No Trespassing! My Aloof Brother-Chapter 122 - 120 Burning Down the Spencer Family [Part 1]
Chapter 122: Chapter 120 Burning Down the Spencer Family [Part 1]
As Maya Spencer’s words fell, the living room instantly fell silent, and for a moment, everyone was at a loss for words.
Maya looked at everyone’s reactions, growing increasingly suspicious that the incident at sea was closely tied to the Spencer Family. Thinking of this, she became even more certain that her mother’s death was inextricably linked to the Spencer Family. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ
Beside her, Liam Spencer scanned everyone, trying to see any hints in their eyes.
To break the awkward silence, Jane Spencer spoke up, "Maya, we know you’ve been frightened, but your family wouldn’t harm you. As for what happened to you, it was the onsite reporters who informed us."
Liam listened to his older sister’s explanation, glanced at her, then glanced at Hannah and Elia, and finally his gaze landed on Old Master Spencer.
Old Master Spencer wasn’t pleased with Liam’s gaze but couldn’t do anything about it.
So, he said to Maya, "Maya, go rest first! Once your emotions have calmed, return to work at the company."
Listening to the old man’s orders, Maya took a deep breath, furrowing her brows as she glanced around at everyone once more. She knew this place was a den of wolves, yet she had to stay here.
Liam’s peripheral vision followed the departing girl, a slight smirk on his lips, a cold smile, "If anything else happens to Maya at the Spencer Family, I can’t guarantee the Spencer Clan will not go bankrupt tomorrow."
"Ungrateful child!"
"Nonsense!"
Hearing Liam’s threat, both Old Master Spencer and his father exploded, one calling him ungrateful, the other calling him a troublemaker. Liam didn’t care at all, not even giving them a proper look as he grabbed Maya’s suitcase and headed to her room.
"Edward, is there something wrong with these two kids? Why are they so close?" Only after hearing the sound of Liam closing the door did Aunt Hannah dare to speak again.
"I have matters to attend to, so I’m leaving." Kinsley Spencer never participated in gossipy topics, and when his uncle saw him leave, he found an excuse and left too.
Jane, looking at the strange atmosphere in the house, recalled the scene she had witnessed in the yacht suite that morning. She couldn’t help but swallow and said, "Aunt Hannah, you dare to make things up about Liam? Don’t you know him by now? He just likes to do the opposite of what everyone wants, the more they dislike someone, the more he defends them."
"You’re his sister, of course, you’d take his side," Hannah retorted indifferently. Everyone could see the sibling relationship between them, and everyone had an idea in their hearts about whether it was normal or not. So she completely disregarded Jane’s warning.
Old Master Spencer listened to Jane’s words and said, "Jane, keep an eye on your brother, don’t let him cause any trouble. If something really happens, not only will it be bad for the Spencer Clan, but the Owen Clan won’t escape either."
"Oh! You finally spoke, Dad! Am I Liam’s mother? Why should I keep an eye on him, can’t you? You only remember to educate us now, where were you earlier? Let me tell you Edward, if my brother really is psychologically twisted, it’s because of your harm." Jane exploded at her father’s lecture, especially hating his defense of Hannah. It seemed like he, Hannah, and Elia were a real family, and she and Liam were just extras.
In the Spencer Family, the relationship among the three of them wasn’t good. Edward usually ignored the siblings, not only taking a mistress but also keeping a lover, which made the siblings detest him from a young age. Whenever he spoke, they would definitely talk back.
"Jane, how can you talk to your father like that?" Old Master Spencer couldn’t bear the atmosphere at home and unhappily scolded Jane.
He then said, "Take me back to the separate building."
Jane glanced at her father with hatred as she listened to her grandfather’s order, then helped her grandfather out of the villa. In the living room, Edward watched Jane’s retreating figure, furious, thinking it was his own indulgence that spoiled them.
"Dad, don’t be angry. Eldest sister and third brother are disobedient, but I’ll listen to you well." Elia seized the opportunity to please her father.
"Exactly, the older ones are like this, and the younger ones are also like this. Even that little girl Maya doesn’t take this family seriously, each of them seems to have a mother but no mother taught them." Watching her husband’s sour expression, Hannah kept on grumbling, but what she got in return was Old Master Spencer’s cold stare. He rolled his eyes at her, shrugged off Elia’s hand on his arm, and headed to the study on the second floor.
"What did I do to deserve this?" Hannah complained angrily.
Meanwhile, in Maya’s room, she crouched on the floor, throwing the items from her suitcase onto the bed, organizing them. Liam leaned against the wall, watching her busy herself.
Seeing Maya silent, he knew she was seething with anger inside, wishing she could set fire to the villa, but unable to do anything.
So, he said, "Maya, why don’t you set fire to the villa, let everyone burn together, and you’ll get all your revenge."
Hearing the man’s mockery, Maya took a deep breath and looked up at him, asking, "Do you think it’s that easy? Won’t they escape?"
"You could sneak into the kitchen first and put poison in the food," Liam teased, wanting to talk to her even if it was just banter, seeing her sullen face.
Hearing this wicked suggestion, Maya slowly stood up from the floor, raising her head to stare into his eyes, saying, "You’re asking me to commit a crime?"
"You’re still afraid of committing a crime? I thought you were blinded by hatred."
Hearing Liam’s sarcasm, the girl froze, contemplating whether Liam’s suggestion was actually viable. If she did set the villa on fire, the Spencer Family would be finished, and all her grudges would be avenged. What if a few innocent ones got caught in it? At least the real culprits wouldn’t escape.
After the incident at sea, Maya’s anger had reached its peak, which is why she considered Liam’s suggestion.
However, even if she truly harbored this thought, she wouldn’t show it in front of Liam. So, she casually laughed twice and said, "Third Brother, your plans are really clever. I risk my life to burn down the Spencer Family, while you benefit and seize the Spencer Clan. How smart are you, or have you just underestimated me?"
"Pfft!" Liam couldn’t help but laugh at the girl’s analysis; he didn’t expect her to think so quickly, considering even his benefiting from the situation. However, he truly had no interest in the Spencer Clan Group. He found Maya more and more amusing.
Maya, watching the man laughing, indifferently rolled her eyes at him and asked, "Do you know who I dislike the most in the Spencer Family?"
Liam, hearing the girl’s words, furrowed his brows, stepping closer to her slowly.
Maya watched the man approaching her, took a deep breath, raised her lips in a bright smile, and said, "How can I bear to lose you? At least wait until you’re here!"
Her words unequivocally told him that the person she disliked most was him.
