’re asking me if Indy and I want to share a husband, the answer is ’no’."

"It could be a very happy life..."

"No," she interrupted him firmly.

"Sharing a house and raising children together."

"N.O. Niko, get that into your hammered little brain. Bad. Idea. Maybe that hit to the head was too hard? Why would we want that? Do you and Loveday both want to marry Baer? Or Indy? How about, if Indy marries you and Baer so you two friends can live together your whole lives and raise a family?

He looked horrified.

See? No, you don’t like the idea, do you? Just like you don’t like the idea of sharing Indy with Baer, I don’t like the idea of sharing my man with Indy."

She pushed a sticking plaster onto his cut a little too firmly.

"There we are you big lout, all done, you’re free to go."

She pulled him down off her table and pointed him towards the door.

"Off you go," she shooed him, as he looked back at her with puppy dog eyes.

He reluctantly opened the door and stumbled off down the hallway.

"She’ll come around to the idea over time," he thought, in an intoxicated jumble.

"Men and their crazy twin fantasies," thought Ruby, shaking her head in amusement.

She wondered if she should tell Indy, or just forgive the ramblings of a plastered soldier on the eve of war...

Niko arrived back in the training room where the strobe lights and pounding music immediately re-energised him.

He bounded up to join the small group who were dancing to the thumping beat of Cake by the Ocean.

He had a few basic moves now, the fist pump, an air guitar; his attempts at Gangnam style caused great hilarity.

Brenner was up and dancing, far better than Niko. Opal was with him, keeping an eye on him as he got steadily more inebriated. Han, Winter, Cormac and Lili also danced in the loose mass of bodies.

Opal danced up to Niko who was back to his trusty fist pump after his Gangnam style caused more laughter than admiration.

She danced in front of him, wriggling her hips lower and lower, then back up again, holding her hair in her hands.

She was a busty girl with a gorgeous face and would have been exactly his type if she’d been blonde.

She turned her back to him and danced against his chest, swaying her curvy tushie back and forth.

She could feel his very large cock through his thin shorts. She knew it wouldn’t take a lot more dirty dancing for that half-mast to stand up and salute.

Niko laughed happily at the lucky happenstance of a beautiful woman dancing up to him and rubbing her ass against his cock.

He looked across for Baer to show off but found him missing. Then he saw the crazy drunk Brenner and realised it was his sister he was dirty dancing with; he started to back away from Opal, looking for Loveday to make sure she wasn’t being accosted by Baer.

Loveday sat with Indy, who was looking at him with obvious annoyance.

Fuck! Now he was in trouble with his girl. He danced over to her, leaving Opal to merge back into the crowd.

He danced badly in front of Indy, making her laugh.

"Don’t be angry my love," he grabbed her pretty little chin. "I didn’t ask for that. No idea what’s going on with that chick. I guess she can’t resist this hot body," he danced from side to side and indicated his muscly chest and ab’s.

Indy couldn’t help but laugh, forgiving the handsome rogue for his small transgression. To be honest, he couldn’t really help it, and she was already suspicious that Opal was sweet on him.

Wolf had found General Meyer in his quiet little corner and stood in front of the man with his drink.

With Arrie and Baer both missing for the past hour, he was feeling mildly depressed and felt the need to talk to someone.

"General, how do you make a girl like you?"

"Woah, that’s a heavy question for so late in the evening and with too many drinks on board, private."

"No, but tell me what you think," Wolf persisted, "I want to hear it".

"Wolf, I’m really not the guy to ask," Alton said seriously. "I’ve never been a womaniser, and now it appears that even if I do like a woman, I don’t have all of the answers to make her fall head over heels for me."

"I can’t seem to make any progress at all," said Wolf with frustration.

He didn’t need to tell Alton who he was referring to; Alton knew that it was Araminta.

He also knew that she had left with Baer and never returned, but he didn’t plan to tell Wolf that if the guy hadn’t worked it out for himself.

"Wolf," he said more gently, "you can’t force these things... you know that. Feelings are an intangible thing between a man and a woman; they’re either there or they’re not. The only advice I can give you is to be yourself and wait for the right girl. You’re a good guy. There’s no way a good woman won’t see that and fall for you."

Wolf smiled lopsidedly down at his boss, "thanks General, I think I needed to hear that".

While Wolf was talking to Alton and blocking his view of the dancefloor, Delphi had finally joined the throng of dancers.

She danced closely with Winter and Lili, who she was very sad to leave behind at HQ and who she was going to miss intensely. She hadn’t been apart from these girls for a single day in ten years.

Brenner had been waiting for this moment ever since his run-in with the General, and he didn’t waste any time.

Despite being drunk, he hadn’t lost any of his rat cunning. He danced up and joined the three girls, who happily let him into their tight circle just as the song segued into Are You Gonna Be My Girl.

He grabbed Delphi’s hands and started to spin her in and out in a well-trained set of dance manoeuvres. She laughed with delight, playing up the moves on the outward swing.

As the song progressed, she noticed he was pulling her against his bare chest more and more in an unnecessary amount of skinship.

She gracefully extracted herself.

"Thank you for the dance, Brenner. I need a bathroom break," she smiled.

"Don’t be too long," his intense gaze was slightly unnerving.
