Naruto: This Genius is Somewhat Ordinary-Chapter 376
The next instant, the darkened sky ignited.
White lightning churned through the clouds, its pressure rivaling the Undying Phoenix from before—no, surpassing it. That earlier attack had required Tōma’s spirit-bound shadow clone to pour everything it had into a single strike just to touch Six Paths territory.
This time, Tōma did it effortlessly.
No hand signs.
No preparation.
At this level, hand seals had lost their meaning. He was standing at the source of ninjutsu itself. Only forces beyond even Six Paths would still demand structure—and those were realms he hadn’t had time to fully explore yet.
Madara stared up at the storm.
Night had already fallen, yet the lightning lit the world like a second sun. Thunder rolled without pause, shaking the air itself.
This one’s stronger than the phoenix, Madara judged instantly.
Then he smiled.
So what?
He’d cut down the phoenix while missing one Limbo shadow. At full strength, this lightning beast would fall just the same.
Without hesitation, five towering, complete Susanoo erupted around him, their forms stretching from earth to sky.
Tōma watched and shook his head slightly.
"A single Kirin can’t break five full Susanoo," he admitted calmly. "Even with Six Paths senjutsu."
Madara began concentrating power into his blades—
Then froze.
"Still," Tōma continued, his voice reaching Madara’s ears, "you’re not the only one who can fight with numbers."
The ground split.
Half the land turned molten, rivers of lava boiling and erupting as they surged toward a central point. Madara’s eyes widened as memory struck him—an attack Tōma had once used while still an Edo Tensei.
The magma condensed, compressing into a blazing core.
And that wasn’t all.
The other half of the land vanished beneath roaring floods. Within that surging water, another terrifying presence took shape. The wind itself began to scream, pressure building from every direction.
Madara’s breath caught.
"I’ve seen this before..." His mind raced. Then realization hit. "Heaven and earth upheaval?!"
Tōma smiled. "Correct."
Now Madara understood why Tōma hadn’t pursued him earlier. That phenomenon had elevated Tōma to a higher tier entirely.
This was his power.
True Six Paths senjutsu.
"Senjutsu: Lightning Release—Kirin!"
The lightning finally condensed, forming a massive Kirin in the heavens. Its body resembled a colossal stag, crowned with a dragon’s head and antlered horns. Scales covered its frame, lightning dancing across every inch, radiating a presence that felt capable of erasing the world.
"Senjutsu: Fire Release—Vermilion Bird!"
The magma sphere burst apart. From within emerged a magnificent bird of flame, wings stretching wide as space warped from the heat alone. Its crimson feathers burned endlessly, eyes sharp and wrathful, locking onto Madara like a remembered enemy.
"Senjutsu: Water Release—Azure Dragon!"
The flood roared skyward. A dragon formed from living water coiled through the air, long whiskers flowing, antlered head raised in regal dominance. Its presence carried an ancient, crushing authority.
The White Snake Sage, struggling to shield the Allied Forces from the elements, froze when it saw the dragon. Its eyes burned with an intensity that startled even itself. In that moment, it glimpsed a path beyond its own evolution.
Tōma didn’t pause.
"Senjutsu: Earth Release—Black Tortoise!"
The land convulsed. A colossal beast burst forth—tortoise body, serpent tail—roaring as it anchored itself to the ground like an unmovable continent.
Finally—
"Senjutsu: Wind Release—White Tiger!"
The world screamed.
A massive tornado swallowed the sky, drawing in every current of wind. At its heart, blinding white light condensed into a tiger formed of pure cutting force. It stood upon the air itself, eyes cold, each step shredding space with invisible blades.
Five divine beasts surrounded Madara.
Kirin above.
Vermilion Bird, Azure Dragon, White Tiger circling.
Black Tortoise below.
Tōma’s voice echoed calmly. "Five against five. Fair enough."
Madara nearly laughed.
You call this fair?
His Susanoo were extensions of himself. These were independent monsters.
But the argument was pointless. They were real. They were Tōma’s creations.
And they moved.
Lightning crashed down in endless torrents. Flame consumed everything the Vermilion Bird touched. Earth spears rose like mountains beneath the Black Tortoise’s steps. Wind blades from the White Tiger carved through space itself. The Azure Dragon’s roar sent floods crashing from the sky like a falling sea.
Madara abandoned the idea of concentrating power. He couldn’t destroy any one of them quickly enough. Instead, each Susanoo engaged a single beast, the sky erupting into layered catastrophes.
Tōma watched from the side.
These weren’t mere techniques anymore. They were pseudo-lifeforms, shaped by Yin-Yang Release and bound by Six Paths senjutsu. They lacked true intelligence, but they could fight, adapt, and unleash their elements freely.
Four of them pressed Madara’s Limbo shadows into clear disadvantage. Only Kirin faced resistance.
Tōma smiled faintly.
As expected.
In a world ruled by chakra, they still weren’t perfect. If all chakra were converted to pure natural energy, these beasts would become something truly terrifying.
And that idea...
...wasn’t impossible.
Madara, however, had already seen the outcome.
If this continued, his Limbo shadows would fall. Then the beasts would converge.
He inhaled sharply and made his choice.
The four shadows vanished. The Susanoo dissolved.
Five Truth-Seeking Orbs floated outward toward the divine beasts. The remaining four compressed into a black shell around Madara’s body.
"Really?" Tōma muttered. "This again?"
Crude.
Inelegant.
And devastatingly effective.
Nothing could withstand a Truth-Seeking Orb explosion head-on. Not even Kaguya herself could tank that annihilation.
Tōma summoned his own orbs, forming a defensive shell.
The five orbs reached their targets.
Light flared.
Then—
Everything vanished.
The explosion swallowed sky, land, light, and shadow alike, collapsing into itself like a bottomless void. Even from afar, the Allied Forces felt the pressure, saved only by distance and the Three Sages’ barriers.
The five divine beasts were erased.
When the blast finally faded, fragments of their power condensed into glowing beads, drifting back into Tōma’s hands.
"You did well," he said quietly.
Madara emerged from his shell.
His Rinnegan flared.
Dozens of black spheres formed in his grasp, each radiating crushing gravity. He hurled them skyward and formed a seal.
"Prepare yourself, Sixth Hokage," Madara declared. "Chibaku Tensei."
The sky answered.
Meteor after meteor began to fall.
