The Three Frost High Elves that were frozen in ice are finally freed from their prison. The weapons that have the bark of the Winter Tree finally resonated deeply with them and unleashed them from the ice. The three Frost High Elves immediately saw what happened to their people and could only lament that they were now the only three of the Frost Elves remaining.

"Revenge!" The Frost High Elf Warrior Leader shouted but he did not know who to direct this to as the Winter Tree is no more.

"There are still effects of the curse on our bodies, but I can also feel the essence of the Winter Tree from faraway. How is this possible?!" The Frost High Elf Mage Leader stated in confusion as there was still a very small effect from the curse they are afflicted with.

"The Forest Guardian! He is gone!" The Frost High Elf Ranger Leader exclaimed as he immediately went to check on Levin Cloud.

The area where Levin Cloud should have been frozen is now hollow which means that he escaped while they were still frozen. The three Frost High Elves could only think of one thing when they saw that the Forest Guardian they abducted is no longer in place. A Forest Guardian should not have the ability to free themselves from the icy shackles when even they were frozen.

"The Winter Tree planned all of this from the beginning. It must have given a blessing to the Forest Guardian when its life was at its end. It could have given that Forest Guardian the ability to move through ice and snow momentarily." The Frost High Elf Warrior Leader stated.

"The contamination is also gone along with the Eternally Starving One. It seems that he escaped when he somewhat got what he needed while leaving us frozen and dying." The Frost High Elf Mage Leader stated as she pointed out that the contaminated energy, they used to weaken the Winter Tree is no longer present in the area.

They knew that the contaminated energy would have eaten through any organic matter should the Winter Tree be devoured or destroyed. The contaminated energy should have been present in the area as even the explosion of the Winter Tree cannot truly eradicate it. The Frost High Elves made a deal with the Primordial Beast of Gluttony regarding that same contaminated energy.

The deal was that the Primordial Beast of Gluttony will get the contaminated energy in exchange for heavily weakening the Winter Tree. The contaminated energy was stuck to the Winter Tree because of what the Frost High Elves did. The Frost High Elves had the ability to take it away using a relic that they have but they opted not to as they are still cursed by the Winter Tree.

The ideal scenario for the Frost High Elves is that the contaminated energy weakens the Winter Tree and then they replace the will of the Winter Tree with the Forest Guardian that they have captured. Once they could control the new Winter Tree then they would use the relic left by the distorted god to absorb the contaminated energy back. This was the plan they have concocted but everything is now in shambles.

The Frost High Elves did not think that the Winter Tree would forcefully destroy itself and unleash calamities in the northern continent, but it did. The fact that the Winter Tree thought that having the northern continent deal with the calamities it sealed is much better than it being controlled by the Frost High Elves made the latter group offended. What they did know was that the Winter Tree was already dying, and it could only last for about ten years or so. It only decided to end its life when it came in contact with Levin Cloud.

In a way, the Frost High Elves unknowingly made the Winter Tree hasten its plans by bringing in a Forest Guardian that is the Envoy of the Twin Gods. The Frost High Elves did not even know that they brought the Envoy of the Twin Gods right into their settlement as they have been isolated from the world. They are also not demigod level beings that can detect divine energy as they are merely using weapons that can use divine energy via unknown ways.

"What should we do next?" The Frost High Elf Ranger asked and all three of them looked at each other with a complicated expression.

The Frost High Elves wanted to betray each other when they get released from the curse to rule over the Frost Elves, but their species is now on the brink of extinction. All the Frost Elves in the village are now essentially dead as they were now frozen in ice. The heat that they barely produce in their bodies were all extinguished as soon as their settlement became a frozen wasteland.

"Track the Forest Guardian. We must get revenge for what has happened to our brethren. He must have done something to edge the Winter Tree into destroying itself." The Frost High Elf Warrior stated as he wanted to direct his anger elsewhere and not his fellow Frost High Elves as they are all that remain.

"I believe we should focus on rebuilding. We are now essentially free from the harsh curse as the effects are gradually fading from our bodies. A year or two would be enough for us to be fully get rid of it. The most important thing that we need to do now is produce more of us." The Frost High Elf Mage stated as she believed restoring their species is paramount.

"Wait! Did you feel that presence!" The Frost High Elf Ranger suddenly interjected as the two other Frost High Elves were looking at him since he needed to make a decision.

"Elementals! There are elementals in our settlement!" The Frost High Elf Ranger suddenly exclaimed.

"I can feel it too. Why are there elementals suddenly arriving in our settlement?" The Frost High Elf Warrior suddenly asked.

"It might be companions of that Forest Guardian. They might also be looking for him as you have reported that there is even a Dragonkin among them." The Frost High Elf Mage stated.

"I believe we capture them and consume the essence of the elementals." The Frost High Elf Ranger stated as this is what he wanted.

"I also agree." The Frost High Elf Warrior agreed.

"What about you?" The Frost High Elf Warrior and the Frost High Elf Ranger asked.

"There are two of them in the settlement. I want the essence that can increase my magic. If you agree then I shall accompany you in this attack." The Frost High Elf Mage stated as their taboo physiques will become stronger should they consume the essence of an elemental.

"I can agree to that as you will be more useful if you are powerful should we need to traverse the continent." The Frost High Elf Warrior stated immediately.

"If he accepts then I shall accept as well." The Frost High Elf Ranger added which brought a smile to the Frost High Elf Mage.

The bodies of the Frost High Elves were all transformed into a Taboo Physique known as Devouring Elemental Bodies. This is due to the fact that they forcefully consumed stolen essences of the Frost Elemental King. An elemental king should give their blessing to a being should they give a part of their essence to them. If anyone were to do this without permission, then they will be affected by the Law of Causality that curses them in a way.

The curse the Frost Elves were given was their Taboo Physique: Devouring Elemental Bodies. It is a curse that basically makes their body crave the essences of elementals as this will be the only thing that will give sustenance to them. This is the reason why they captured people from the northern continent with the blood of the Frost Elemental King as their blood is the only thing that could give them what their bodies need.

One would say that they only need to capture an elemental and demand essences from them but there is a unique effect their bodies have. The Taboo Physique: Devouring Elemental Bodies release an unpleasant scent or energy signature in the area that warns elementals that there is someone with this body. This is also the reason why there are no elementals in the northern continent, or they basically avoid this continent altogether.

Vayu and Soleil could feel this unpleasant feeling, but they ignored it since they know that Levin Cloud needs their help. They did tell the group that they could feel eerie beings coming towards them which is why Adrian was already alerted prior to the attack earlier. In fact, Adrian had Sirius scout ahead to make sure they are not attacked but it seems that enemies are always present when you think you are safe.

"I do not suppose that all three of you will just be on your way?" Adrian asked but the Frost High Elves started their assault.
