The appearance of an insignia to one of the members of the merchant guild is an incredible achievement. Merchants are rarely blessed by the gods that preside over wealth because they are incredibly choosy. A being blessed by a god of wealth can accumulate it faster and with lesser barriers compared to merchant that does not have the blessing.

Merchants that are also blessed by gods are beings that have good character. Gods of wealth are beings that would take away their blessing if they did something bad. Even petty theft will get your blessings revoked as the gods believe that merchants must be honest and never do anything bad. The fact that there are thousands of merchants in the merchant guild but only a handful are blessed by gods is already testament enough to this fact.

Another fact is that only people blessed by gods related to wealth or management can take the positions of the Grand Merchant Leader and the Vice Leader of the Merchant guild. This is the most basic qualifications in order to become the highest-ranking member of the merchant guild. Only those trusted by the ficklest gods can become someone that leads them. This is also the reason why most people trust the merchant guild.

"Since Branch Leader Piggy Bank has been proven to be blessed by the God of Wealth Plutus, I believe everyone can now agree that he is innocent. The NPC that Piggy Bank killed suddenly turned into ashes when he killed it. The bodyguards around Lady Goldenclaw suddenly took off their hoods to reveal their real faces. There are currently three bodyguards that are alive near her. The other ones that had hoods were all undead being controlled by a wielder of Forbidden Arts related to Jiangshi which is the equivalent to zombies in the eastern continent. The one with sharp claws that attempted to kill Piggy Bank was a Jiangshi. His attack filled with divine energy dissolved the undead as it was weak to divine energy. The Jiangshi User looked like an old man, and he carried this large coffin behind him. He chanted some spells, and he created another Jiangshi on the spot, but he created one using a soul that has a face all of the merchant guild members know.

"Grandfather!" Sir Peterson shouted as he could see that the Jiangshi that came out of the coffin resembling the face that his grandfather had.

"You were the one that killed him!" Sir Peterson shouted as he now knows the truth of the matter.

"Let us escape!" The other branch leaders shouted as some tried to run towards the exit as they dreaded that they might become the next Jiangshi like Branch Master Peterson if they remain.

"All of you will not be going anywhere! This place is now isolated by me. This will be the place where all of you will die." Lady Goldenclaw stated with a hysterical laugh as one of her guards is a Barrier Master.

All of the exits have been sealed off by charms created by the Barrier Master. All of the charms have also been activated as soon as Piggy Bank entered the room. Only Adrian noticed this as he felt the shift in space since he is still very sensitive despite having the form of a cat. He did not tell Piggy Bank this information in case he suddenly panics.

"This fur is very difficult to maintain. Charon, deal with them for me." Adrian stated as an undead suddenly rose from the ground and used numerous chains to lock down the Jiangshi that were commanded to catch him.

"Master, this undead before us is a Lord. My Jiangshi will not be able to easily stop it." The Jiangshi User told Lady Goldenclaw.

"As expected of your uselessness! Murai, get me that cat and you shall be rewarded handsomely with women and alcohol until you drown." Lady Goldenclaw shouted as the last bodyguard she had is a bulky and sturdy man with a large sword hanging on his back.

"As long as I get what I desire then you will get what you desire." Murai stated as he suddenly appeared a few meters away from the Adrian Cat.
