Chapter 337: Breaking Through the Divine Wall! Diamond Hardness VS Varanium!

The Outer Ruins — Shadows of the Old World

The air in the ruins was thick with the scent of rust and damp decay, a graveyard of a civilization that had long since surrendered to monsters.

"Become my daughters!"

The voice was not merely loud; it was a physical force, a deep, resonant rumble that seemed to vibrate through the very marrow of Aihara Enju’s bones. It exploded like a thunderclap from a clear sky, echoing endlessly through the desolate alleyway, bouncing off the crumbling concrete skeletons of buildings.

Enju and the huddled group of Cursed Children stared, their eyes wide and trembling. Before them, the man known as Whitebeard knelt on one knee. Even in this humbled posture, he loomed over them like a mountain range, his crescent moon mustache twitching as he offered a smile that defied the harshness of their world—a smile of incomparable, sun-drenched warmth.

Their minds went blank. The concept was too alien to process.

"Daughters..."

Enju muttered the word, tasting it on her tongue. It felt foreign. To them, "family" was a fairy tale, a lie told in books they weren’t allowed to read. To the world, they were cursed monsters. They were the Gastrea’s spawn, mongrels spat upon by humanity, destined to be discarded like broken tools.

Could they... really have a place to belong?

"Gurararara..."

Seeing the doubt clouding their red-tinted eyes, Whitebeard let out a hearty laugh that shook the dust from the nearby walls. He slowly stood up, his towering, burly frame casting a massive shadow that felt less like darkness and more like a shield. He looked capable of holding up a brand-new sky for them, one where the red eyes of a child weren’t a death sentence.

"From today on, you are all my daughters! If anyone dares to bully you again, I’ll sink them into the sea!"

The declaration was absolute. It was a law of nature spoken into existence.

He turned around, his massive white coat billowing like a ship’s sail, and strode toward the exit of the ruins.

"Marco, Jozu, Vista!"

"Yes, Pops!" the three commanders responded in unison, their voices filled with an easy confidence that the children had never known. They fell into step behind him, a phalanx of power.

The group of ragged little girls froze in place. They looked at the four figures, who seemed less like humans and more like ancient gods walking the earth. Hesitation gnawed at them. Was it a trick? A dream?

Finally, Aihara Enju was the first to break the spell. She aggressively wiped away the tears threatening to spill, her jaw setting in a stubborn line. She moved her short legs, stumbling over debris, desperate not to let this warmth fade away.

"Wait... wait for us!"

The cry broke the dam. The other girls followed suit, scrambling like fledglings finding their way back to the nest, running to stay in the shadow of that moving mountain.

Foosha Village — Partys Bar

Dead silence filled the plaza. The holographic projection flickered, casting a blue glow over the faces of Marines and pirates alike. Everyone was shocked beyond words by Whitebeard’s absurdity—and his grandeur.

"Whoa—! Uncle Whitebeard is so cool!" Luffy was so excited that stars practically shot out of his eyes; he was vibrating with energy, looking ready to dive headfirst into the screen.

"Idiot Luffy, keep it down!" Ace thumped Luffy on the head, a habitual motion, though he didn’t look away from the screen. The rims of his own eyes were slightly red, a silent acknowledgment of the bond he shared with the man on screen.

"Family, huh..." Sabo whispered softly, tilting his hat down to hide his complex expression.

In the Marine camp, Fleet Admiral Sengoku rubbed his temples, a headache forming. "That guy Newgate! Running off to an Otherworld Dungeon just to adopt daughters! He treats inter-dimensional warfare like a vacation! It’s simply nonsense!"

"Bwahahaha... Sengoku, don’t you think it’s interesting?" Garp laughed gloatingly, crumbs spraying everywhere as he furiously munched on a bag of senbei. "That’s exactly the kind of old fool he is!"

Dungeon World — Tokyo Area, Outside Monolith No. 36

The Monolith. A magnificent, oppressive barrier made of black Varanium, standing dozens of meters high, stretching endlessly between heaven and earth. It absorbed the light, a stark black slash against the horizon. This was humanity’s final line of defense, the "Wall of Despair" that separated the chaos of "monsters" from the fragile order of "civilization."

At this moment, beneath the looming shadow of the wall, hundreds of fully armed Self-Defense Force soldiers waited in a tense battle formation. The air was thick with the smell of gun oil and fear. Their gun barrels were locked dead onto the four "giants" slowly approaching from the distance.

And... onto the group following behind them. The Cursed Children. To the JSDF, those small girls were even more disgusting than the Gastrea—a betrayal of human form.

"Halt!"

A commander stepped forward, his knuckles white as he gripped a megaphone. He roared sternly, trying to project authority he didn’t feel. "You there of unknown origin! Stop immediately! And you children of monsters! This isn’t a place you should be! Crawl back to your stinking ditches!"

The wind seemed to die down as his voice fell. Whitebeard stopped.

"Gurararara..."

