She picked up her dress from the floor and hastily put it on, not even bothering to put on her shoes, and ran out.

"Damn, Sophie, what happened to you!" Eva rushed over, pushing her into a private room and slammed the door shut.

"Oh my god, who violated you?"

This made it obvious, even with minimal thinking: Sophie had been violated.

"Sophie..." Eva cautiously shook her arm, her voice choked, "I’m sorry, I didn’t come to find you sooner, that’s why this happened to you..."

She really was a jerk. Seeing Sophie take so long in the bathroom and still not coming back, she should have immediately gone to find her! And she still had the nerve to drink there; she deserved to be condemned, unforgivable!

Sophie turned around, walked to the sofa, picked up the tie, and held it in her hand, staring at it for a long time.

"Eva..." her voice was tired, disappointed, and full of despair, "Asher Land, he’s back, he’s really back..."

"What!" Eva’s mouth dropped open, her wide eyes full of astonishment, "How is that possible? Did you see him tonight? Where is he now?"

"He’s gone."

She lowered her eyes, tightening her grip on the tie.

Eva thought it over for a while and speculated a few things, but she couldn’t be sure if it was what she imagined.

"The person who was with you just now, it wasn’t anybody else, ...was it President Land?" Eva asked tentatively.

She bit her lip and nodded.

"Damn, what on earth is going on here?"

Eva was about to lose her mind.

She had to admit that when she heard Sophie say it was Asher Land who was with her, she did breathe a sigh of relief. But why would Asher Land just leave after having his way with her? What on earth does he mean? Has he not felt how heartbroken Sophie has been for him all these years?
