No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 124 - 122 Flower Protector [1st Update]
Chapter 124: Chapter 122 Flower Protector [1st Update]
As expected, as soon as Maya Spencer pushed open Henry Reid’s hospital room door, Madam Reid rushed over to her, grabbing her collar and vehemently scolding, "Troublemaker, vixen, get out, get out!"
Maya looked at the crazed Madam Reid, feeling helpless. She could understand Madam Reid’s reaction but was powerless to do anything.
Liam Spencer watched Madam Reid’s aggressive demeanor and grabbed her wrist, dismissively giving her a slight push.
"Liam, why do you protect this vixen? She caused Henry to end up like this, can’t I say a few words?" Madam Reid was furious at Maya, grinding her teeth in hatred, yet could do nothing about her.
When it came to Liam Spencer, there was an inherent respect in S City; in fact, it was more like reverence. Everyone who met him had to defer to him, not just because he was smart, could make money, and benefited everyone, but also because they knew, if they offended Liam Spencer, they wouldn’t know how they disappeared.
Liam listened to Madam Reid’s questioning, lowered his head, looked at her, and explained indifferently, "Maya never asked him to save her; he jumped into the sea himself. If you want to blame someone, blame your son’s lack of skill."
That night, it wasn’t just Henry Reid who jumped into the sea to save Maya Spencer, but only Henry had an accident. If it’s not a skill issue, what is the problem?
Madam Reid listened to Liam’s retort, her face pale, and couldn’t help but recall the situation that night. No matter how she tried to pull him back, she couldn’t stop him; indeed, Henry jumped of his own accord.
But she was unwilling, not willing to see Maya, this Little Demon, standing here perfectly fine while her own son lay in a coma. Hence, she said, "So, Third Young Master’s meaning is that this has absolutely nothing to do with Fifth Miss? Even if it leads to a life lost, she can be at peace?"
She thought, if anything happened to Henry Reid, even if it meant putting her life and the Reid Clan Group on the line, she wouldn’t let Maya off.
"Of course, Maya can certainly be at peace." Liam disliked these unreasonable women the most; since she wanted to bicker, then let her bicker! It’s effortless to anger her.
Liam didn’t realize that he had become the Flower Protector; he didn’t even mind squabbling with people, something he usually found beneath him.
At this point, Old Master Reid stepped forward, sighed helplessly, and said, "Third Young Master, don’t take it to heart, your aunt is just too worried about Henry that she acted like this. This matter has nothing to do with Fifth Miss; indeed, Henry jumped down himself."
Seeing Old Master Reid’s conciliatory attitude, Liam stopped being confrontational and instead comforted him, "Foreign experts are rushing over; Henry won’t be in trouble."
The reason Liam helped Henry wasn’t entirely for Henry but rather to prevent Maya from feeling indebted to anyone in the future. Although Maya appeared cold on the surface, Liam understood her; he knew she valued feelings above all else, she was just pretending. She simply couldn’t accept Henry Reid’s love.
"Thank you, Third Young Master." Old Master Reid expressed his sincere gratitude, only hoping for Henry to wake up soon; after all, he was the Reid Family’s only child.
Then he turned to Maya and said, "Maya, before Henry wakes up, could you come to the hospital to visit him often? Your visits could be beneficial to his recovery."
"Okay!" Maya hesitated for a moment, but she still nodded in agreement.
Liam watched the girl who agreed with a nod and felt unhappy, but he didn’t lose his temper. After they stayed in the ward for a while, they left.
After the siblings left, Old Master Reid sincerely advised, "For the next few days, try to avoid conflicts and let Maya take care of Henry. Don’t argue with her; imagine how disturbing it would be for Henry to hear this, making it even harder for him to wake up."
"I just don’t like that vixen. If it weren’t for her, would Henry be in this state now?" Madam Reid was sobbing, wishing she could make Maya pay with her life and thoroughly break her son’s attachment.
"You should head back now!" Old Master Reid said.
Meanwhile, on the road back, Liam relaxedly held the steering wheel with his left hand and flipped through his phone with his right, casually glancing at the girl and asking, "If Henry’s dad told you to marry Henry, would you? "
Maya knew he was unhappy because she had agreed to take care of Henry, but why should he care so much? So she lazily replied, "What’s the difference in marrying anyone? In any case, I won’t marry you."
Listening to the girl’s retort, Liam felt suffocated. He thought to himself, Maya Spencer really gave him a comeback. However, what she said wasn’t wrong; marrying anyone wouldn’t involve marrying him, because he had never even considered getting married.
Then, he took a deep breath and said nonchalantly, "If you want to be a saint, I can make that happen for you. You can take care of Henry for life; if he never wakes up, you’ll have to live as a widow forever."
After saying this, he put down his phone, leaned slightly to the right, hooked Maya’s neck with his right hand, and pulled her towards him, asking, "Are you willing?"
Listening to the man’s threat, Maya shivered, even though she knew he was intentionally threatening her. But she dared not argue, fearing the joke might turn into reality. So she opened his hand and complained a bit playfully, "Can you stop messing with me?"
"Maya, have I been too kind to you? Is that why your little mouth has become more and more disobedient?" Liam clearly sensed that today, her tone with him was a bit impatient.
He guessed maybe she was still upset with him for opening the door for Abigail Murray. Indeed, Maya was still angry about that. Additionally, she just happened to let her true feelings slip while he was in a good mood; she despised him, always had, even when he made her feel good in bed, she still hated him.
Listening to the man’s threat, Maya swallowed hard and reconsidered her attitude towards him, realizing she was indeed a bit arrogant. Then, seeing the sharpness in his eyes, she quickly denied, "I didn’t!"
The man looked at her guilty expression, pinched her chin, and unceremoniously kissed her lips, indulging in her flavor.
After kissing her, he stared into her eyes and said, "Maya, obedient children get candy. Otherwise, everything you have now will disappear."
"I know, I’m very obedient to you."
"Cancel the job of taking care of Henry." Regardless of his understanding, Liam still couldn’t bear her watching over another man.
