One Piece: Pirate King? I just want to kill all of you-Chapter 118: Vail said nothing, simply unleashing his Conqueror’s Haki without restraint!
He watched the figure gradually recede into the sky.
Robin crossed her arms over her chest, a smile on her face as she turned to the side and said, "Then let’s hurry and set off too, Issho-san."
"No problem. After all, if the distance isn’t too far, this old man doesn’t want to handle things slower than the captain."
Issho immediately stepped forward to follow, a faint smile playing on his lips.
"Don’t worry. Baroque Works’ headquarters is set up inside a coffee shop called ’Spiders,’ and it’s not too far from here."
Robin walked ahead, leaping onto the moving crab first and casually adding with a laugh, "That’s perfect, then. This old man doesn’t want to botch things on his very first mission."
Issho responded as he lightly sprang up, landing steadily on the moving crab and slowly crossing his legs to sit.
"Then we’ll be off, everyone."
Seeing this, Robin turned back with a smile, waving to Nami and the others before riding the moving crab as it turned and sped off into the desert.
"Alright, Vivi, let’s head back to the palace first and negotiate the reward with your father."
Once the moving crab was far enough away, Nami quickly spun around, grabbing Vivi’s hand with a grin.
"Nami..."
Vivi felt a touch of helplessness at the gesture but didn’t resist.
She knew in her heart that the other girl was just trying to distract her, to keep her from worrying any longer.
"Let’s go too, Chopper. At Vail’s speed, he should have it wrapped up before tonight."
Kalifa watched Nami’s retreating figure with a smiling shake of her head, then called to Chopper beside her to follow along.
"Mm!"
Chopper nodded eagerly and hurried to keep up with the group.
Alabasta Kingdom, Katrea City.
At this moment, in the desert outside the city.
A young man in a reddish-brown coat and orange gloves, with short dark-brown hair, a knife scar over his left eye, and a long sword strapped to his back, was leading a massive army numbering in the hundreds of thousands. They were charging through the desert on horseback in a training drill.
Clearly the leader of this force, the young man’s expression appeared stern, yet a complicated glint lingered deep in his eyes.
He had never truly wanted to spark a rebellion, but now he felt it was impossible to turn back.
Without changing the kingdom’s current state, the people behind him would never easily stand down.
But just then—
Directly ahead of the enormous army, a tall figure slowly emerged from the swirling sand dust, walking unhurriedly toward them.
"Everyone, halt!"
The young man’s face instantly grew wary. He raised a hand and shouted the order to those around him.
The command to stop quickly rippled backward, and the army’s advance soon ground to a halt.
Seeing the opponent approach alone and utterly relaxed, the young man couldn’t help frowning.
"My name is Kohza. Who are you, and what do you want by coming here?"
Even after hearing this, Vail’s steps didn’t falter; he continued walking steadily across the sand.
Gazing at the vast army in the distance, he couldn’t help feeling a flicker of surprise.
"I didn’t expect the rebel army to number in the hundreds of thousands."
"And this probably isn’t even all of them—there are likely plenty more hiding in Katrea City behind us."
"Though they’re all just ordinary people, looking malnourished and gaunt."
"Their strength probably wouldn’t even match the average pirate grunt."
"But I should still be able to harvest some purity value from a few of them."
Still, compared to dealing with these ordinary folk, he’d much rather face true powerhouses in battle.
Seeing the towering man ahead ignore him entirely, Kohza’s expression hardened. "Looks like this guy’s here to cause trouble..."
"Could he be a powerhouse the king specially hired to crush us...?"
That was the only possibility he could think of for now, so he turned to relay it to the others in the army.
But before Kohza could speak—
Vail suddenly stopped, clearly done wasting time.
His eyes locked on the massive army ahead, two crimson flashes abruptly flaring in their depths!
Then—
Bzzz—!!
A momentum far more overwhelming than ever before exploded from Vail’s body, surging forward at terrifying speed!
Kohza, just about to open his mouth, froze solid on the spot—unable even to speak, his eyes widening in sheer terror.
As Vail’s Conqueror’s Haki spread relentlessly forward, the rebels enveloped within it began rolling their eyes back, foam trickling from their mouths. Batch after batch collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.
"Damn it... how...?"
Even Kohza, the rebel leader, only managed to hold out for less than two seconds before his eyes slammed shut. He tumbled heavily from his horse.
"What’s happening?!"
At that moment, many in Katrea City—not far from the desert—heard the commotion.
Some quickly rallied others and rushed out of the city, hurrying toward the desert.
Vail raised an eyebrow, then immediately expanded the range of his Haki, enveloping the entire city ahead in its grasp.
The rebels who had just charged out of the gates instantly rolled their eyes and crumpled to the sand.
Sensing the people inside the city falling one by one until none remained standing, Vail finally ceased the release of his Haki and continued walking forward.
When he reached Kohza, he slowly came to a stop, waiting quietly.
Less than a minute passed.
Kohza—who had barely endured the Haki’s shock for a full second—furrowed his brow, then gradually opened his eyes.
Vail, having precisely controlled the output from the start, showed no surprise.
After all, he had no intention of knocking these people out for an entire day and then standing around like an idiot waiting for them to wake.
"Kohza, feeling a bit calmer now?"
Hearing the towering man looming over him speak, Kohza instantly recalled that bizarre attack from moments ago. He reflexively flipped to his feet, face guarded as he reached for his sword.
Unfortunately, he was far too slow.
Before he could draw the blade from its sheath, Vail’s hand shot out, gently pinching his neck and slowly lifting him into the air.
"Hey, hey, what are you doing?"
"You know, I came all this way specifically to reason with you nicely. Don’t waste everyone’s time, alright?"
Kohza’s hands desperately pried at the iron grip around his throat. Inside, he couldn’t help roaring to himself:
"Damn it... what kind of ’reasoning nicely’ is this...?"