He let out a disdainful chuckle, a low rumble like shifting tectonic plates. He didn’t even bother to glance at the commander; an elephant does not concern itself with the barking of a dog. Instead, he turned his head to look at Enju and the others huddled behind his massive legs.

"Children, are you afraid?"

Enju subconsciously tightened her grip on Whitebeard’s pant leg, the fabric rough against her small hand. Her tiny body trembled slightly. But when she looked up, her eyes no longer held the numbness of a victim. They burned with a trace of unprecedented determination.

"Not afraid! With ’Father’ here, we aren’t afraid of anything!"

"Gurararara!!!" Whitebeard threw his head back and laughed toward the sky, the sound so powerful that the very earth trembled in resonance! "Well said! As expected of my daughters!"

The laughter cut off abruptly. He turned his head, his eagle-like golden eyes instantly erupting with the domineering aura of a ruler descending upon the world. The pressure in the air multiplied.

"Jozu!"

"Yes, Pops!"

Jozu, the burliest of the commanders, clad in heavy armor that looked light on his frame, grinned. He took a single step forward.

Boom!

The ground cracked instantly beneath his boot, a spiderweb of fractures spreading outward.

"F-Fire!" The commander opposite them was scared out of his wits by this imposing aura, his survival instinct overriding his training. He screamed the order subconsciously.

Bang bang bang bang—!!!

Muzzle flashes lit up the perimeter. Countless bullets tore through the air, forming an airtight net of death, pouring down toward Jozu like a metallic rainstorm!

However, Jozu didn’t even bother to dodge. He didn’t flinch. He simply crossed his arms in front of his chest.

[Diamond: Bulwark]

Hum—!

A sound like a tuning fork struck by a god resonated through the air. A brilliant, prismatic light exploded from his body! In the next second, under the stunned gaze of every soldier, his flesh vanished. His burly frame transformed into a crystal-clear diamond giant, shimmering with the radiance of a billion refracted lights!

Clang clang clang—!

Sparks flew wildly. The moment the high-caliber bullets touched his body, they were deflected, flattened, and scattered, failing to leave even a single white scratch on his faceted surface.

"W-What?!"

"Attacks are ineffective?!"

"W-What kind of monster is this?!"

The opposing JSDF soldiers were dumbfounded, their weapons lowering in shock. The commander was so terrified he dropped his megaphone, the plastic clattering loudly on the asphalt.

"D-Don’t worry about it! Quick! Activate the highest level of defense! We absolutely cannot let them break through the Varanium wall!"

However, it was already too late. The charge had begun.

"You think this pile of scrap metal can stop me?" Jozu let out a muffled, mocking laugh that sounded like grinding stones. He squatted slightly, the diamond muscles in his legs bulging, storing potential energy like a coiled spring. "Let me show you... what true ’strongest hardness’ is!!"

BOOM—!!!!

Accompanied by a sonic boom that resounded through heaven and earth, Jozu launched himself! His massive diamond body turned into an unstoppable comet, a streak of brilliance slamming viciously into the magnificent barrier cast from the "indestructible" Varanium!

Crack—!!!

The sound was sickening—the scream of metal being violated. In the horrified gazes of all present, the Monolith—known as the "Guardian God of Humanity," the wall that had stood against the apocalypse—shattered.

It didn’t just break; it exploded. Like fragile glass struck by a sledgehammer, the black metal disintegrated under Jozu’s tackle!

Countless metal fragments, some as large as cars, scattered like flowers from the heavens! A massive, shocking breach appeared in the barrier, jagged edges framing the outside world.

For the first time in a decade, unfiltered sunlight shone into this land that had been shrouded in gloom. It pierced the dust, illuminating the faces of the JSDF soldiers behind the wall—faces blank with shock and absolute despair.

Their god... had shattered.

Tokyo Area — Holy Residence

"R-Report to Lady Seitenshi!" A communications officer scrambled into the audience chamber, tripping over the plush carpet, his face twisted in terror. "The defensive line at Monolith No. 36... has... has been breached!"

Seitenshi, sitting upright on the pristine throne, felt a flicker of astonishment cross her exquisite, doll-like face. She gripped the armrests. "Breached? How is that possible? Did a Stage V Gastrea invade?"

"N-No!" The communications officer’s voice trembled, verging on hysteria. "It was... four giants over five meters tall! One of them... shattered the Varanium wall into fragments with a single hit!"

"What?!"

Beside Seitenshi, an old man wearing a traditional kimono stood up abruptly. His face was sinister, etched with deep lines of cruelty. It was the "Shadow Ruler" governing the Tokyo Area—Tendo Kikunojo. His eyes flashed with a light that was both tyrannical and insane.

"Giants? And they brought those cursed mongrels with them?" He sneered, his composure returning instantly, replaced by cold calculation. "Pass down my order! The entire city is to enter maximum alert status! Mobilize all Self-Defense Forces! At all costs! Kill these monsters suspected of being a new type of Gastrea... kill them on the spot!"
