Oh No, Daddy Sent Me To The Beast World!-Chapter 14: This is my clan’s way of stitching, It is one of the best out there can you at least be appreciative?
Feng Yiren reacted like he got struck by lightning, and he immediately sprang up and turned around, but he did it so fast that his tail slapped his own leg, and he almost stumbled.
Lin Huahua’s lips twitched, because she wanted to laugh, but she forced herself to hold it in, since she was trying very hard to maintain the dignity of a princess, even if she was currently a rat beastwoman in beast skin territory.
She was still a princess of a very advanced world.
Feng Yiren’s eyes landed on her.
Then his brain blanked.
He had expected a dress, but he had not expected her to actually look... good.
Her fluffy rat ears peeked from her hair, her cheeks were still slightly pink, and the dress sat on her body like it was made for her, because the shape made her look soft but also lively.
Now that he stared intently at her.
Was her skin always this fair and delicate or did she suddenly become prettier. How come I never noticed this little rat was really pretty and cute too.
Feng Yiren could not stop staring as he slowly turned red.
Lin Huahua noticed his silence, and her face heated again.
"What are you staring at," she snapped, trying to sound fierce.
Feng Yiren’s throat moved, and he forced his eyes away like he was ripping himself from something dangerous.
He scoffed, because he did not want her to see his reaction.
"It looks normal," he said coldly.
But inside his mind, his fox instincts were roaring.
It looks good. It looks too good. It looks like she belongs to me.
Lin Huahua looked down at the dress again, then she pinched the sleeve and tugged at a stitch with a frown.
"The stitches are ugly."
Feng Yiren’s eyes narrowed so sharply that if looks could stab, Lin Huahua would already be a pile of fur on the ground.
"Ugly?" he repeated slowly, like he could not believe his ears.
Lin Huahua nodded seriously, as if she was an expert in fashion, even though her entire past life involved workers dressing her like a doll.
"Yes, ugly," she insisted, then she added, "It is crooked here, and here, and here."
Feng Yiren’s tail flicked so hard it nearly hit the wall.
"This is my clan’s way of stitching," he snapped. "It is one of the best out there can you at least be appreciative?"
Lin Huahua paused.
Then she realized that she really was being unfair, because she was comparing beast world survival clothes to sci-fi luxury outfits.
Her eyes drifted back to his face.
And somehow, even though she still looked picky and proud, the irritation in her expression softened.
"But..." Lin Huahua hesitated, then she quickly looked away like she was embarrassed to say something kind, "It is soft."
Feng Yiren froze with surprise.
That one sentence hit him harder than any insult, because that meant she noticed the effort, and she noticed the care, and she noticed the small details he had thought she would never see.
He wanted to act like it did not matter, but his ears betrayed him again and twitched.
"Tsk," he muttered, then he looked away. "Of course it is soft."
Lin Huahua stared at him, and in her mind she thought that this fox was really strange, because he acted rude but still did things properly, and he looked like he hated her but somehow his actions were always... complicated.
Before she could think further, she suddenly remembered her real goal, because she did not come here to play dress-up, she came here to survive, and she still had no rice, no technology, and no ice cream.
Lin Huahua’s cheeks puffed slightly.
Then she spoke in her mind.
"System."
A tiny "bing" sounded in her head, and the floating fairy system appeared with a cute cough, acting like it had been busy doing something important.
{Princess, did you call me because you suddenly missed me?}
Lin Huahua’s mouth twitched.
"No," she replied honestly in her mind. "I want to go to the forest, and I need something to carry things, so give me a tool."
The system froze, then it forced a smile like it was scared of her.
{Princess, your father specifically told me that I am not allowed to spoil you like that.}
Lin Huahua immediately felt offended.
"So you are useless," Lin Huahua said with a straight face.
The system gasped dramatically.
{I am not useless, I am adorable and supportive.}
Lin Huahua wanted to throw something as she pouted.
No one to serve her in this beast world!
Then the system quickly continued, trying to save itself.
{Princess, you already have basic survival skills downloaded. You just need to check your mind whenever something simple comes up, and it will feel natural.}
Lin Huahua blinked.
She did not fully believe it, because she had lived her entire life being carried, dressed, fed, and praised, and now she was supposed to "check her mind" like she was some kind of survival genius?
But she still tried, because she did not want to look helpless in front of these beastmen.
Lin Huahua closed her eyes for a second, then she focused.
And suddenly, in her mind, knowledge surfaced smoothly, like water rising.
How to weave vines into a basket.
How to choose strong leaves.
How to reinforce the bottom.
Lin Huahua’s eyes snapped open.
"Oh," she whispered, shocked. "It is true."
Then she pouted immediately, because it annoyed her that her father was right.
So she needed a basket.
Lin Huahua looked around the hut like a baby chick again, because even if she had survival knowledge, she still did not have materials magically appear.
She turned to Feng Yiren.
"Do you have a basket?"
Feng Yiren stared at her suspiciously.
"What do you need a basket for," he asked, because in his mind, her sudden calmness was still strange, and he did not trust her, and he also did not want her touching anything poisonous and causing trouble that would fall on him later.
Lin Huahua held her hands behind her back and spoke in a sweet voice that was definitely fake.
"I need it for putting whatever I pick."
Feng Yiren’s eyes narrowed.
Pick what?
This female does not even know which leaf is safe. She will touch poison and then cry and then Mu Qingyi will blame me.
