Online Game: Starting With SSS-Ranked Summons-Chapter 585: Hunting Demons on Earth
"Alright. Level 15, Vitality invested, ready to learn simultaneous enhancement. What monsters are we hunting next?"
"The demons on Earth." Arthur grinned, watching Charlotte's reaction carefully.
Charlotte's eyes lit up with immediate excitement, but then her expression faltered, shadows crossing her features. "Earth... I haven't seen it since..." Her voice trailed off as memories surfaced.
She looked down at her hands, her earlier enthusiasm dimming. "What if it's horrible? What if everything is destroyed and—"
"Hey," Arthur interrupted gently, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Earth has problems, yes. The demons are a serious threat. But humanity is fighting back. We're winning in many places. The countries I've allied with—China, Palestine, France, Canada—they're holding their ground. People are adapting, getting stronger, surviving."
Charlotte met his eyes with lingering uncertainty. "Really? It's not just... complete devastation?"
"Really," Arthur confirmed with absolute conviction. "There's damage, yes. Loss, definitely. But there's also hope. People are awakening talents, forming teams, and protecting their homes. Cities still function. Governments still operate. Life continues, just... different than before."
He squeezed her shoulder gently. "And you know what? You're going to help protect it. With your power, your creativity—you're going to make a real difference. The demons won't know what hit them."
"Master's sister will save Earth with cute magical bombs!" Aether added enthusiastically from the side. "The demons will be so confused when they die to adorable kitties!"
Charlotte's smile gradually returned, confidence replacing the momentary fear. "You're right. I've been training, getting stronger. It's time to actually help instead of being the person you have to protect."
She straightened, gripping her staff with renewed determination. "Okay. Let's go hunt some demons on Earth. Where are we going?"
Arthur smiled at his sister's recovered enthusiasm. He noticed the transportation ring that had materialised on Charlotte's finger—the standard system item that allowed new players to travel between Earth and Armageddon once they joined his guild.
I don't know where she would spawn if she used it alone, Arthur thought. Could be anywhere on Earth, potentially dangerous locations. Better to control the destination.
"We're using Aether's taxi services," Arthur announced, gesturing to the void dragon who immediately perked up with excitement.
"Ooh! Aether gets to teleport everyone again! Where are we going, Master?"
Arthur's smile widened as he turned to Charlotte. "France. More specifically, Paris. I figured since we're going to hunt demons anyway, we might as well do it somewhere you've always wanted to visit."
Charlotte's eyes went impossibly wide. "Paris? The Eiffel Tower? Arthur, are you serious?! Aether can do that?!"
"Completely serious," Arthur confirmed. "It doesn't matter where we hunt demons as long as it's in a country that supports me. And I know you've wanted to see Paris since you were little. So why not combine demon hunting with sightseeing?"
"Master is the best brother ever!" Aether declared. "Taking Master's sister to see the tall pointy metal tower thing!"
On his visit to France to transport one of Arthur's summons, Aether had also seen the Eiffel Tower.
Charlotte looked like she might cry from happiness. "I can't believe this. I thought I'd never get to travel, especially with our previous income, and after getting sick. And now I'm going to Paris? To actually see the Eiffel Tower?"
"You're going to see it," Arthur promised. "And then we're going to kill demons near it. Very efficient use of time."
Charlotte laughed—pure, joyful laughter that made Arthur's chest tighten with emotion. This was what he'd fought for. This moment. His sister healthy, happy, excited about the future instead of resigned to death.
"Alright everyone, hold on tight!" Aether announced, expanding to his transport form. "Next stop: France! The place with good food and the big metal tower!"
Charlotte climbed onto Aether's back with Arthur's help, still grinning with anticipation. Arthur settled behind her, ensuring she was secure for the long-range teleportation.
"Ready?" Aether asked.
"Ready!" Charlotte confirmed enthusiastically.
"Then here we go!"
Spatial energy wrapped around them as Aether activated his most powerful teleportation, folding reality to cross the vast distance between Armageddon and Earth.
When the world reformed around them, they stood on a rooftop in Paris with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower rising majestically against the sky. The iconic landmark remained intact, a symbol of humanity's resilience despite the apocalypse raging around it.
Charlotte gasped, her hands flying to her mouth as she took in the sight. "It's... it's actually real. I'm actually in Paris, looking at the Eiffel Tower."
"Welcome to Earth," Arthur said warmly, watching his sister's wonder with satisfaction. "And welcome to your first demon hunt. Ready to show these monsters what SSS-rank Infinite Mana can do?"
Charlotte tore her gaze from the Eiffel Tower long enough to meet Arthur's eyes, determination burning behind her joy.
"Let's go save the world. With exploding Hello Kitties." Arthur grinned. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Aamon had been doing his job more than well. The true demon's efficiency in protecting Paris was evident as they flew over the city—the capital itself showed minimal demon activity, the streets relatively safe for civilians and awakeners alike, even if some destruction could be seen here and there.
After Charlotte spent several minutes simply staring at the Eiffel Tower with wonder, Arthur gently redirected their focus. "Ready to hunt?"
Charlotte nodded reluctantly, tearing her gaze from the landmark. "Ready."
Aether teleported them once again, this time to the peripherals of France, where the real fighting occurred. The spatial transition brought them to a chaotic battlefield—a massive dimensional rift pulsed with malevolent energy, demons pouring through in continuous waves.
ROAR! SCREECH! SNARL!
Dozens of awakeners fought desperately against the invasion, their formations struggling to contain the overwhelming numbers. Superior-rank demons—levels 10 through 12—rampaged through defensive lines, and exhausted fighters barely managed to hold their ground.
Charlotte's eyes widened at the scale of destruction. Buildings showed combat damage, streets were cratered from magical attacks, and the awakeners below looked desperate, exhausted, on the verge of collapse.
"There," Arthur pointed toward the rift. "That's your target zone. But Charlotte—be careful. There are humans, buildings, allies down there. No widespread explosions like you've been using in the forest."
Charlotte nodded with grim understanding, her playful demeanour shifting to focused determination. "I understand."
